A bit tricky to install but excellent quality.

I wear glasses so ear cushions on over-ear headphones never last that long for me. I've had other headphones in the past where I've had to replace the cushions every 6 months. The original cushions on the Bose lasted 2 years before they started to show signs of wear. The fabric was starting to flake away, revealing the foam itself and the noise cancellation was noticeably less.The instructions were clear and concise, but they were a bit tricky to install, namely lining up the new cushion with the tabs on the headphones themselves. Great product to renew the sound of feel of your headphones. After wearing my headphones so long that the sound felt softer and ear pads were losing material I bought these as a replacement just so that they at least felt better than they did currently.The package came with the pads as well as new speaker covers and fairly easy to use instructions.When I took the ear pads off and the speaker covers I was kind of grossed out at how dirty the speaker pads looked so I was very happy I had new ones to replace the old ones.I installed everything as per the instructions and to my surprise the sound was once again brighter, louder, and the pads were super soft and comfy.For as much as I paid for these headphones new, I'll gladly pay 25-35 every couple of years to renew ... MoreGreat product to renew the sound of feel of your headphones. Awful ear pads

I bought these headphones and they have only had minimal use. The ear pads have come apart and the foam is falling out. I only use them for travelling by plane or on trains which is perhaps 7 or 8 times a year. After speaking to customer service they said as they are out of warranty they cannot replace them.Explaining that the problem occurred when they were well into their warranty they said they would not replace for free. At £24.95 for a pair of rubbish cheap pads that fall apart - plus the fact that many other customers are reporting the same - I feel that Bose should replace them for free. I'm a sound engineer, and I've been using these almost every day, for about a year and a half, and the artificial leather is only just starting to crack. Likewise, you wouldn't wear a suit to play sport, and then complain because it got wet!It also helps to read the product's specification (such as "don't get your headphones wet") before you buy stuff.As for the headphones, they're very slightly bass heavy, but very accurate and have great noise cancellation. They'll suppress at least 80% of the sound of a noisy tube train. They're incredibly comfortable and you barely know that you're wearing them. The very close seal does mean that your ears can get quite hot. Overall, they're extremely good.Very highly recommended!

Brought my 6+ year old headphones back to life!

I’ve had the QC 35 since they first came out, and I noticed they were slowly losing their noise cancelling feature … maybe they were getting old, but it definitely wasn’t due to the flattened ear pads that were warped and peeling from daily use.I was so afraid that I would damage them, but it was super easy. As long as you are gentle and follow the instructions, you’re not going to break anything. It was a little annoying getting all of the snaps in place, but if you’ve ever put on a slightly too-small Tupperware lid, this is no different. It took me maybe 10 minutes total to replace both sides, and I have my fully functioning headphones back again.

My headset is like brand new again. Worth buying.

Using my Bose headset keeps my 52 year old marriage working. When the ear cushions needed replacing I was torn between getting a cheaper, generic replacement or the Bose brand. Many of the reviews for the generic said they were hard to replace. I decided to buy the Bose replacements. They were easy to replace and I don't have to listen to my husband yelling at the TV when he watches sports. Highly recommend. Love shopping at Best Buy.

New cushions do NOT match the originals; they work

The original right ear cushion on my QC35 was flaking on the lower edge after a couple years and, soon, split apart completely. The left remained in "like new" condition. Why the difference? Don't know. The replacement pads came in a nice box labeled "QC35,WLSS,CUSHION KIT W/SCRIM,BLK,WW... ENGINEERED IN THE USA,MADE IN CHINA" and sealed with Bose-logo tape. I replaced only the right scrim and cushion. The scrim appears identical to the original. The installation requires careful placement: the scrim does not guide itself into position, and you have to align it correctly inside the speaker cup. The new pad has blue foam instead of green; no matter, but the new one is actually about 2 mm less "poofy" than the original. That is, the diameter of the new cushion tube is visibly smaller than the original. Does it feel or work differently? Not that I can sense, but apparently the folks who were engineering the replacement cushions in the USA were not working closely enough with the folks who were making them in China.

Nice and soft

Bought as an in-place reserve for when the original ear cushions for my QC 35s end up breaking down (which, unfortunately, they eventually will...this is the only thing I don't like about Bose headphones). I have used similar replacements in the past and they have always been very comfortable. They attach/fasten to the plastic tabs in the headphones themselves and once you figure out the pattern, it's an easy replacement.

If durability is sacrificed for comfort and softness I can understand that, however I can't understand the cost of replacement after I already paid premium price for this product.I had my headphones for just few months more than 2 years, so one could say the cushions last fairly, however I was taking an extremely good cared of this loved product, always protecting it in their case, not sleeping with them as some I know do, etc.After first splitting I sewed it back together, but then the other one split too, I sewed that together too, when now it split up on the top ... MoreSame complain as many others.
