Like pretty much everyone else on the planet itâs been a rough couple of years for me. Iâm caring for an aged parent with dementia and have also opened my house to my son, his wife, their two year old and their 2 expressive dogs as they transition to life away from active duty. Iâm someone who values, rather depends upon, my quiet time in order to be present for my family, friends, job etc. Enter these Bose noise cancelling headphonesâŠwhoa! When I first put them on and heard the quality of sound my jaw dropped and youâd think it was the first time Iâd ever heard music. Iâm not known for my tech savvy but was able to connect the headphones to my devices without the help of my adult kids. As to the noise cancelling: wellâŠthat is a tough order to fill in this house. I can hear the dogs barking and my daughter-in-law telling the dogs not to bark while on âquietâ BUT it is noticeably reduced. More what I would consider âawareâ mode and, believe me, I made myself read everything to be sure I was working the buttons correctly. In other instances (and decibel realms, lol) I am completely unaware of noisesâŠlike my husband asking if I need more coffee. Thankfully weâve worked out a way for me not to miss getting my cup refilled even if I am blissfully ensconced in my happy place-headphones on and zen in progress. I absolutely LOVE being able to listen to the music/podcast/audiobook that restores and invigorates me while I cook dinner, clean up or zone out. It really and truly is saving me and the relationships that matter the most to me-among them, my relationship with myself. Thank you BOSE!!!

I figured the Q45s would be significantly better in terms of noise cancelling and audio performance but these really fall short. I donât want ANC on all the time, and the aware mode makes noise sharp and loud (canât hear music).2. The ANC sharpens/amplifies abrupt noise. What Iâve come to learn is the ANC (active noise cancelling) picks up abrupt noises SO much more than the Q35s. I feel like the headphones amplify or sharpen certain frequencies and I have to yank my headphones off due to keep them from damaging my ears. For example, weights clashing around, dishes being moved, conversations from people around you, music in the background of a store, really any loud sudden sound etc are all amplified and make me jump. These are all sounds I wanted to cancel⊠not amplify. This is the primary reason I want to return these and try the Sony set- I am super sensitive to jarring sounds like this and the fact that the headphones sharpen these noises even more is super upsetting. I donât notice the same sharpening of abrupt noise with the bose Q35 II. I know that ANC is designed to cut out more consistent droning noises (e.g air conditioner, planes), but itâs a super unfortunate result of better ANC perhaps? Anyways I find it extremely jarring and the Q35II never had this issueâŠI personally wouldnât recommend these to anyone- but may be OK for people who want to use them for online meetings or for people working in fields where they need ear protection?

My wife and I bought these for a long flight to Hawaii, as we wanted to make sure we had a good experience without too much outside noise disturbing us.We previously had AirPods Max, but sold them as the aluminum ear housings didnât allow your ears to breathe at all and were not comfortable to wear long term because of the heat they trapped in. A northern winter, the AirPods would be perfect as they could double as earmuffs, living in the south, not so much. So, the first thing I noticed was that Bose nailed the âComfortâ part of this design. A northern winter, the AirPods would be perfect as they could double as earmuffs, living in the south, not so much. So, the first thing I noticed was that Bose nailed the âComfortâ part of this design. The breathable plastic with soft memory foam ear cushions really made it easy to wear these for long periods of time without any real discomfort. Now, with Bose, they have a unique sound and even if you donât like their sound, you likely wouldnât describe it as one dimensional or even the close to the worst youâve ever heard. The QC 45s just arenât quite up to the QC 35s that I had the pleasure of trying in the past. Is the sound decent? Yeah it is, but the ambience just doesnât have as much room for individual elements to breathe with these, and theyâre just not up to the standard I have come to expect for Bose. Are they horrible? No I wouldnât say that, their sound is just more flat than Iâm used to and you will want to use an EQ to tune them for sure.As for noise cancelling, it is okay but it isnât near the AirPods Max or Sonyâs best in terms of NC. With these I can still hear people when theyâre not playing anything and if the volume is fairly low, loud noises will get through. It isnât a huge issue if you have the volume at mid or high levels, as it does an adequate job here. With comparison to the AirPods Max, the AirPods delivered a richer, fuller sound, the best spatial audio on the market, and very close to the best noise cancelling on the market. However, those are anywhere from $130 to $200 more depending on he sales going on.Now would I recommend these? Yes, if you canât find the Bose QC 35s I would say these are decent. Would I recommend these over a the AirPods Max and Sonyâs best? Yes, because I honestly believe that youâre less likely to use a headset if the comfort isnât a high a priority with the manufacture and make no mistake about it, the Bose QC line are the top dogs for comfort.
These are my second Bose noise cancelling headphones. The good:ComfortThe fact they are foldableSoundNoise cancellingThe bad:The really terrible and intrusive start up sounds. They are various noises and sounds they make which makes for a worse experience overall. For eg, the really aggressive start up sound, i have to place to headphones at the back of my ear first to let it play out, then i put them over my ears. Because if i allowed the headphones on my ear during that sound it is incredibly stressful and far too loud. Terrible design choice. The volume buttons are badly designed and don't work when you place your finger over them. The battery life is worse than anticipated, although not terrible. The automatic power off doesn't appear to work. ... MoreThese are my second Bose noise cancelling headphones. The good:ComfortThe fact they are foldableSoundNoise cancellingThe bad:The really terrible and intrusive start up sounds. I've it set to power off after i think it's 15 mins, but they are still connected to Bluetooth after this time and are consuming battery. The worst of it all, the ability to have two Bluetooth connections, ie, multipoint connection doesn't work. I've been advised by Bose to have this switched off in the app, as it was causing constant stuttering and impossible to listen to music. For this price point, they can be a lot better.
I got these because they supposedly had decent noise canceling, and they were light weight. The noise cancelling is pretty good, and you can't really hear much at all if you have music on, but you can still hear everything (just muffled) with no sound playing. Which is ideal for me, and something I really like about this product. They are also not that heavy, and don't give me awful headaches like a lot of headphones do.The sound quality is also GREAT.The only downsides are that the mic is a little quiet, and you won't be able to be heard over the phone on a windy day. And they aren't super tight on my head, so they do fall off easy if you're doing even light jogging. They also connect to your devices pretty quickly, especially if you use the same device over and over. ... MoreI got these because they supposedly had decent noise canceling, and they were light weight. The noise cancelling is pretty good, and you can't really hear much at all if you have music on, but you can still hear everything (just muffled) with no sound playing. The only problem is when someone decides to borrow them, and then it has to test that connection first the next time you pick them up. Even WORSE if they're in the room because they will constantly connect to that device haha. That being said, I use these at my desk, and to walk to class all the time. The battery lasts ages (although it does take a little while to charge), and they're super comfortable. The case also keeps them nicely packed, and they are much sturdier than they look. I usually just put them around my neck to leave the house, and honestly I have had no problems with that in terms of wear.I've had them for a little over a year now, and I use them just about every day, and they are showing ZERO signs of wear or tear. I would HIGHLY recommend these.
Bose used to be the best in sound. Over the years others have caught up and they're not as superior as they once were. But then they figured out noise cancellation, and let me tell you nothing else comes close! In Quiet mode, I can't hear the tv that is 6 feet away from me, I can't hear the loud network cabinet behind me at work, and I didn't know there was a baby screaming on the airplane until I took them off! I was using Beats at work which are supposed to be "almost" as good but in reality the difference is night and day. If you want to shut out the world around you, these are what you need! And they are so light and comfortable! They don't weigh heavy on your head like other headphones, and the cup is shaped so it doesn't touch or press on your ear and become painful with extended use. I bought one set of these for the house on Prime day, and love them so much I bought a second set on Black Friday for work. I've had them for 5 months so far and they're holding up great, still in great shape. I can't recommend these enough!
It's been a year since I bought these headphones and I can say its one of the most intelligent purchases I've made ever. Many aspects fulfill my review. First of all, Quality of overall materials, they are top tier for its price. Design, Comfort and experience is superior aswell. Although Ät first having to download an app to link them to my smartphone seemed far fetched I later saw the value. The sound is crystal clear. You get crisp trebles and deep bass. Noise cancellation system is amazing both for listening and speaking. When you're in a meeting they really clear up the ambient noise so that's valuable for a home office setup.Right now my only concern is finding out whether I can replace the leather from the sponges because they're starting to wear off. ... MoreIt's been a year since I bought these headphones and I can say its one of the most intelligent purchases I've made ever. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out the Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless noise-canceling over-the-ear headphones, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations in every aspect.Let's start with comfort. Whether I'm on a long flight or working from home for hours on end, I can wear these headphones for hours without any discomfort or fatigue. The headband is adjustable and well-padded, ensuring a snug yet gentle fit that doesn't exert pressure on my head. Now, let's talk about noise cancellation. Bose is renowned for its industry-leading noise-canceling technology, and the QuietComfort 45 headphones are no exception. With the flick of a switch, I'm transported into a world of serene tranquility, free from the distractions of the outside world. Whether it's the hum of an airplane engine, the chatter of fellow commuters, or the clatter of household appliances, the QuietComfort 45 effortlessly blocks out unwanted noise, allowing me to focus on what matters mostâmy music, podcasts, or simply moments of blissful silence.Speaking of audio quality, the QuietComfort 45 headphones deliver a rich and immersive listening experience that never fails to impress. The sound signature is well-balanced, with crisp highs, deep lows, and a warm midrange that brings my music to life. Whether I'm enjoying my favorite tracks or diving into a gripping podcast, every nuance is reproduced with stunning clarity and detail. In terms of functionality, the QuietComfort 45 headphones offer a host of convenient features that enhance the overall user experience. The built-in touch controls allow me to adjust volume, skip tracks, and answer calls with ease, while the included voice assistant support enables hands-free operation for tasks like setting reminders or checking the weather. Battery life is also impressive, providing up to 24 hours of wireless listening on a single charge, ensuring that the music never has to stop. While the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones are undeniably impressive, they're not without a few minor drawbacks. The lack of aptX support may disappoint audiophiles seeking the highest quality wireless audio, and the carrying case, while functional, feels somewhat bulky compared to other options on the market. Additionally, the headphones are not completely foldable, which may be a consideration for travelers looking to minimize space in their luggage.Overall, the Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless noise-canceling over-the-ear headphones are a standout product that delivers on all fronts. From their unparalleled comfort and industry-leading noise cancellation to their exceptional audio quality and convenient features, these headphones have quickly become an indispensable companion for both work and leisure. Whether you're a frequent traveler, a music enthusiast, or simply someone who values peace and quiet in a noisy world, the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones are sure to impress. Highly recommended.
