I recieved these incredible Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds and I couldnāt be happier with my purchase! I purchased them through the Insiders as a product review campaign. They also have a āstabilizationā loop (in different sizes!) which helps the buds feel secure and comfortable!I think my favorite feature of these Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds is the ability to change sound modes. Just by tapping on one of the ear buds, I can change the immersive audio from āquiteā (aka full noise cancelling - and it truly is!!!) to āawareā, which lets me hear whatever Iām listening to through the earbuds, and also hear my surrounding environment clearly enough to be quite literally AWARE of whatās going on! Iāve found this feature perfect for if Iām washing dishes or cleaning at work while a baby is sleeping, and I want to listen for any sounds on the baby monitor or heaven forbid (if youāre a parent or caregiver, youāll understand this) - a knock on the door or the dog barking šI have integrated these earbuds into my daily life, using them to take video meetings, watch tv, listen to music and also practice daily meditations at nighttime without interference of the noisy world around me.

I don't like that it only can lay on its side, but that's a minor quibble. More challenging is the fact that it's not particularly easy to remove the buds from the case--and they are not in the correct, ear insertion position when you do. Also, they are a bit of a hassle to reseat in the case. Related to the same, seemingly, is the fact that I've owned these buds for almost 2 weeks now and they have only fully recharged ONE TIME. And I only use them for just under 30 minutes during my cardio workout, 5 times a week, and I replace them in the case after wiping them with my towel post-workout. I also make sure they are seated correctly and that the amber light is lit after inserting each individual bud. YET, they don't predictably charge. I've removed them from the charging case after 24 hours of charging in a fully charged case, and they have 10% and 20% charge. This happened more than once. Sometimes they are 50% charged. Sometimes 80% charged. And, I repeat, I use them for less than 30 minutes and leave them in the charging case for approximately 24 hours between uses, sometimes 48 hours (given that I do cardio 5 days a week and don't wear them during the rest of my workout).Lastly, they are comfortable in-ear, but I do find myself repositioning them every now and again to maintain the highest level of noise cancellation. This is minor, but still an annoyance given the price point and advertised descriptions of comfort/stability while wearing.I HATE that I have to continually troubleshoot them in an attempt to circumvent the above-mentioned issues, but I just haven't found an all-around good ear bud and these are good in a few important ways. That said, even while cross-referencing Bose forums and the internet in general to find fixes for the mentioned issues, I haven't found any solutions that have worked to correct these issues. All told, I feel like I will return them... We'll see.

I have worn these earbuds for 2-3 hours at a time and never did my ears feel any fatigue during or after as I've experienced on other in ear headphones and earbuds. The one tiny downside of my earbuds is that when watching my TV in front of my treadmill the earbuds dont have much volune and i havent found how i can take conttol if the volume of the actual buds whike connected to the tv unit but this is a small issue really asI rarely use headphones on my treadmill. The bottom line is I'm thoroughly happy with my Bose earbuds and enjoy using them as they seem to have given new life to my music and workouts.I will definitely keep my eye out for more Bose products in the future when shopping for audio products.

I have always wanted to try Bose headphones knowing them to be a premium brand and having read many reviews. I have gone through a number of ear buds from a range of companies some premium and some more mainstream and always found the sound quality lacking in earbuds style as opposed to over ear designs. When I received my earbuds they were well packaged as you would expect the card case separates to reveal the various components of buds, case, cable and varying size buds and surround seals to ensure a good fit within the ear. As always frustratingly having opened the box everything needs charging so no fun for the first night! Within the pack is the QR code to download the Bose software for both IOA and android devices. Once charged and with software installed the setup was incredibly easy, it found the buds without having to go to settings find devices add pairing codes etc they just connected and then the software guided through the fitting phase to ensure the correct buds and surrounds were fitted. The sound test suggested everything was good to go. WOW was my first impression of sound quality, these little buds really had some good bass, within the app there is an equaliser which lets you change the base mid and treble and I am the sort of person that loves more Bass and Treble. these earbuds did not disappoint in sound quality for sure. Next came the programming of tap which in comparison to other models is more limited as there is basically a choice of which ear for the two settings, double taps, long taps etc are not catered for in this part of the app. The next test was for noise counselling which I have only ever found work fully on over the ear designs at premium prices. The noise cancellation in a normal environment is actually really good for these, it does not cancel everything but it certainly makes a difference and more so than other buds I have had in the past from premium brands. The only fault I have found is when cycling or running in wind conditions this is replicated as white noise slightly while listening to music. I think the only thing I have been disappointed with is the inability to charge the case wirelessly unless I have an incompatible charger this is not a feature of these earbuds as there was no evidence of charging no matter how I laid down the case and this is something I assumed would be the case. Overall these are the best earbuds I have owned so far, they compare with other brands but will still not beat over the ear!
At this price tag, I regret buying these the more I use them. Bose offers great sound quality and the noise cancelling works well. The cons are that they will not stay in your ears unless you are barely moving, I skateboard with them, but they often slip out at some point and it can get annoying, even after trying smaller fittings to lock them in. They will get waxy and fall out more. They also cannot connect to more than one device at the same time, which is dumb for the price. Sincerely don't understand why they don't offer that feature. Battery life is alright, they won't stay in your ear long enough to die anyways or you'll get uncomfortable. The app fails to read the earbuds often even though they're connected, which means no quiet mode. While they're not terrible earbuds, they simply aren't a good product at this price, which is a major disappointment from Bose
I have the original Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, which I have used frequently for over a year. For me, the advantages of these upgrades just didn't outweigh the disadvantages, so I'm not super impressed. Pros: - Both have amazing noise cancellation, and you can adjust the level too. I literally laughed out loud the first time I turned them up to the maximum ("Quiet") in a noisy gym. - Both have at least good audio quality. I certainly didn't notice any artifacts in the audio from compression or anything like that. - This model is definitely smaller than the previous model, and the shape is such that it sticks out from the ear much less, making it more pleasant to wear. Cons: - Both only have a 3-band equalizer in the control app, as compared to 5 or more for other Bluetooth audio devices I own. This makes it harder than necessary to tailor the frequencies. - The battery life is significantly shorter, and the case only has a single light to indicate battery levels instead of the previous five. - There is a continuous low-level background hiss to the audio that nobody has figured out how to get rid of. This one drove me nuts, but others obviously don't mind it much. - The mechanism of switching between phone and laptop is a real nuisance at times. It's much more awkward than the older model.
These earbuds are great, without a doubt. Sound quality is very good, but the main reason I purchased them was for the noise cancelling properties. I have a 15 month old who screams frequently for the joy of it. The noise cancellation itself is very good, but no match for our little fella's screams, but the aware feature with active sense or whatever its called is just fantastic. For anyone else who uses earbuds for this kind of reason, you'll know that constantly having noise cancelling on locks you in your head and stops you from being able to take part in normal life. As such, I was particularly interested in the active sense feature which allows you to take part in normal life by hearing what's going on around you, but actively seeks to cut out loud or intrusive ... MoreThese earbuds are great, without a doubt. As such, I was particularly interested in the active sense feature which allows you to take part in normal life by hearing what's going on around you, but actively seeks to cut out loud or intrusive sounds. It works incredibly well on these things. After spending a couple of £hundred on earplugs and ear defenders and having purchased Sont WF-1000xm5 and WH-1000xm5 for this purpose, I now use these all the time. They won't necessarily catch the start of a single scream, but they will cut in to reduce the impact of any that follow in quick succession. Also, they seem to reduce the frequency of even the initial scream, and it has always been the frequency of the screams which I found hardest to stomach. As I've been writing out little man has decided to start screaming as he wanted some water, and they didn't cut in immediately, but quickly enough to suppress the following ones to the point where it was was obviously audible, but the frequency and volume were subdued. The app is pretty poor. Other than initially connecting once charged buds are removed from the case (which does give enough time to use the fit test function to ensure that the noise cancelling will work as effectively as possible) the app will not then connect again to the buds, which is extremely irritating if you have to remove one or both of the buds for any reason as you can't then check the ear seal. However, I can personally forgive the rubbish app as the noise cancelling/aware with active sense is so effective. I should also add, that for my specific purposes, the noise cancelling on these is better than on both the WH and WF xm5s from Sony. I appreciated that others, with different needs may have a different experience though. I purchased the xl/xs stability bands and buds to make these fit properly for me, whereas the Sony WF-1000xm5 I found to offer a better out of the box fit.
My w8fe and I have 3 other pairs of Bose Quiet earbuds. We are going on a missions trip and need at least 8 hours of battery life. We purchased this new pair, they seem improved over the previous versions, the ear inserts stay in place better than the previous pair I had called Bose Oasis. I returned this pair for replacement, because one bud would only charge to 80 to 90%.Sam's sent out my replacements immediately, I in turn sent my originals back the next day. This is excellent customer service. The rice point was amazing, return will be here tomorrow, I I leave in 4 days for Brazil, 11 hour night flight, I need these buds for maximum quiet, so I can sleep in the plane. With technology there us always a chance of failure, though even at 80% these were lasting ...Ā MoreMy w8fe and I have 3 other pairs of Bose Quiet earbuds. With technology there us always a chance of failure, though even at 80% these were lasting longer than rhe previous pair every night. I antisapate the full charge version may last through the night, which would actually be longer than advertized. Another amazing Bose product and Sam's has made this an excellent experience and purchase.
I bought these back in October and they started to play up after a bit of rain got to them, although they're supposed to be resistant to such conditions.Since this point, they malfunction constantly which I've read is a common thing so maybe it's just because they're poorly designed.Essentially, the main issue is with the lack of connectivity. The connection randomly drops and cuts out. Then you're required to re-connect which is a pain as although the iPhone is showing that they're connected on its Bluetooth menu, it isn't reflected on the Bose app.So then it requires a "hard reset" which means you have to hold the button down on the case, as the app is so useless that it won't pick up an already connected device (the buds).. pathetic. Then you have to ...Ā MoreI bought these back in October and they started to play up after a bit of rain got to them, although they're supposed to be resistant to such conditions.Since this point, they malfunction constantly which I've read is a common thing so maybe it's just because they're poorly designed.Essentially, the main issue is with the lack of connectivity. Then even that ache doesn't fix it half the time. I managed to wrestle it into doing its job last time by doing all of this and then deleting and re-installing the app and then adding the buds as a new device.Just completely useless. The sound has also failed in the one bud. Poor app connectivity and poor quality. I'd recommend avoiding these.
Having used a variety of over-ear headphones and earbuds of varying budgets (££ to £££), wired and wireless, I wasn't quite sure what to expect with the Bose QC II Earbuds. Took me a while to get them fitting how I liked, especially as the fitment was different to the usual wired earbuds I've used for years, with the ear canal piece being more rectangular than circular. Eventually got them sitting right and the fitment does actually feel better than what I've been used to. Saying that, I often get this little nagging feeling that the left earpiece is going to come loose, and yet it's very much firmly in place if I try to move it about. Tried various combinations of the different sized accessories with no real improvement, but it's a minor quibble, especially as I've ... MoreHaving used a variety of over-ear headphones and earbuds of varying budgets (££ to £££), wired and wireless, I wasn't quite sure what to expect with the Bose QC II Earbuds. Saying that, I often get this little nagging feeling that the left earpiece is going to come loose, and yet it's very much firmly in place if I try to move it about. Tried various combinations of the different sized accessories with no real improvement, but it's a minor quibble, especially as I've used these for home workouts successfully; they've certainly never come close to falling out or anything like that.Noise-cancelling is decent. A lot is made of how class-leading these are in that respect, and I certainly don't think they're anything less than very good in that department, but in terms of blocking out outside noise when there's no audio playing, I don't think they're a clear step-up over what I've been used to.Audio quality is good; definitely an improvement over my various pairs of earbuds I've had, although no better than a pair of popular wireless headphones I have, but then those have much larger drivers, so perhaps an unfair comparison. Only mentioning because I saw someone mention elsewhere that they replaced their OE headphones with a pair of earbuds, and I don't think I'd be doing that myself; these QC IIs are very much for situations where bigger headphones aren't really suitable, such as going outside or exercising/running etc.Bluetooth connection/App seems stable, not had any connectivity issues so far. Actually went into the garage and forgot to take my phone with me, but the signal was still fairly stable, even though I was quite some distance from the source and had several doors/buildings blocking the signal potentially, so I'd have no concerns about dropouts in normal usage, impressive in that regard. Touch controls are simple and effective, although the pause/resume function does "feel" a bit laggy, but that may well be to do with ensuring pausing/resuming gestures aren't mixed up with the next/previous track function. Not a big deal as audio stops promptly if you tap the earbuds, I just have to remind myself to give them a few seconds to resume when I tap them again. I do wish there was a little audio beep or something when adjusting the volume as there is with my headphones. Although speaking of volume, these do need to be at a higher volume level than what I'm used to with other headphones/earbuds that I wear.Overall, a good buy.
