First of all, there's a huge improvement with the ANC, if you compare it with last gen of Bose earbud. You can clearly see that QC ultra does better with dealing the high frequency noise than QC 2. I think every one habe Their own sound quality preference so i make no judge of that. Last time i tried i waited 5 days. However, After i return home and reach a much quiter environment i realized that the statics noise with the left side is still there. So i try to debug it myself by switch to another phone, try on computers, trying different type of Bluetooth encoder and rule out connection interference. Nothing helps.

I’ve found this feature perfect for if I’m washing dishes or cleaning at work while a baby is sleeping, and I want to listen for any sounds on the baby monitor or heaven forbid (if you’re a parent or caregiver, you’ll understand this) - a knock on the door or the dog barking 😂I have integrated these earbuds into my daily life, using them to take video meetings, watch tv, listen to music and also practice daily meditations at nighttime without interference of the noisy world around me.

I absolutely love these earpods and are best headphones I have ever used to date. The noise canceling is the best experience I’ve ever had with any brand. Noise cancellation is near flawless with the ability to reduce the noisiest environments. They fit snuggly in my ears with the perfect fit right out of the box and did not even need to try any of the other attachments and are useable for long periods of time without discomfort. More challenging is the fact that it's not particularly easy to remove the buds from the case--and they are not in the correct, ear insertion position when you do. And I only use them for just under 30 minutes during my cardio workout, 5 times a week, and I replace them in the case after wiping them with my towel post-workout. I also make sure they are seated correctly and that the amber light is lit after inserting each individual bud. YET, they don't predictably charge. I've removed them from the charging case after 24 hours of charging in a fully charged case, and they have 10% and 20% charge. This happened more than once. Sometimes they are 50% charged. Sometimes 80% charged. And, I repeat, I use them for less than 30 minutes and leave them in the charging case for approximately 24 hours between uses, sometimes 48 hours (given that I do cardio 5 days a week and don't wear them during the rest of my workout).Lastly, they are comfortable in-ear, but I do find myself repositioning them every now and again to maintain the highest level of noise cancellation. This is minor, but still an annoyance given the price point and advertised descriptions of comfort/stability while wearing.I HATE that I have to continually troubleshoot them in an attempt to circumvent the above-mentioned issues, but I just haven't found an all-around good ear bud and these are good in a few important ways. That said, even while cross-referencing Bose forums and the internet in general to find fixes for the mentioned issues, I haven't found any solutions that have worked to correct these issues. All told, I feel like I will return them... We'll see.

Definitely cancels background noise!

I bought these principally to aid sleeping on long-haul flights although have used them for listening to music and talking books. They have three sizes of in ear 'plug' and outer rims to enable you to get a good fit. Setting them up was easy and the app regularly reminds you how to use them. I have found mastering the different touches to change function more difficult than I imagined but I'm sure persistence will win through. I haven't been on a flight yet, but have tried them in bed to cut out my husband's snoring or the sounds of a storm. They remove all sound but you are left with a 'presence' of something in your ears - I can't really describe it but it's a bit like your ears are full of something you can't hear! I have worn these earbuds for 2-3 hours at a time and never did my ears feel any fatigue during or after as I've experienced on other in ear headphones and earbuds.The one tiny downside of my earbuds is that when watching my TV in front of my treadmill the earbuds dont have much volune and i havent found how i can take conttol if the volume of the actual buds whike connected to the tv unit but this is a small issue really asI rarely use headphones on my treadmill.The bottom line is I'm thoroughly happy with my Bose earbuds and enjoy using them as they seem to have given new life to my music and workouts.I will definitely keep my eye out for more Bose products in the future when shopping for audio products.

Great Sound, Poor Fitment

When it comes to sound, nothing can beat Bose. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the fitment of the QC ear buds. I have tried several different combinations of the tips in the fitment kit and the ear buds do not stay in my ears. I like the Soundsport much better as the tips were more formed to fit inside the ear, at least when an ear bud fell out of my ear I did not have to chase it around the gym floor.I bought the QC ear buds because I love the Bose sound and noise cancellation, but if I had to do it again, I would not buy them. Too frustrating to spend this amount of money and not have the technology to keep the ear buds in the ear. As a result, I had to purchase the extra large tips, which won't be available for another 2-3 weeks, hoping this will help the issue.

For me, the advantages of these upgrades just didn't outweigh the disadvantages, so I'm not super impressed. Pros: - Both have amazing noise cancellation, and you can adjust the level too. I literally laughed out loud the first time I turned them up to the maximum ("Quiet") in a noisy gym. - Both have at least good audio quality. I certainly didn't notice any artifacts in the audio from compression or anything like that. - This model is definitely smaller than the previous model, and the shape is such that it sticks out from the ear much less, making it more pleasant to wear. It works incredibly well on these things. After spending a couple of £hundred on earplugs and ear defenders and having purchased Sont WF-1000xm5 and WH-1000xm5 for this purpose, I now use these all the time. They won't necessarily catch the start of a single scream, but they will cut in to reduce the impact of any that follow in quick succession. Also, they seem to reduce the frequency of even the initial scream, and it has always been the frequency of the screams which I found hardest to stomach. As I've been writing out little man has decided to start screaming as he wanted some water, and they didn't cut in immediately, but quickly enough to suppress the following ones to the point where it was was obviously audible, but the frequency and volume were subdued. The app is pretty poor. Other than initially connecting once charged buds are removed from the case (which does give enough time to use the fit test function to ensure that the noise cancelling will work as effectively as possible) the app will not then connect again to the buds, which is extremely irritating if you have to remove one or both of the buds for any reason as you can't then check the ear seal. However, I can personally forgive the rubbish app as the noise cancelling/aware with active sense is so effective. I should also add, that for my specific purposes, the noise cancelling on these is better than on both the WH and WF xm5s from Sony. I appreciated that others, with different needs may have a different experience though. I purchased the xl/xs stability bands and buds to make these fit properly for me, whereas the Sony WF-1000xm5 I found to offer a better out of the box fit.

These Bose Ulrra Earbuds are fantastic! Finally, earbuds that aren't dependent on connecting to a "mobile device" to work. Mostly I use these Ultra buds to block "noise" for reduced input from operating machines. or awful "gym music" while I work out. I like that you hold your finger on the side of the earbud to switch from "Aware" to "Immersion" to "Quiet" modes - no tapping - just press & hold. While there are 3 choices, there's not much difference between "Immersion" and "Quiet" and suggest Bose simplify the process with just two modes: "Aware" and "Quiet." Thank you Bose for having these work "out of the box" without having to connect to any Apps. I believe "apps are for saps" and never use apps on product purchases. Battery life has been pretty good, and only occasionally have to reset one in the provided case to get it to sync with the other one. Mostly they sync easily and pressing either bud for the desired noise canceling level works well for both. Thanks Bose for some great improvements to the initial noise canceling earbuds you made, that were cumbersome and returned to you several years ago, during the trial period.
