There is NO better deal out there for any type of speaker. To pay $100 for a $200 BOSE speaker is unbelievable!!. It is considered refurbished but you'll NEVER know. The way it's packaged and the condition is always as new. I am very very picky about my audio video equipment and I could not find even a tiny imperfection on these speakers and this is my third one. Got one for me, my wife and another for a gift. And of course you can't find another at this size and price point that beats it.

I was very satisfied with the quality of the sound of the soundbar. But I could not program it to my Dish remote or my Vizio remote. I was able to program it to a Phillips universal remote which I was surprised it took it. Now I have 1 remote instead of having 3 remotes to deal with. But other than that, the sound coming out is great. I do have a Vizio soundbar on my basement TV and it does not have the same quality as the Bose. I would highly recommend this soundbar.

When it arrived and I tried to hook it up to my Toshiba TV via the optical cable supplied (recommended method in the instruction booklet), it produced zero sound. Additionally, the remote control, the only way to operate it (no controls on the bar itself) is a poor design for a unit this pricey. The remote only worked within inches of the bar and only at one orientation. Eventually, I connected the bar to my Directv receiver via RCA jacks. It did produce a great sound. I contacted Bose. They were very helpful and told me to ship it back to them and they would exchange it when they got the defective one back. I told them to test the unit before they ship it to me. It will be interesting to see if the replacement unit behaves as it should. Time will tell.
