Whoever invented Bluetooth thank you! This is perhaps an unheralded invention, but I think it’s among the best. Whether in the car or at home, the ability to connect your phone or television wirelessly is incredible. Bose has always represented great audio quality. It’s crystal clear sound, and you can literally submerge this if that makes you happy. I’ve had not one problem with it, and it’s small size allows it to be in the corner of the shower. This is an adult toy for those of us, who’ve gotten older but refuse to grow up. All audio and music styles, sound impeccable on this speaker. It’s a buy.

Amazing bass waterproof bluetooth speaker!

Wow! What a powerful bluetooth speaker! Amazing bass and long lasting battery. Beautiful sound. Perfect size for travelling. Not too heavy. Cant go wrong with a Bose. Best speakers always! By the way, really waterproof. A friend has one of these and it dropped on their hottub without anybody noticing. One week later when they got again in the hottub found it at bottom of the hottub. They turned it on and it worked perfectly as if nothing happened. Amd many months after this incident it still works fine. So they are waterproof for real. Buy it! You won't regret it. Very happy with my purchase.

Amazing sound, but strap closure needs work

This was my fourth Bose purchase, with two of those being gifts for others. The sound quality is AMAZING in this tiny speaker. I loved cruising along on my bike listening to music, taking it to the beach, etc. However the strap on this speaker needs to be redesigned. The first two days I used it, it detached several times — from my backpack strap, my purse strap, and my bike basket handle. I reasoned that it needed to be fastened around something thicker to put more tension on the quick-release strap. So after putting it onto a part of my bike with approx. 1/2” diameter and going over a minor bump on the paved path, it popped off and I ran over it with my bike tire. That pulled the skin away from the back on one corner, breaking the waterproof and dust-proof seal. ... MoreThis was my fourth Bose purchase, with two of those being gifts for others. While the accident didn’t affect the sound, it would affect the water- and sand/dust-proof capability. Since I live at the beach, I returned it for a refund. My advice to Bose is to redesign the strap closure so it will stay closed through bounces that are normal during the types of activities shown on their website. It’s too “quick release”. I’ll purchase it again if the strap closure were redesigned, or if a grommet or hook were added so it could be attached to things with a carabiner.

Awesome Little Speaker with BIG Sound

I'm not a hardcore audiophile by any stretch of the imagination but I do appreciate having music while I work and play. I picked this speaker up because it is relatively light and thought it would be a good addition to my backpacking and camping kit. Right out of the gate I took it on a 3 day backpacking trip. Having the ability to enjoy our down time listening to a great selection of music really added to the trip. The sound from this little speaker is amazing given it's size and weight. When not out and about in the outdoors I use it on the patio, by the fire pit, in my shop, and in the office during the day. Bose rates the battery life at 6 hours but in my experience it lasts much longer at moderate volume. Well worth the money.

Good Speaker Needs USB C and 5 Band EQ

I first bought one Micro and fell in love with it. One day, for some reason, it stopped working. I sent it back and wanted a replacement. I seen they had a bundle for the Micro's, so I promptly purchased. Today I decided to do a review of the speakers I bought, and I see they have gone on sale. I originally asked if there was any promotions or coupons I could apply to my purchase, now all of a sudden they have a $30 bucks off special on the same speaker I asked if they had any promotions on etc...??!! Now, I am going to pack up the Bundle I purchased last week, and send it right back to BOSE and order Two individual Micro's, because they don't have the Bundle on Sale... Hey Bicyclists: a great little bike speaker

We bought this to use on our bike commute. Rubber strap with clasp is easy to put on and take off bike handlebars, and stays in place even on rough pavement/trails. Controls are also very user-friendly while biking / in motion. Produces very clear sound even at top value. Plenty loud- you can feel the bass vibrations though the handlebar. But doesn't turn up so loud to prevent you (or your kids) from still monitoring the surrounding traffic noise for safety. No known damage to the speaker so far from using it while riding in the rain. Connects to bluetooth on my iPhone quickly and consistently (not all bluetooth speakers are good at connecting to the input device). Battery life seems pretty robust. Haven't used it for a phone call yet, so can't say if the mic is any ... MoreWe bought this to use on our bike commute. Great sound for the size. I connect them with another one or with a bigger bose speaker. Makes for great sound and spread for a bigger area. Especially use this at the beach. Just attach to an umbrella or anything that works. I use this riding my bike. Just put it on the handle bars. Not only great sound for the size but tue battery lasts a long time. The fact that its water proof and dust proof is amazing. I use at the beach, it gets sand on it and just knock it off. I even forgot it outside in the rain overnight once and it was perfectly fine. Stong durable speaker made for life and adventures!

Likely the best tech purchase I've ever made

At first, I thought, "why would I buy a rugged bluetooth speaker from Bose for £100, when there are so many other, cheaper competitors which come well acclaimed by many, can it be that much better?". I have had this speaker a few years now and I have only positive things to say. It is an ultimate example of you get what you pay for, I have paid more for a speaker of a different brand, that is larger and supposedly has more bass etc etc, for its size this beats it in every way. Connecting is so easy and with the Bose connect app you can remove those annoying voice prompts. The next time you have your devices bluetooth turned on, and you turn on the speaker, it connects instantly, faster and more reliably than any other bluetooth device I have owned. It also has bluetooth low energy which is incredible, it means that even whilst turned off, you can connect and switch it on via your device. This means you can come home, take off your headphones, and continue listening through your SoundLink Micro without having to even interact with the speaker, giving it the "always available" feeling you would get from a Wi-Fi based home speaker system. I thought this was great but was sceptical of how it might affect battery life if the bluetooth low energy is always available, even when off, but it doesn't affect it in any perceivable way. The battery life is incredible, again, I can't explain how the amount of features, usability, battery life, and volume, don't seem like they should be able to come from such a SMALL device. The battery specs say 6 hours but honestly I'm sure I get more than that even today and I have used it for easily over a thousand hours over its life. The volume goes above and beyond the level you might need for a shower or companion music to an outdoors activity, cycling, hiking, etc. It might not be absolutely enough punch to fill a house for a house party but it absolutely will fill a room or even two with enough loudness and enough bass to not be harsh to the ear, like you expect small speakers to be. The rugged construction is again surpassing of anything you could expect, the similar speaker of another brand I had in the past, was supposedly a speaker for pool parties, the beach etc, and one dunk in water and it was never the same. This speaker from Bose however, has fallen in the shower many times, it has also made trips bouncing all the way down a flight of stairs, with no breaks and the music not even faltering. The bluetooth connection is superb, it allows playback through two walls or for example in a house with two levels you can be upstairs and on the other side of the house and it still play perfectly. I could go on and on but rest assured I don't believe it possible for anyone to regret this purchase. I listen to music most of my day and I am also a tech person who has tried many bluetooth audio devices and this is not only the best bluetooth speakers of its class but also one of the most reliable pieces of technology I own, and best purchases I have ever made. I came back to the Bose website just to write this long review after 2 years because that is how much I enjoy this product, and I want to encourage the company to keep quality to this standard always. That should tell you enough about the product on its own.

Perfect for My Travel

I bought this a month ago to replace a larger Bose speaker I have traveled with for work for 8 years on the road. I am on the road every week and present to an audience. I like to carry the Bose speaker with me because I listen to it in my hotel room then have it with me for back up in the classroom in case the host audio is down. I wanted to travel lighter so I purchased this speaker and it is perfect for what I do. The sound is great for its size and it is very light weight. A couple of small design tweaks I would recommend to Bose. It does not stand on its own very well and I have to lean it against something. Consider making the base flat and broad to stand alone. Purchased as a gift for my middle-school son who wanted something portable with better sound quality than a loud cell-phone. This definitely fits the bill, as the sound quality is excellent and what I would expect from a Bose product. Connecting to a smartphone or other Bluetooth device was quick and easy and my child was able to get the speaker up and running and listen to music without opening the manual. Although we have not tested its waterproofing feature, the black rubber shell seems thick, durable and likely to survive being dropped or banged around. The controls are minimal and self-explanatory, and the unit can be recharged with common USB cabling (which was included with the product).
