Fantastic speaker! The Bass, the acoustics, the treble, the sound levels are really high quality and it makes music - instruments and voices sound amazing. The cylindrical structure of the speaker spreads the sound waves evenly - no matter where you place it.I’m a 34 year old that loves portable speakers. From ghettoblasters to a compact cd/cassette boombox to portable Bluetooth speakers - I know a lot about radios / speakers / receivers. This one is special for its sound quality alone. BOSE really made a good one here. The handle is good. The battery life is very reasonable.Connect from your phone/ laptop/ pad through Bluetooth or plug in through an AUX input. Bose soundlink microThe first thing I noticed when I opened the box, other than how great the packaging is, is the feel of the Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker. The build is solid, the silicone skin just feels good in your hand and the weight is surprising for how small this speaker is. Like my other SoundLink speakers, the battery needed charged right out of the box. The battery life is rated at six hours. I played the speaking throughout the weekend on one charge. It comes with a USB cable but no charger, which shouldnt be a problem as most have several laying around from other devices. There is no NFC pairing but the speaker paired with everything I threw at it with ease. The most important issue, how does it sound AMAZING This little speaker kicks out some ... MoreBose soundlink microThe first thing I noticed when I opened the box, other than how great the packaging is, is the feel of the Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker. The sound coming from this little speaker is so immersive and full, stereo sound is a nonissue. Once again you wonder how so much bass is possible from such a small speakerThere is an app for this speaker, Bose Connect but its pretty lackluster, only offering volume and connectivity options, oh and you can use it to rename the device and select the voice language. Im convinced the attitude at Bose is we know how your music is supposed to sound and youre going to like it. I would have like to have seen the app allow some sound adjustment for the speaker, similar to the Sony app that lets you adjust the Extra Bass and add sound profiles. The app also allows you to pair two speakers together for Party Mode or left and right channels. I paired the SoundLind Micro and a SoundLink Revolve. This also allowed me to compare the sound of the two speakers. I have to say other than the directional difference between the revolves 360 design and the Micros direct facing, the sound is clearly Bose and almost identical between the two.I found the Party Mode to have a bit of an echo between the two speakers, which may be the way it is intended. The stereo mode worked flawlessly, even with the mismatched devices. A nice touch or reason to grab a second speakerThere are three buttons volume up and down and multipurpose on the top of the speaker and power, Bluetooth link and the mini usb power jack on the top edge. The multipurpose button is used to pause, select next track or go back, by pressing once, twice or three times in succession, similar to the button on iPod headphones. As the other Bose Bluetooth speakers, the Micro also acts as a speaker phone if you have it paired with your phone. The microphone was clear, the person on the other end of the call was able to hear the conversation with out issue.Aside from the amazing sound, the defining feature of the Bose SoundLink Micro is that its not just water resistant but water proof, and Yes, I had to try this out. I dumped the Micro in a bowl of water and it kept on playing, unbothered by its new surroundings. I pulled it out of its batch, shook the excess water off, towel dried it and its good as new.The silicone strap on the bottom of the unit is quite strong and holds the speaker to the handle bar of my mountain bike with no problem, keeping the speaker upright and stable enough to push the volume buttons. Conclusion Get two This is the best sounding speaker of its size Ive heard.

I wanted this to bring with me as I work around the house and the garden without having to crank the home stereo. I am very pleased with it. As I expected from reviews, it has nice mids and highs and mid-bass. It does lack the very low frequency rumble base, which I only enjoy on particular audiophile tracks I can listen to on other systems. It is true this is not a speaker for people who like a lot of base and/or rumble. I returned a JBL Flip 6 because all I could hear was the bass. It seems like to get a bluetooth that has both clear and balanced mids and highs and a full range bass one would have to spend twice as much as this speaker and also would end up with something 2-3 times bigger. I usually listen to fiddle, jazz, pop, latin and world music.
Yes, it looks like a Coleman propane lantern designed for NASA, and yes it doesn't fit as neatly into your bedside or tabletop as most Bose products do. But the sound? Is surprisingly robust and surrounds the room like a good "shaped music" speaker that doesn't have active "audio shaping" should.I bought it on sale on Christmas Eve after my MicroUSB plug broke inside my Bose SoundLink Color II while I was visiting friends for the holiday, and I couldn't remove it with the tools I had with me. This was a few steps up, more expensive and, as I've said, less easy to fit in in places like my hotel room and luggage, but the sound quality blew me away so utterly that it's my daily driver Bluetooth speaker at home now. After owning a soundlink color 2 for a few years I figured it was time to either replace ot or add an additional speaker to the home, this wasn't my first choice as I purchased a Marley get together mini and disliked it's lack of base, and extremely poor sound quality. When I went back they had this on sale and I figured let's give bose another shot. At full price it's absolutely worth the money, on sale you'd be kidding yourself to not take this home. Easy to use, louder, heaver bass, and easier to blend in than the soundlink 2, plenty loud for apartments/ smaller homes and able to link with others via party mode within the bose connect app. Overall this is a wonderful speaker with great bass and mids with wonderful highs aswell, I've played live, and compressed ... MoreAfter owning a soundlink color 2 for a few years I figured it was time to either replace ot or add an additional speaker to the home, this wasn't my first choice as I purchased a Marley get together mini and disliked it's lack of base, and extremely poor sound quality. The 360 feature of this speaker is a true 360 sound, placed in the middle of a room is it's best location if possible. I have had it on the mantle, in the bedrooms, even outside on the patio and its truly wonderful. If you are an audiophile, but don't have the patience to deal with Sonos this is the one for you! If you're on a budget, while onsale I would recommend over THE MEGABOOM 3, any JBL, or really anything. It's not a sonos, but the minor drop in multi room configurations is worth the investment.
I bought a second speaker specifically for the stereo mode feature. I have two Bose Revolves. One is a Revolve + and the second one is the Revolve + II. The speakers in stand-alone mode are awesome and can’t be beat for pure, rich, booming base quality at loud volumes. But when you pair them, they play for a few minutes then the Bluetooth connection gets flaky. They never disconnect but they start alternating playback on a split second period. For example, when it starts happening, one speaker will get crackly and drop out while the other speaker continues to play. Then a split second later they reverse roles, the other speaker crackles and drops out and the first speaker picks up the audio. This alternating behavior lasts for a good two or three minutes and clears up and plays in stereo mode normally again for a few minutes and then the issue starts all over again.I’ve read and performed all the troubleshooting steps in the online instructions. Both are running the same version firmware, I hard booted, soft booted, made sure only one speaker was connect to my phone, placed them close together and eliminated all other sources of Bluetooth.I’m keeping the speaker because, like I said, they are awesome standalone units but I am very, very disappointed in the pairing quality. The star ratings associated with this review directly pertain to the pairing feature. In other words, the sound quality is outstanding in stand-alone mode. But in stereo mode, it is horrible.
I was willing to use it on every day. I bought it and then the smaller one, they sounds similar. The battery of it is much better than the smaller one (smaller one came without handle)Sound is warm. Lacking lower bass yet bass is there and powerful. Very good for audiobook, talk show, radio and music (not heavy bass musics). While playing heavy bass music, I turned the volume to 80% of its capacity, about 70db, it handled well without distortion. However the maximum volume for bass music is not very loud (<80db, i reckon).Portable, I used it in kitchen, in bathroom(it’s waterproof), in bedroom, in my car (it may not sound very good in my car, as it’s much smaller than those big speakers in my car).I put my ear on those holes of this thing, i heard the sound ... MoreI was willing to use it on every day. The quality of party mode is very good, can cover big area. The quality for stereo mode is acceptable, after adjusting volume on individual speakers. I used them for stereo for some times, I noticed that setup cannot give me the immersive listening experience, compare with my car audio. It’s the excellent speaker for its size.
I am so happy with this speaker. My wife can’t listen to music that is too rough, this Bose has changed her life. She is a dance teacher and had to connect to multiple speakers multiple times a day, going from room to room, and now has a very high-quality sound that is clean and smooth. Listening to songs makes you want to dance all the time. I think it has to do with balance and clarity. The bass is like no other. I tried every speaker in Best Buy, and this Bose looked and sounded the best; all packed in a small, sleek design.it's like a dance party everywhere you go, 360 degrees around you. Thank you for this great piece of technology. The people at Best Buy were accommodating, and that’s why I always come back.
I'll break this review down into a few points; For starters, this is one of the most elegantly designed speakers I've used. But don't let that fool you, it's incredibly tough and rugged. Portability wise, this is also a no brainer, it's literally just the right size for a backpack or bag, and the handle works excellent and feels well made as well. And for sound? It's incredible, it has good, punchy lows while maintaining a crisp and clear high appearance. The mods are just as present and voluminous. The way the speaker is 360° creates a very unique and wonderful Soundstage. Giving you a sense that you're listening from more than one speaker. As though you're standing in a room with 7.1 surround almost, if I compare it to my JBL extreme, the difference is glaringly ... MoreI'll break this review down into a few points; For starters, this is one of the most elegantly designed speakers I've used.
