I love this amp! I've gone through a lot of amps searching for MY tone, sometimes I found MY tone and then I would loose it somehow...I thought i found my perfect amp (the tech 21 trademark 60) I used that thing for 12 years and then, in the last 6 months, I found that I could not depend on it anymore for various reasons. I found out the TM 60 was discontinued so I bought an Amplifi 150, line 6, that was great at home but not live. My son mentioned the Katana 100, I did some extensive research and found that people love this amp..So, I bought one for my son and I used it live the first time at the "Stone Pony" and I was blown away by the way the way the Katana found its own frequency and "cut through" Awesome!! So I decided I wanted even better sound and saved some ... MoreI love this amp! It did not take long to dial in a sound right out of the box, no computer... I'm taking baby steps with this amp. I use the clean channel with an OCD clone. The tone is awesome ..When I order the boss foot pedal I will "explore the space" more.Bottom line, The best amp ever, for me!! I love the tone!! I've never gotten so many complements. People think I'm actually good!! It's really my Artist!! or the Artist is inspiring me to play better..Or a combination of both......

I've been through a good number of amps over the years and I've always stayed away from anything that can be considered digital or modeling. From experience, those types of amps sound good but fail when hitting the front end with a drive pedal (due to the digital preamp not being able to handle the increased front end gain).I had a Mesa 5 25 which sounded great in most cases but I wanted something that had bigger cleans and a more tame volume control. The Mesa sounds heavenly at high volume but lacked at bedroom volume. At my local GC, my rep showed me about ten amps from Marshall to Vox fo Fender. All had their pros but also lacked in versatility. Then as a good I plugged into the Katana Artist. I was absolutely blown away. Huge tones on all four channels (the ... Plugged in a TS9 and i can genuinely say it was the most enjoyable, complex tone I've ever heard. No exaggeration.Solid state / digital has come a very long way and this amp (along with the likes of Kemper and Positive Grid) are absolute game changers. (Hate that saying but it really applies here). My suggestion is to just try this amp. You WILL buy it. Its that good.

#sweepstakes !Being 61 years old soon, this is the last amplifier I expect I will ever need to buy, being that The Boss Katana Artist Gen3 Combo Amp is all I have been looking for in an amp for decades. Paired with Bluetooth, I control this amp from my phone! #sweepstakes !I am grateful Boss has made so many different effects available via the Boss Tone Studio and the Companion Boss Katana Gen3 App.The App is very easy to use, friendly to my bespectacled older eyeballs, and completely intuitive. I did not need to be a genius audio engineer to use this amp or the Companion App. Pick your effects in the App, save that effects chain in a preset, and recall at will. I was pleased with all the available options with Boos Katana artist gen 3 waza amp. Great features, well built, and a great sounding amp. I love the Bluetooth features. High quality output at an affordable price. No regrets. #sweepstakes
Impressive amp. It is very well built and durable. The quality of the sound and the thought put into it is amazing. Everything you could want in amp. At least for my preference. As far as how I gig. Love the Bluetooth option to be able to manipulate the settings via laptop and phone #Sweepstakes
I will use this mostly as a practice amp, as I am not a professional musician. I really enjoy the versatility and the ability to access near full tone at low volumes. Also has many enhancements. I am very happy with it!
Let me say that I am somewhere between a Novice and Experienced guitarist. I have gotten to the level that I play in church but still have a lot to learn. I have tried several amps and settled on two; the Katana 100 and a Fender HR Deville. I was using a Boss GT100 with the Deville in church, and its volume pedal is very useful. What happened was this: I would keep the K100 at home to practice throughout the week and then go to church to play on Wed and Sun thru the Deville. I would get accustomed to the K100 at home and then be dissatisfied playing the tube Deville at church. So I would swap the amps and bring home the Deville to practice. You guessed it. Then I would get used to its sound and become dissatisfied with the K100 at church. I began buying pedals, ... MoreLet me say that I am somewhere between a Novice and Experienced guitarist. Then I would get used to its sound and become dissatisfied with the K100 at church. I began buying pedals, including some high end Strymons trying to make the amps more similar. But I just could never get satisfied. I found the Katana 100 more easily gave me the sounds I wanted with a lot less fuss. I realized I needed to quit trying to improve my playing with pedals and concentrate on becoming a better player with what I have. I sent back the $$$ pedals, bought the Katana ARTIST for church, and keep the K100 at home for practice. Their similarity helps keep me consistent. It was a great move. The pedals and all their tweaking were just causing me too many problems/confusion at this point in my playing. The Artist is like the K100 on steroids. Don't get me wrong, the K100 is absolutely fantastic. But when you play it alongside the Artist you can appreciate the difference in cost. That new speaker is amazing. With both amps, you'll find they can get extremely loud. The .5 watt is all you'll ever need for home. You can go anywhere from clean to filthy metal distortion with the push of a button. Check YTube. Reviews on both amps are awesome and rightly so. Buy either amp, tube amp sound, light weight, ease of use.
After a lot of research i purchased the Katana Artist. This thing rocks. It is easy to adjust to get the tone you want. The Boss Tone Central was really great to get more tones or to give you a great start to create your own tones. I play hard rock and one of the best things i noticed about the Katana was the clarity in the notes especially when playing open chords or any chords, you can hear every string ring out in the chord. It really has a sweet sound from clean to down and dirty. It also take stomp boxes really great. I use a Boss RC 3 looper with the line out and works great. Im just a novice player who likes to rock, jam, play and record and I couldnt have asked for more. Using the usb plug for the Boss tone studio and i can record onto my computer with any ... As a MKll 50w owner, I knew this would be a solid build. Controls are on par with the rest of the katana guitar amps with extras sprinkled in. All should fairly intuitive. Tone is awesome! A bit on the bassier side but that's fine with me. You'll probably like it!
