The four variable controls make it a much more expressive and useable unit than the usual video reviews might make you think, focus as they do on the more gimmicky aspects, which to be fair, there is plenty of that in the pedal. Boss engineers went a little hard on the pitch shifting algorithm imo. Third party algorithm creation would be a massive bonus, but even as is, it's a very inspiring and useful tool.

Brilliantly innovative and versatile pedal for guitar and synth, sometimes like an arpeggiator on steroids, sometimes the subtlest tremolo. Can't think anyone could regret having this in their sonic armoury.

This is a very fun, creative pedal. It offers some startling and entrancing sounds of wonder. The knobulation is a little tricky to wrap your head around at first and there are settings for stereo and midi I've yet to explore. Visit relevant web pages and YouTube for detailed advice. If you fancy something a little unusual and full of possibilities, I would thoroughly recommend.
This pedal is great!! I can use it for guitar and synths.... I've barely scratched the surface!!Some of the rhythms that come stock are amazing!! Great for use as a simple stutter effect also!!
I ordered this at 8am Friday, it was delivered 10:30 the NEXT DAY!It had a battery already inside and was ready to be plugged in and used.Literally within 3 minutes of randomly messing around with the controls (I didn't download the manual) I had a sound which I wanted to use in writing something new.Boss have a really great product here, it is fun, flexible, and inspires creativity.Well done Musicstore and Boss.
This pedal is fantastic - you can use it to give subtle Tremelo or you can go HAM with full noise wonderland or even a crazy arp synthesizer feedback. It's got 10,000 things you can do with it and I've used it on my Digitakt / Digitone as well as some of my sythesizers to great success as well but I love it the most with my guitar.The only thing perplexing are the random 1 star reviews I've seen online of people (or maybe one loud person?) who maybe doesn't know how to use mod pedals. This is not like one of those boutique pedals with zero applicability to real world playing; this pedal slams and it has earned a permanent spot on my pedalboard right after my CE-2w chorus and right before the Descent reverb pedal.
