I got a sample of this cologne a while ago but didn’t get around to using it much. I started reviewing fragrances on here and then I decided to use my sample of this to review. I love the citrus along with the leather/amber scent. I also get a flowery smell to it which I checked on Fragrantica (a website to check notes and stuff) and it says it’s lavender. I would say this is a good cologne for a date night or any special occasion. It’s not too overwhelming and it smells great. The longevity on this is pretty decent. I would honestly wear this all year round. Overall great fragrance and I would buy a full bottle of it.

The Scent from Hugo Boss is a powerful fragrance that definitely packs a punch. When you apply it to your skin, you immediately get hit with a blast of freshness. After that, a nice leathery scent lingers for a while. However, the overal scent doesn't stick around for as long as I would like. Because of this I find myself reapplying more often than I'm used to.

I bought this 200 ml spray for a present. I sent it all the way to Pakistan; sealed as sold. When opened the sprayer failed. No spray. Tried everything including an expert in a perfume parlor. Conclusion was that the press button has constricted path. Cannot be repaired as the bottle is hermetically sealed. Disappointed.

I went to my local store & tried lots of fragrances, but they pretty much all smelled generic/nothing special. I was about to leave empty-handed, but then I tried this --- and inhaled deeply 4 times, before I came-to & remembered I needed to exhale! Never had a cologne where I kinda got "lost" in the scent for a moment! I typically blend/layer colognes, and wear this with Azarro Wanted By Night & The Most Wanted Eau de Parfum Intense (and with a few others) as one of my spring/fall blends. While those might be the colognes in the blend that are bolder/more noticeable/crowd pleasers, Hugo Boss The Scent is I'm pretty sure the subtle one that the ladies really like & compliment me so much on (kind of like Bleu de Chanel Parfum in my other spring/fall blend). The maninka fruit is a note unlike anything else I've ever smelled, and it's really weird that no one else has tried to replicate this. The performance is a little weak, probably need to reapply after 4-6 hours, projection is decent but definitely a scent that's best appreciated up-close. Best worn in a setting where you're close to people you're trying to attract (on a date, dancing, etc.), but def weird to wear around a bunch of other dudes. A little too cloyingly-sweet to be worn at the office.

Bought it as a BD gift. The person mentioned this particular one as a preferable choice to be gifted with - he is used to have it for years already. Claims that this one feels very naturally on causing no sinuses reaction similar to hey-fever, long lasting, skin friendly and really pleasing with its aroma. The larger size is another benefit as it is surely more economical for those who use it on every day basis.

This has been my favourite scent didn't He past few years, moving on/in combination with Boss Bottled. Most people I meet say wow, you smell nice! I love the way that the scent builds during the day and stays fresh smelling of Maninka and Ginger! Highly recommended! 😀????
