I love all my Birkenstock. This is my first closed toe Birk. It’s so comfy and easy to wear while cradling your foot in the cork bed. If you don’t own any Birks and think they are ugly and hippy like, they kinda are but not really. They are ugly trendy or ugly comfy cute. I got my first pair and all my hesitation over the style left. They are so comfortable, the cork footbed is designed to make you feel like you are walking in sand and they are made in Germany. What German designed/manufactured product do you know of that isn’t perfect!? I used to fly Lufthansa for everything, the airline was never delayed or late, you just knew that you were safe the whole operation was efficient and effective. I have been searching for these shoes for some time now but they've been sold out everywhere! So happy that REI restocked them. These are my third pair of birks (I have two Arizona's) and they didn't disappoint! They're so comfy and keep the toes warm. Initially, I was searching for the taupe color but couldn't find any so I "settled" for this mocha color. Now that I have these in person I'm really happy with this color! I actually like it a lot more than the taupe now because it's a nice rich brown color. Excited for it to get dryer outside so I can wear these out!Shipping was so quick. I received the package earlier than expected and only waited a day to get them vs the 3 day delivery estimate they gave me. Thanks REI!

I'm a fairly recent convert to Birkenstock but I was so wowed by my first pair that I've since acquired three more pairs, including these beautiful clogs. I bought these primarily to wear around the house as slippers now that the weather is getting cooler and autumn is on the way, but they're designed to be worn outdoors as well. The well-designed footbed means that these shoes are incredibly comfortable. They support your foot and hold it in place without feeling constricting. I can't recommend these shoes - and other Birkenstocks - highly enough. They're pretty hard to come by so I'm glad I managed to grab this pair.

I came into the store at around 5pm to try them on. I read on birkenstock website is better to measure your feet for the perfect fit at the end of the day because your feet have expanded. So I came into the store to try them one and get the right size. I'm usually between sizes depending the shoe brand, but it's 7 1/2 or 8. The associate brought me a 37 and I told him it felt tight but he insisted it looked right. He brought me the 38 but he stated my heel was not at close to the wedge and looked big. So I went with the 37. Bad idea! My right foot starter to hurt and I couldn't keep walking in them. I had to return them. Bummed because I really wanted to love them and hear only good things about them.

Point being, the size calculator is way off!Determined not to give up, I went to a local Birk store that had the Boston in oil leather (iron grey) for woman in a 36 narrow that addressed many of the issues I had with the suede. The leather is far more structured. It isn’t floppy, it stays open and is truly slip in and out ready. The fit seems slightly tighter too and I can go down to the 2nd hole when wearing a thin sock. While the leather will eventually stretch too, I’m confident that it will take longer and be much less significant than the suede. I’d also bet money that the oil leather will look far better a year from now than the taupe suede. (Out of the box, the look of the suede wins but I’m interested in longevity.)Both materials have the amazing Birkenstock footbed that are truly heaven on my sore, almost flat, aging feet. The soft footbed is comfortable out of the box but I’ll probably seek the original footbed for my next pair as I think the original will be better over time as well.I would love to see Nordstrom get more leather options for women in the future as I’m already wanting more colors. Sorry I have to return the suede.

It felt like there was hardly a breaking-in period necessary for these clogs! They arrived in perfect condition as well. I am a size 5.5/6, so I was between the decision of ordering the 5/5.5 or the 6/6.5 but I decided to go with the 6/6.5 as some reviews said they ran small. I have narrow feet so even with socks I noticed that they were about 3/4 an inch too big, but they don't feel uncomfortable and the buckle can be adjusted to help as well. I actually bought these in a size 6 and 7 in Taupe to see which ones fit better. For Birkenstocks you do not want them to be loose, they have to fit your foot exactly or else the shoes will slide and take longer to wear them in. In those style, the 6 was a better fit. The are very comfortable, the cork is softer on these than original Birkenstocks. Even though the shoes says narrow, I did not find them to be narrow (I do not have narrow feet). These fit M/W (there was actually some gaps on the sides when I wear them, not tight). I wear them for hours without any arches or rubbing. I know the trend is taupe, but get them in any colors, these are comfort shoes. I have worn Birkenstocks for over 25 years, and have 6 pairs at any given time
