Amazing balance trainer!

I got introduced to these in the gym and now I can't live without them! I deal with balance and stability issues thanks to a chronic issue and BOSUs have helped me immensely. My only regret is waiting so long to purchase one for the house - I knew the price tag was worth it, but it makes SUCH a difference being able to have one available at home and not just the gym. Plus, maybe it'll make for some fun party tricks! Can't wait to purchase the other fun stuff BOSU makes.

Great for the entire family!

I purchased this for my 10 year-old son who has an excess amount of energy. When he plays video games, he would bounce and jump around on the furniture. Several ruined sofas and chairs later, I thought this might be a good product for him. He loves it. It's durable and can withstand his daily use. Now when he plays video games he balances and bounces on his BOSU balance trainer. It's excellent exercise for him and saves our furniture! As an added bonus, my daughter and I have started using it as well to strengthen our core.

Great quality and great customer service

I always wanted to buy a bosu balance trainer but didn’t think I could justify the price given the intermittent workout kicks I go on. Now that I’ve committed to working out more frequently, I awarded myself with this after a month of consistent training. The quality is top notch, sturdy, and you can feel why this is more expensive. I wrote to bosu’s customer service a few days after using it since I was hearing a low hiss whenever I stepped on it. Customer service responded well within 24 hours and provided an explanation, adding that I should notify them again if it persists. Great investment and great customer service.

High quality gym equipment
16 February 2023

I bought this because I'm rehabbing a knee injury and my PT had this in their office. I am really impressed at the professional durability of the product. As a product itself, it is very flexible and can be used for so many different activities (balance, strength, cardio) without worrying about injuries like you might get with weights. I was skeptical it could really give me a good workout, but there are plenty of intense workouts online that will really challenge you!

My favorite thing for my ankles!
4 May 2020

I started using this "ball" when I was in physical therapy for my ankles. I'm a bit overweight but I have very skinny ankles, and I don't know if that's a contributing factor or not, but I have weak ankles apparently. So, my doctor put me in PT and my favorite part of PT was using this Bosu ball every week. I used both sides. I started off hating it b/c it don't we all hate exercising and therapy in the beginning? But it worked, and getting used to using it was simple and quick. Standing on the dome side, I'd alternate using both feet down vs just one foot, and then I'd do it with my eyes closed, which is harder if you're trying to balance. My favorite part is using the dome side down, and standing with my feet on the edges, and once I'm balanced, doing squats. My favorite part is using the dome side down, and standing with my feet on the edges, and once I'm balanced, doing squats. I thought I'd hate it and it'd be hard, but after my first try, I actually became really good at it. Now that I'm actually trying to do home exercises, and my ankles are bothering me again, I decided to purchase a Bosu ball (b/c I'm not in PT anymore), and I'm using the ball at home. It's b/c my new favorite way to do squats, and it's easier on my joints overall. I just downloaded the DVD online so I can start incorporating some additional exercises. My one and only complaint is that the flat side has raised little notches in it, where the one I used in PT didn't. When I'm wearing my yoga socks, and trying to position my feet on the edges of the flat side, my feet/toes sometimes catch on the notches. It doesn't hurt, and it's surely not a deterrent to keep me from using it. It's more bothersome if I'm wearing shoes b/c the rubber tries to prevent my feet from going where I need them too. However, as long as I'm balanced and holding onto something before letting go, I can get positioned before letting go and I'm good. I'm so glad I got this and I wish I'd done it so much sooner. My ankles would love me a lot more if I had.

No Novelty Here! It WORKS!
15 May 2020

Occasionally, I notice some fitness items that look good but that wind up become more novel than helpful. I was in my local Target Store not long ago but during the point of the self-quarantine when things were getting pretty scarce. I was looking for an exercise ball to help my son and daughter with their training and noticed the BOSU NexGen Balance Trainer.I hadn't had any experience with it nor did I have much knowledge about it. It was a quite a bit more than I intended to pay but all of the other exercise balls were sold out. In fact, the stock in the fitness section was non-existent. I left the store without purchasing it but made note of it.I came back within the next two weeks and there were still no exercise balls, but the BOSU was still there. I left the store without purchasing it but made note of it.I came back within the next two weeks and there were still no exercise balls, but the BOSU was still there. I looked over the packaging a bit more and noticed all of the training options. It got me to realize that this might be better than the exercise ball I originally thought I wanted. Combined with the fact that my Target had it for good price and I decided to take a chance, purchase it and I'm glad I did.It was very simple to put together but the material is very rugged and practical. I use a variety of equipment to stay in shape but had nothing like the BOSU. The half dome air filled concept as well as the training techniques and tutorials from the BOSU site helped me to realize that this system is extremely ideal for cardio, core and overall fitness and would help me to avoid unnecessary injuries .My daughter and wife loved it right away and I've not yet gotten my son to test it out but I know he will enjoy it when he's convinced he can switch up from his normal routine. I love it, too. I find it very accessible and effective for abdominal exercises, squatting, stretching, push-ups, bounding, balancing, and exercises requiring coordination and balance. It is a great supplement to what I already do and I'm making it a staple to the training I currently do.I was pleasantly surprised in using the BOSU NexGen Balance Trainer and realize that it is a versatile, safe and very helpful piece of equipment that will help me to stay in shape as I approach 50 years of age.

Piece of junk and bad return policy
12 April 2023

This item was just over 90 days after purchase and it started losing air. I started to pump it up and I heard air coming out. I looked on the top and there was a slit in the top. I only use this about maybe two hours a day since I got it. I use it on a mat and I only wear socks. I weigh between 115 to 120 lbs. Because the timeframe was over 90 days, Target will not take this back. I have other Bosu’s that cost way less than this one and the last one lasted over nine years of constant use.

Purchase supposed to make me happy
15 June 2022

I bought it for sale online and after three weeks I exchange to second one because the first started leaking. After 3 weeks training second one had same issue. I went for same issue second time, but Cashier didn’t want to accept that bosu and gave my money back because I didn’t have exchanging receipt. I had to come another day to complete this problem. Then they gave me credit card to use my money in this shop that I don’t want. What It cost for me: I didn’t get all money back and for additional how many times I went back and forth for these bad purchase. it was not my problem but I paid for it. All that bosu were expired, so old. It’s looks like bad business treat customers.

This is just like the ones at the gym!

I tried the budget versions before this one, but they're just so tiny I felt like I was going to fall over just trying to get onto them. If you're looking for the ones that gyms use - this is it.Pros: Large stable platform. I weigh 275 and it didn't even blink when I stood on it. It's so large you won't misplace it. Great for improving balance and strengthening your ankles/knees/hips in a low impact fun way. There are a ton of videos on youtube showing you exercises you can do on it PLUS the product pamphlet included has a link to a free DVD download and wall chart download so you can get the most out of your balancer. Gym quality without the monthly fee.Cons: Difficult to get the 'plug' in to seal it up after you blow it up because the rubber gasket material ... MoreI tried the budget versions before this one, but they're just so tiny I felt like I was going to fall over just trying to get onto them. Gym quality without the monthly fee.Cons: Difficult to get the 'plug' in to seal it up after you blow it up because the rubber gasket material surrounding the hole is highly flexible. It's heavy (it's only slightly a con because in order to be sturdy it makes sense that it's heavy). It's expensive - however - again it's a trade off. If I pay for gym membership but I don't go (especially during COVID) then I'm wasting my $. At least this way I have something to show for my $ and I don't have to go anywhere to use it.
