Amazing product. You dont need a humidistat when using these. You only need to check them periodically to insure that they are not going dry. That simple!
Great for keeping the humidity level’s stable in my cello case
I have five either vintage or very valuable guitars. I have tried numerous methods of humidification. I have found that the Bovida (also when branded under D'addario) humidification system works best keeping the entire guitar humidified since packets are placed under the headstock as well as inside the guitar body. I live in north Texas and with these packets, my guitar case humidity runs on average a steady 44%-47% in the driest times of the year and never exceeds 51% during the most humid. Generally, packets last 3-6 months and I can recharge them a number of times by putting them on a rack above distilled water in a sealed container.

Although I humidify my guitar/music room I always put at least two of these in each case and one inside the guitar itself, (I have Archtops). We live in a desert area and the temperature can vary 50 degrees between day and night making it hard to control humidity. So these Bovedas are my default backup. But they are expensive, which is my only complaint.
If you cherish your acoustic or classical guitar then you need to purchase this product. It not only maintains proper humidity that is imperative for the guitars structural integrity and the woods longevity. But, it improves the tone tremendously..
