A serious sucker

I have been a chamois user for 45 years and decided to use drying towels instead. Tried a few and this sucker “SUCKS”.It dries my large wagon with room to spare and wipes over duco effortlessly leaving a nice n dry surface . I still use chamois for inside door panels etc saving the towel for just the duco and windows. Hints: 1:not meant to be wrung out, 2: these towels take a while to dry so buy 2 or more for other vehicles in the family. This towel is so good that if you thew it in the Thompson dam, Melbourne would be back on water restrictions! But seriously, this towel is good and highly recommended, not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Bought this on recommendation by a relative. Does suck up the water very well off the car. A little hard to wring out. Would not recommend for windows, chamois works better as it tends to leave streaks.Gets to a point when will not soak up any more and as difficult to wring out doesn't work as well if using on a second car at the same time.

For once, a product that does what it claims!

My neighbour used to be in the smash repair business. He showed me one of these and said he was surprised it worked so well. So I got one and as per the title, it performs as advertised. I was able to soak the excess water off the car in one go. At just under 40 bucks it is a little pricy but still, it is worth the extra expense to save the hassle.

Good sucker but size too big for hand wring it out
12 February 2023

It really sucks all the water. But the size is too big when I need to wring it out by hands. I think the best size is half of this one, ie 400 x 350 is better for wring out by hands. If using washing machine spinning to dry up, it is another story. Other than that, it is a good sucker. By the way, it is best to wash it before your first use. It seems a very little oily on it. I am not sure if it "suck" the dirty in the shop or it is factory default.

I wouldn't dry my cars any other way
3 May 2021

A 30C or 40C wash with no fabric softener & a good tumble dry on warm air really improves the texture & drying capabilities, possibly do this before you use for the best results from the start. There is no substitute for the highest g/m microfiber & this product is right up there. One towel will suffice to dry & quick/spray wax a reasonable sized SUV but I do find running over with a second dry towel improves the finished shine. I have been using the microfiber towel along with a hybrid ceramic wax and find it will repel quite a few rain showers before I really need to wash again. These products really make the old style chamois obsolete & are much better protection for the paint work.

Leaves Lint and fibres everywhere.
28 March 2023

Ive been using this product for about 3 months now and I have decided to purchase an air dryer.I love bowdes, i have their snow foam to their nanolicious car wash to the hapy ending . I swear by Bowden's but this , its just not good.It leaves lint everywhere. I clean and polish my Harley all the time and it just leaves all thesse fibres in between everywhere. So i bought another after researching that I cant was my microbires with my other laundry. I said ok my bad.I washed the big suclkr appropriately and used a dryer , but still, the thing just leaves lint.Save your money people and buy an air dryer.

No more chamois for me
12 January 2023

I purchased a Bowden's own Big Green Sucker maybe about 18 months ago from SCA when they were on sale. Since then I have never and never will use either real or synthetic chamois again. The Big Green Sucker literally sucks up the water off the panels drying instantly. But If you don't blow as much water off the car you will find it getting full of water and you should not wring it out, this is where you will need another one. Yes I have two of them. So I say well done to Bowden's own.. The only unfortunate thing is that they are not made in Australia. This is because of the process, no one has that equipment in Australia..

Over Them
27 February 2023

I have bought a lot of these, because at the start they seem good but after a few washes and dries they start loosing drying power and fibres. I think I must have bought 5, washed them carefully and followed instructions but they just do not last. I have now switched to Gyeon Dryer and it is so much better even after a few monthsSorry Bowden I still like some of your other products but this one is just not that good

Perfect sized towel that easily does an SUV+++
27 April 2022

This towel is the perfect size for drying a waxed/coated car. It's also easier to handle than the bigger ones that always seem to end up touching the ground at some stage in the drying process (no matter how careful you are).Super soft, I haven't seen any scratches appearing after use, but be warned it does take a while to dry if it gets saturated and you just let it air dry.

nice and thick
10 May 2021

It certainly slurps up lots of water. Probably not as amazing as the marketing (and paid reviews) say; I had to wring out once or twice before finishing my car, but even damp it still works quite well. I didn't wash before first use like advised, and my car was covered in green fur, so if you read this, I assume you read and respect the instructions. If you're hesitating because it's expensive for a piece of cloth, I'd say try to find a more expensive one because, if it exists. Can't get too much suck.
