I consider this an investment because you pay for what you get.. Out of these speakers you are getting quality above everything.. You are also getting a speaker that is easy to install.. It took me about 10 minutes per speaker to mount and that was due to me having to cut the holes in my ceiling for mounting. As for the sound quality, I am truly impressed with the ability to differentiate between sounds when I am listening to either a movie or music. Great speakers for movie . I have complete b&w set so it matches nicely . Only criticism is if using speakers by themselves as music it wasn't as pleasant . But they are designed as rear speaker for movies . Excellent. Quality. Not a music speaker. In my opinion. Bass is good . bright trebble. Mid range is a bit weak. My wife says I'm critical. Overall what all the b&w set cost it's very cheap. Worth money. .

I installed these for our kitchen ceiling. I had first tried Sonance Magnolia's due to cost but since we have CCM 663's in other rooms, the difference was very noticeable. Bowers & Wilkins have such amazing full sound, so I paid the premium. Even my wife can notice the difference.
I was in the process of updating my living room with in-ceiling lights. Since I was installing lights in the ceiling, I decided to upgrade my home audio as well. I already had a decent a/v receiver but needed some oomph for the surround sound. I got that and more from these speakers in that the all-channel sounds amazing too ! They look great because they blend in the ceiling along with the lights.
Unbelievably easy and clever install. Once holes cut, it’s maybe five minutes per speaker and you are done.Sound is very nice. Speakers are very efficient so don’t need a lot of wattage from your amp. Being able to adjust tweeter orientation also a helpful feature.
I’ve owned these for nearly three years now for in ceiling Dolby Atmos/DTS:X effects and they sound truly phenomenal. With their adjustable tweeters and 6” mid bass driver with on and off axis setting with deep enclosures for better resonating bass. I love these speakers!
I bought this to replace one that got damaged. It was nice that they were willing to sell me only one since they normally come as a pair. Also nice that they called me to confirm to avoid any surprises.They shipped quickly and the new unit popped right into the existing cage. I love the sound quality on these.
Replaced my floor standing Bowers & Wilkins with these and was pleasantly surprised at the clarity and overall sound quality. I did build backer boxes that help with sound direction and base levels. The install was very easy and I like the clean look they provide.
Bought this 8 inch speaker to use as an atmos height speakers. Have to agree its an an overkill with the current contents , the amount of sound . But if you can use this as a zone 2 speakers .It would be worth the money
