This is a great shaver that provides a good close shave. The charge is retained for several days. Easy to clean - just detach the blade assembly and brush it clean. I don't have a beard so cannot comment on its ability to deal with a beardful of facial hair. Nevertheless great value for the price. I would highly recommend it.

Now I only use this to trim off longer hair before a wet shave, on its own it doesn't perform well enough
I owned a Series 3 before, which eventually died after 5 years. Even though the Series 5 should be more "premium" than the Series 3, the build quality feels worse.Shaving result about the same as with the Series 3 (longer than "one day" beard needs multiple passes)
So far I haven't noticed any problem. In few minutes I am clean shaved.
