This purchase was to replace my Braun 7570 which was only able to be used when plugged in, sometimes. The series 8 is a big difference. Everything from the ease of handling to the quality of the shave has been a massive improvement. Typical German engineering and quality, the series 8 is a joy to use. I opted for the basic series 8 without the cleaning station. The one that the 7570 came with was always a kluge at best, the replacement cartridges are expensive and you can’t take it with you when you travel anyway. The battery life is exceptional. All-in-all a solid buy and a great purchase.

I've had a series 3 Braun for years and was very happy, but it was starting to need frequent recharging so thought I'd upgrade. I'm very pleased with the new shaver which gives a close shave and has excellent battery life. I've had it for a month now and have just recharged it once since the initial charge, using it once a day. A big improvement. It's perhaps a little noisier than the old one, but I don't find that a problem. The trimmer is a bit narrower than on my old shaver, but, again, I haven't found that's caused any difficulty. Overall, I think it's a quality shaver.

Of all the Shavers I have owned over the years, this Braun Series 8 model 8330S is by far the worst of the last 30 years. It drags over the face when shaving and is uncomfortable to use. It is clunky and noisy and sounds as if parts are loose. The foil release is difficult to use and seems to be out of adjustment. It takes several attempts to get the foil out and back in. I have a Braun Series 5 shaver which is superior to this Series 8. I plan to return this shaver because it is either a defective product or because it is does not perform as claimed. I would not recommend this product.

I received a Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 8 8417s Electric Foil Shaver with Precision Beard Trimmer. It was a good overall razor. I definitely needed less passes over a specific area to get rid of all my facial hair than I have needed with other razors and it has a good batter life. Clean up was also easier of the razor itself than some electric razors I've had in the past. My only concern with this razor is that while I'm shaving I would get hair clippings that would fall over my hand and arm. Although this is true for all razors, I feel like it didn't capture shavings as well as other razors I've had before. I admit I can be picky with products I use on my beard (my wife makes fun of me) but it's important to use products of quality. I used to go to the barber more often but since Covid I started grooming at home . This razor works extremely well, especially compared to the machine I was previously using. "Precision" trimmer is very accurate, it allows me to achieve the look of a barber by myself. I'll be going into the office more often in the near future and this will be a daily use product for me. We're also planning to purchase these as Christmas presents as well.
I received the Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 8 8417s Electric Foil Shaver with Precision Beard Trimmer free in exchange for my honest review. My husband tested it by shaving once a day for 2 weeks and he liked it. It charged fast, and the razor is easy to hold. He liked the look of it, the silver metallic feeling, and everything. The blade worked well and shaved clean. Only complaint is that sometimes it wasn't "precisely" close to the face, so it did leave out some spots, very small spots tho. Otherwise, it's an excellent shaver.
