Series 9 Pro is a big step up in quality, styling and efficiency compared to older Braun 5770. It is quiet and smoother and gives a decent result. I can only compare to my old shave as I have not ever owned other than Braun in my 45 years of shaving. Battery seems powerful enough to give a thorough shave (after my first 4 shaves, battery indicator still shows as full). I haven't tried the cleaning station as yet because instructions indicate you must replace cleaning cassette after 8 weeks from when you open it. A 5 pack from Shaver Shop costs about $55. I may just stick to the good ol' brush and water rinse for now at least.

I had an old 5015 model Braun and the rechargeable battery wouldn’t hold charge so decided to upgrade. The 5015 model was a reasonable shave, as far as electric shavers go. However the 9000 wet/dry is worse than the old. It leaves random hairs, doesn’t cut as close and the head is too large for around nose. If it wasn’t for the $500+ price tag, I’d throw it away and buy the $150 series 5.Not as good as cheaper models, don’t waste your money

I have been shaving with Braun shavers for years, switching from rotary for the closer shave. I upgraded to the Series 9 Pro from the Series and was not really expecting a major change in overall shave closeness and quality. However, once I shaved with the Series 9 Pro, I did feel a noticeable difference! I am happy so far with the purchase and the PowerCase is a nice touch for longer trips. I still have the case from my Series 9 that i will use for weekenders due to the smaller, compact size of that case. No change that I can tell with the 5-in-1 smart care center (just a fancy name for cleaning/charger dock) from previous models. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to many, many years of use.
Amazing shaver, very smooth, clean shave, never had anything like it. Cleaning station is very cool too, leaves shaver spotless and ready for next time. I was very impressed that it shaves a 1 day growth too. The travel case is very high quality too, feels great. Only con would be if you shave a long beard, the trimmer is pretty average, better to trim with something else and then use the shaver when its short for a clean shave.
I got this from the shaver shop Australia. Love everything about this shaver only thing I am disappointed in, is the price back in December 2021 this exact model was going for $490 now in 2023 I paid a whoping $549 how do you get a $60 increase? I have my friend's receipt to prove this i kinda feel ripped off, even the cartridge head has gone up by $10. Price should be going lower as this model is getting older, Build Quality seems very poor for something that's worth $549. Giving 3 stars coz the value is a disgrace otherwise its a 10/10 for shaving.

Great shaver - Finally an electric shaver that gets 98% of the hair on my neck shaved clean. Good enough i don't need to touch up with a blade and doesn't irritate my skin as much as a blade does.The cleaning station works well and the portable battery charger case seems like it will help for when i do work trips. Currently using twice a week so on 3-4 day growth shaves and TBH i prob wouldn't go too much past that - however my bead is fairly corse.I've been trying all the electric razors as of late and this has won the battle for me at least.
Closer than a Braun series 7 shave, about as close as a Gillette fusion 5 razor shave. I don’t have a thick beard so there can be some stragglers left behind on my neck line, but it’s easily fixed up with the pop out trimmer. My old of series 7 is almost 8 years old or so and the battery and head needed replacing so I treated myself and upgraded to the 9. Nice that it’s waterproof, self cleaning and a closer shave. Just as comfortable as before, hopefully it’s as reliable as well. Haven’t tried the free travel battery thingy but looks sharp and a great idea if you long trips and have a fast growing beard.
