I had a no touch thermometer for my baby but I questioned it’s accuracy so we bought this ear thermometer. I have never been so happy. It’s so nice that we can use it on the entire family by simply selecting the age of the person who needs their temperature checked. You can use it on an infant, toddler or adult which I trying improves the accuracy. So far it has been amazing for my toddler that seems to always be running a temperature. The color indicator keeps my child intrigued long enough that he stays still for me to take his temperature. The reading is very fast too; only takes a few seconds to get the results. I was also happy that it came with a pack of covers for the end so we didn’t have to buy them separately.

Accurate

I needed a new thermometer that my kids wouldn’t fuss about. The ones you use in the mouth were just becoming an issue. So I purchased this in ear one. It’s been great. The kids like it better and it’s user friendly. The only thing I noticed is that you have to have the lens covers in order for the device to turn on and work. The good thing is that some of the lens already come in the box so you don’t have to go out and purchase any right away. Otherwise it fits nicely in your hand and the screen is large enough to read the results with out straining to see. It has a backlighting also for those late night checks.

Amazingly Quick!

When I first got this thermometer, I tested it out on my children to see how it worked. I was not disappointed. It was very easy to click the lens filter on and even easier to pull the trigger to pop it off. It gave me a reading in about 2 seconds. However, the true test came the other night when my son woke up with a fever at 3 am. I was able to quickly take his temperature and got him medicine to help with the fever. There was no waiting forever to take it under the arm and no discomfort with doing it orally.

Finding the perfect thermometer can be a bother. But this easy to use and read ear thermometer has been an absolute life saver for me since COVID started. It easily reads and gauges temp changes. It also comes with replaceable one time use ear covers so as not to have any cross contamination with anyone else should they use it. I wish I had gotten this thermometer sooner. I love the save last temp feature for quick reference on those long nights with baby.

Easy to use!

This ear thermometer is an excellent addition to any first aid kit or home medicine cabinet. Taking temps is a breeze with this unit. Very simple to operate: just put a new, clean plastic cover on the tip, push the power button, insert tip into ear and wait. It takes maybe 20 seconds (if that) and has a digital readout, making it impossible to mess up reading. I like the case that comes with the thermometer as it makes storing it easy and also has space to hold the plastic tip covers. I recommend thus to literally anyone, but especially those with small children as this is am easy and quick way to get an accurate temp on kids.

Great features

I bought this a month ago and I'm so glad I did.This Braun Thermometer works great and you don't have to worry if it's going to work one time and not the next. I need accuracy, at home and work. I like them because they give an accurate temperature all the time, unlike oral temperature readings which are distorted if the person drinks a liquid within 15 minutes of the reading. They register faster than any oral thermometer. It is cost effective to use them because the plastic covers do not cost very much. I would heartily recommend these both for individual and medical office use. This brand is always for me!

Great product!

The Braun Thermoscan ear thermometer is great! It's extremely simple to use, comes with 2 AA batteries and 20 filters so it's ready to use! I love it, and I recommend to anyone. But especially those with small children or special needs because it's so quick, it only took a few seconds once you place it in your ear. I have a 7 year old with Down Syndrome and she allowed me to take her temp with no problem, I don't even think she knew I did anything. With a regular thermometer that's needs to be placed under your arm, she did not do well cause she would move around and try to grab it, and forget about in mouth! This ear thermometer works very well and actually came with a case as well to keep it safe! Buy this if you a kids, especially babies or squirrels lol!

Great thermometer

I received this thermometer about a month ago and just had to use it. My son was sick and seemed ok but starting getting very warm. And then i remembered i had this. So i used it and was extremely impressed how easy and fast it took the temperature and accurately. I took my own temperature right after for comparison and it was correct. I really like the replacement tips that are disposable they come in handy. Made me realize its safe and sanitary. With a quick push of the button without touching the tip that goes into the ear the plastic replaceable tip comes off with ease. No need to worry about touching it with your bare hands or getting possible contamination. It is battery powered and works great. I love that i can take it with me anywhere. This one is so much faster and much more reliable than the old one. It is super accurate. Much more accurate than the in mouth one. There was up to a 0.2 variance in repeat measurements, but that's not a huge deal deal breaker for me. What was even better was that when you turn on the thermometer, the last measurement is stored in the device. My favorite feature is that the covers store right in the devices handle. I actually modified this to screw into my bathroom wall so it is out of kids reach but everything is right together. If you have multiple kids, you will go through the covers VERY quickly and the replacements are ~$10. I went through a whole box in 2 days. I know for sterility, they should be replaced every time but I found myself using rubbing alcohol to clean in between uses. Overall, it is a great improvement from traditional thermometer devices but the upkeep is slightly annoying.
