I used this product on my darling big boy cat one month ago and he became ill, he is a healthy cat and normally very active but he became extremely lethargic and would not move from the one spot even to eat for 2 days. He looked droopy eyed and unwell I was afraid I had poisoned him. He was not able to lick it this was only from the correct application. I never had this happen with Advocate , I will never use this product again.

Our boys look very similar as they are brothers. Our main concern is to not double dose. Once each one is given the treatment they depart very quickly. Not for long as they both know where their bread is buttered. On the serious side, our boys are well suited to Bravecto Plus

The treatment is very difficult to remove from fur after it has dried up and has ruined their fur too (both long haired cats). I would not recommend this product at all

My cats had been battling fleas for months that were brought in by my dog. They were on Frontline (for their whole lives) but that was clearly ineffective since they got fleas anyway. With the combination of this and Capstar we have been flea free for about 6 months now! I will continue to use this product for sure!
I feel guilty using this on my cats. My boy who is only 3.5 years old, who has always been just a gentle baby, started attacking my two girls!!! He just looked so angry and was hissing, had his ears were down, as if he thought he will be attacked! While my other cat was not even close to him, and not even looking his way. It will be a week now since i applied it, my cats had to be on Gabapentin to relax them towards each other. They are still getting stressed towards each other when the medication wears off. He had blood tests and urinalysis to rule out any other problems. So our Vet has suggested not to use this on my cats anymore. I really regret buying this.
I have been using this on my two rescue cats for about 2 years now. They've been through two summers using this product. This year has been particularly bad for ticks and fleas. But what happens with this product is the ticks try to bite my cats and they die soon after. So I just see dead ticks on my cats and brush them out. Haven't seen any fleas at all. It's been great!

Thankfully the fever eased off, he got his energy back and the dark patch disappeared. I researched Bravecto and realised all of these symptoms came from this highly toxic pesticide: lethargy, fever, eye problems, elevated liver values. There are lots of articles on the web urging pet owners to avoid using Bravecto and petitions fighting for it to be taken off market. Never again will I be applying this poison to my babies. Please do not buy this product - do not risk your pet's health or life.
Before buying I did see reviews of people whose pet got unwell or had skin reactions from this but I bought it anyway as there are lots of paralysis ticks in my area and it lasts two months. Applied to 6 cats, now a week later 1 cat has a 4x4cm bald patch with red irritated skin where we applied. There's more liquid volume than other topical treatments I've tried but the smell isn't that strong. I notice where it's applied stays sticky/wet for longer. I am still recommending since the rest of our cats are okay and if it works a 2 month application period is good, but keep an eye out for adverse reactions in your pet if you try.
Most importantly this works and keeps the cats safe from ticks; we live in a tick hotspot on a bush block and us humans have had ticks attach to us, the cats are have not.Unlike other topical products this doesn't smell strongly and the small volume of liquid makes this easier to apply to wriggling cats.On local professionals (vets, Cattery owner) advice we re-apply after 8 weeks, not 10.Only downside is it appears to knock the cats about for 24-48 hrs after application (very sleepy, not as hungry or active as usual)
