I have been a very big fan of twilight for a very long time and I got this for Christmas and it was amazing. as a kid, I had a really good reading level so it wasn’t hard for me to read it . I like how this book has different parts some Bella’s and some being Jacob . The plot is very different from the movie obviously in the movie we get a vision of what would happen if they had a war as in for the book, they didn’t have one I would recommend reading it.

Absolutely love this book!

As the movie release date for this last installment of the Twilight Saga gets closer, my friend and I decided we wanted to re-read Breaking Dawn. In looking for my copy of the book I remembered it was in storage after having moved recently and was not brought over to our new place. Because I had to read this book again and just couldn't fathom waiting for it to become available at the library, I bought another copy. To me, the story is that good. I must say that in my opinion twilight and breaking dawn are the best books out of the whole series. Please don't misunderstand, I do love the other 2...new moon, with its exceptional way of making me feel exactly what bella feels after edward disappears, and eclipse with it's suspense. You must read this book if you haven't already, and if you have....read it again.

Awesome read, I couldn't put it down.

Well, if you've come this far in the series I would definitely recommend getting this book and finishing the saga. This is written just as well as the first three in the series. Many answers to questions that you may have from the first three books will be found here. Does Bella ever become a vampire? Will Jacob ever find love? Will Renee flip out when Bella announces that she is engaged? Get this book to find out these wonderful details and more.

Breaking Dawn is an enjoyable read, a good conclusion for Twilight series.
9 September 2012

I began reading the Twilight series because my 14 yr old was reading the books. I like to be aware of her activities. They were clearly fiction and we talked together about them. I did enjoy reading them, too. Breaking Dawn is the 4th and final book of the series, and it tied together all of the characters and the relationships among them. It was an easy read and kept my interest. It had action, emotional turmoil, romance, personal conflicts, and dealt with moral issues as well. I enjoyed the characters and the plot: Edward and Bella's fierce love for each other and his struggle to keep her safe, even from his own vampire desires for human blood. Jacob's fierce love for Bella and the strength of their friendship, despite the conflict between the vampires and the werewolves. The bonds of Jacob's pack, the support of the Cullen's family. The wedding, the birth of the child, the unity of all to protect first Bella and then her child. I found the ending to be surprising, even somewhat anti-climatic. It left me wondering, "what happened next? How did relationships change with Bella and Esme, Rosalie, Alice? Did she and Edward go on to college? Did the child grow to adulthood? Did she bond to Jacob? What about the werewolf packs? Did the the vampire groups keep in contact? Did the Volturi accept defeat?" It did not seem to have the finality expressed, for example, in the Harry Potter series. I appreciated Ms Meyer's listing of the members in the various vampire clans to help me keep them straight, especially as they prepared for battle. This may have been the last book in the Twilight series but enough questions remain for more. I guess the best compliment for an author is her readers wanting more. Kudos to Stephenie Meyer.

Full Of Forks Goodness

Breaking Dawn is the fourth and final novel in Stephenie Meyer's hugely popular Twilight saga. With all the hype surrounding the release of Breaking Dawn I doubt that there is anyone left on the planet that isn't aware of the books publication! However, readers who haven't read any of the previous books in this saga should not be tempted to start here - you really need to read these books in order since the story continues over the series. For readers who have read Stephenie Meyer's previous offerings Breaking Dawn is the long awaited and highly anticipated end to the compelling tale of vampire Edward and human Bella's impossible romance. Beginnings can be tricky but Twilight got this series off to a fantastic start with its modern day fairy tale quality and heart stopping romance. New Moon further built on that with Bella and Edward's bleakly painful separation and subsequent happy reunion - but since the end of New Moon the romantic tension that had been driving the story into the heady heights compelling reading has been lacking. As a result Eclipse was a different novel - it was clear that what ever happened in Eclipse Edward and Bella would be together forever - and the stresses on their relationship came from outside forces rather than from within the relationship itself. Breaking Dawn is similar. The romantic tension between Edward and Bella is non-existent - it is clear that whatever happens to them (death, Jacob, mutant vampire baby) their love is non-negotiable and to a certain extent this alters the feel of the story, losing some of the romantic magic of Twilight in the process. If beginnings are tricky, endings are fraught with difficulties. At the beginning readers have no expectations but by the end everyone seems to have an opinion on how they would have finished the book if they were writing it. Thankfully Stephenie Meyer was writing the ending so the resulting story is a good one and in my opinion a fitting end to this fantastic series. In Breaking Dawn Stephenie Meyer addresses one of the major issues that some readers had with Bella's character - namely that she wasn't independent enough. This novel sees Bella coming into her own power and proving that she is more that capable of independent thought and action. While the Cullen family vampires have always been kind to Bella, it has been clear that she was no match for this talented bunch - but Bella's character gains strengths that make her just as unique and talented as the rest of her new family.Breaking Dawn is a weighty novel, weighing in at over 750 pages but it doesn't feel like a long read. The story is well paced and well balanced, with a mixture of exciting supernatural action as well as good character development and romance. The strength of Stephenie Meyer's writing as ever lies in her exploration of love in its many guises and Breaking Dawn gives her the opportunity to examine the relationships between mother and child, father and daughter, husband and wife and the bonds of friendship.Breaking Dawn is a different novel to Twilight (and New Moon) and some readers may be disappointed by this but I'm not one of them. I don't want to keep buying the same story over and over again just with a different title and cover picture - I enjoy seeing the development of the characters as well as seeing the development of the author's writing. Breaking Dawn is more like Eclipse, Edward and Bella are sure of their love for each other but outside forces (this time it's the Volturi) may tear them apart as the story reaches its thrilling climax. The only small gripe I have about this novel is that in wrapping up the story every loose end has been neatly tied into a pretty bow - sometimes it's good to leave something dangling in the breeze! Oh, and I don't like the book's cover either. But apart from that, this book is all that I was personally hoping it would be.Full of Forks goodness, Breaking Dawn is recommended reading for any self-respecting Stephenie Meyer fan.

Well written, great romance, lots of action...and a great ending!

The Twilight Saga books are a great read! A romantic story with a lot of adventure and action ! Readers understand that vampire and werewolves are purely fictional, of course. But most characters display truly wholesome "human values" carried throughout the book. Main characters reflect good moral and relationship values within the story. There is some violence that occurs ....some a realistic touch of how things go in the real world...but most of the main characters work to avoid violence . The romantic story is great! Love Edward and Bella. The ending is perfect!

Wonderfull ending!! And Attractive red edges

Breaking Dawn is a fitting end to the story of Bella, Edward and Jacob, and all the other characters we have come to know and love. Meyer really has a way with words, painting a scene exquisitly without boring the pants off the reader with too much detail! It is a very long book, and in fact it has three 'mini' books within, from the viewponts of Bella, Jacob, and then Bella again repectively, and yet I felt that every word was required, and I actually wanted more and more - I didn't want to let go of the story, and I read the whole book in one sitting (losing some sleep along the way too). The POW switch to Jacob is interesting, if not a tad irritating at first, because the reader gets that much more of an insight to is suffering and (in his mind) rightful hatred ... MoreBreaking Dawn is a fitting end to the story of Bella, Edward and Jacob, and all the other characters we have come to know and love. The POW switch to Jacob is interesting, if not a tad irritating at first, because the reader gets that much more of an insight to is suffering and (in his mind) rightful hatred of the 'bloodsuckers'.There are lots and lots of unexpected twists and turns in BD (perhaps a reason for some of the very harsh reactions against Breaking Dawn - it's not the book many fans expected it to be, however for me it had everything I expected and more, so surely that's a bonus?), with new plot lines and ideas, and new and old characters; in particular, I really felt that the reader comes to know the Cullen family properly, and to love them too. They have always been interesting minor characters in the previous three books (with the exception of Alice perhaps-she was always more of a major character), but in BD they all come to life beautifully. Some readers would argue that the characters change personalities in BD, Bella in particular; I would say rather that all that she has been through is finally making its mark. She goes through two life-changing events in this book, and comes out all the more stronger for it. She was always stubborn, and I found that her personality developed and sharpened, which seemed a more natural development than if she had stayed exactly the same as the Bella we all know and love in the previous three books.Other characters that undergoe a welcome development and grow from the 2 dimensional characters that they were before, are Jasper and Leah. We get an insight into both of their actions and behaviour in the previous books, and I for one found Jasper to be all the likeable instead of the cautious and slightly indifferent character we were faced with in Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. Please Be Warned!!!! although the red edges look v. appealing and they really are!!! the red will run and ruin the pages if the book gets slightly damp.so I recommend you buy this book and keep it somewhere safe!
