I purchased these as a novelty to see if they would work. I can't chew gum during work hours, but this has actually been helpful to keep my breathe smelling clean during the work day. When you swallow the small capsule, you get can taste the peppermint oil when it dissolves in your stomach. The taste can last a few hours. So this novelty item actually works. It's great to keep in my desk draw, as a back up instead of having to brush your teeth at work.
