Premium Soaked Seed Mix Soak seed mixes are designed to be easy to crack and digest for young birds, old birds and nesting birds. The other reason is its much quicker then sprouting. Soaking like sprouting takes between 5-24 hours (depending in temperature) to soften the outer seed shell with water absorption. Sprouting will take a further 12-24 hours.
