The Infuser delivers optimal espresso flavor in every cup. It pre-infuses ground coffee with low, steady water pressure before extraction, gently expanding the grinds before stepping up to high pressure. The result is a more even extraction, which produces balanced espresso flavour. Not all coffees are the same. Control the volume of each pour at the touch of a button. High power 1650W element for high pressure steam and faster heat up to create the micro-foam necessary for a third wave specialty taste and essential for creating latté art. Choose between 1 shot, 2 shots, or manual control over how much espresso ends up in your cup for the perfect dose every time.

Perfect for someone who doesn’t want to spend over $1000 on a coffee setup, but wants something significantly better than cheap models. I use this in conjunction with the Breville Smart grinder Pro. I’ve seen some complaints on here about the machine and yes I have run into some small issues, but nothing that wasn’t fixed by a deep cleaning or an easy to replace gasket. I am diligent about rinsing the group head after use, using only filtered water, and following all the recommended cleaning instructions. I also have taken apart the group head to clean the oily reside and replace the gasket when I wasn’t getting good pressure. I have had this espresso machine for over eight years, and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend this model; you will not be disappointed. To enhance the experience, I also recommend investing in a good coffee grinder. I use the Breville Smart Grinder. Love it too. Of course, you can buy these two items integrated but at the time, I could not afford that. So, I bought the machine and two years later, I bought the grinder. Overall, I would say the Infuser is more affordable than many options on the market and produce consistently a good cup of coffee - latte, cappuccino etc.

My Breville Double Boiler quit after eight years at least. This is the longest lasting by far of my now 5 machines. I was tempted to get another but counter space was an issue and the Infuser fits well and allows room for other paraphernalia. I like that it heats faster and makes an almost identical cup of espresso. I think the default heat may be set a tad higher than the 195 i chose on the DB. On the other hand the portafilter which fits tight and never leaks lines up with one spout 30 degrees to the rear which is odd. I don't make 2 cups at a time and I still could, just odd. Also the basket is smaller but deeper so as to actually create a longer pull than I ever got with the double boiler. The automatic "pull" time seems ideal to me. Bottom line it seems very dependable, consistent, makes good coffee and is easy to clean. The steamer works very well if you follow the instructions keeping the wand near the surface of the milk and creates great foam/froth. There have been no leaks. The overflow tray and water reservoir have to be attended to more ofter due to size but the design of both are improved over my old one which I loved. And the magnetically held tamper is always handy in it's spot.

Great for beginners who want to improve their skil

This product is perfect for my needs and at the perfect price point. I have been enjoying my journey of learning latte art with this machine.Steaming milk obviously takes longer with this machine than one that might cost thousands of dollars, but that's actually great for a beginner like me who wants the extra time to get things right.Until I get a separate grinder, pre ground coffee for espresso still gives me cafe results.I found that for me, 11 seconds of infusing air during milk steaming gave me the best results for latte art.The only downside is that my whole family expects me to make them coffees now...

Great home unit that will pay for itself quickly!
18 February 2023

First, I love coffee and have been learning from a barista, which is what led me to want a home unit to augment my French press. I know enough to make delicious espresso-based drinks, but am by no means an expert.Initially, I failed to produce an espresso shot with the preloaded single wall basket; it ran through with no pressure registering on the dial. After reading the manual, I decided to try the double-wall basket (despite using fresh finely ground coffee) and it hit the "sweet spot" on the first pull, which has been consistently replicated. There's an excellent amount of crema in every shot. The steamer steams and foams the milk nicely (if you want more foam, adjust the wand until you hear a "paper tearing" sound near the surface of the milk), so lattes and ... MoreFirst, I love coffee and have been learning from a barista, which is what led me to want a home unit to augment my French press. There's an excellent amount of crema in every shot. The steamer steams and foams the milk nicely (if you want more foam, adjust the wand until you hear a "paper tearing" sound near the surface of the milk), so lattes and cappuccinos should be no problem. Listen to the guide on only filling the pitcher until the "V" begins, as steaming and foaming will fill the pitcher when starting at that level (using whole milk). I only wish they included a thermometer that clips onto the pitcher to track milk temperature so you don't "ruin" good shots with lukewarm milk. I would personally recommend heating the milk first to a level where it could cool a few degrees while the shot extracts, as you don't want the shot "aging" while you're heating the milk.Optionally, get a bar spoon to hold back the foam to get the desired "milk-to-foam" ratio. I'll probably consider a knockbox, also, so I can easily remove the "ground puck" from the portafilter.I use this in morning and evening, so not sure how it would perform with a run of consecutive drinks. Most likely, my French press is going into early retirement, though.

Great little machine so far!
5 August 2024

I’ve had my Infuser for several weeks now. I’m still learning the ropes, and a long way off making a coffe shop comparable latte, but, for a complete beginner using pre ground coffee I can’t complain as the process is quite easy and fast to get a hang of. My milk frothing leaves much to be desired, and working out the correct ratio of coffee grounds to portafilter still needs work. Overall I’m very happy with my cute little espresso coffee machine and glad I made the jump from the Espressotoria pod machine and onto the real deal. Its beautiful solid built body and brushed stainless steel housing just adds to the aesthetic appeal of this little guy. Highly recommend for the inexperienced barista. ☕️

Great starter machine
23 November 2023

This is a great machine to start out on and to get the hang of it. All thought the steam wand pressure is very weak and takes a good 10-15 seconds to even start producing steam once it gets going it does get the job done. It would be difficult to learn how to steam milk with this machine because of that but if your experienced it isn’t difficult. As a barista I wanted a machine for home I could just quickly have an afternoon coffee without a lot of clean up or prep and this machine is that. Produces beautiful shots with good crema when you get the grind right. We don’t use the leveling tools provided as it doesn’t allow enough coffee in the pot to get a good pour. Nice for the current price

Heat up, milk frothing times are nice and adequate. Having PID isa huge bonus I think. However, even though it is advertised as having 9 bar OPV, It is definitely false and needs to be rectified. (in the manual, on the box and on the website it says 9 BAR OPV) Extraction pressure is too high and hence the flow is a bit turbulent. I tried plenty of beans and different grind settings, but the sweetspot is, 25-30 seconds 18grams in ~36 grams out when the gauge hits around 12-13 bar, which is too high. If I try to aim in the middle of the gauge, extraction time become like 15 seconds..OPV needs to kick in at that point no matter what and relieve the excess 3-4 bar pressure..

Not a year old, turns on and of by itself, poor customer service
13 March 2024

We had Breville for many years and the customer service was great, for that reason we kept buying the brand. I bought the infuser twice. After a few years of using the first one we had some problems and the machine needed service. We chose to buy a new one, have the other one serviced and gave it to our son. The new one started having problems from the beginning. The machine turns on and of at random times by itself. The worst part was the customer service. If we had had this experience the first time we bought we would have not bought Breville again. To bad, the machine is not even a year old and what a difference poor customer service makes.

I bought this refurbished model several years ago. Eventually, the steam wand and hot water dispenser stopped working and all steam and water only came out of the espresso basket.
