I replaced an old leaky stainless steel kettle with the Compact Kettle Clear and I am very happy with it. It is the perfect size for a small household (2 people). I love the clear glass look on the kitchen bench and it also makes it very easy to see the water level. The handle goes all the way and therefore feels very sturdy and secure in the hand when filling the kettle or pouring boiling water.One feature that I wasn’t expecting and am really happy with is that it is a lot quieter than my previous two kettles.

Best kettle I've ever owned - it's the quietest, and quickest to boil. The smaller profile means it's not too heavy when full (I've had wrist injuries so don't want to lift heavy pans). The lid opens automatically and is easy to refill. It's perfectly sized for making pots of tea, topping up a saucepan with boiling water, etc - all the daily uses. Looks great.

Bought this as wanted a compact kettle that had minimal metal as this can interfere with making kombucha. This was the closest I could come to an all-glass kettle. It boils water very quickly. In fact, at one stage I thought I had forgotten to turn it on as it was not making noise. As I went to turn it on, I could then feel that the water in it was already hot. This might not suit a large household, but it suits my needs very well indeed. The soft open lid is also a very nice feature.

I love that i am able to boil just enough water required. i only ever need 2cups of boiled water at a time. The kettle being made of glass is deceptively heavy compared to the larger aluminum ones but it is a solid build. It's worth knowing no bit of the boiling water touches any plastic element.
Superb kettle if you just need a litre at a time! I have intermittent muscle weakness in my arms and hand, the size of this kettle means it’s never too heavy for me to lift to fill or pour. I’m living alone so usually no requirement for more than a cup of boiled water at a time, so I also appreciate the power efficiency and sustainability of a smaller kettle. Literally the only problems I’ve had are: I think the power and lid buttons should be reversed, because I always need a double take, and that I wish it had cool LED lights inside it! Highly recommend!
Second little Breville kettle. First one rusted terribly on the inside base but was cleaned up weekly. Then the automatic lid opener failed after three years and it all looked old ... now that I see it next to the new one. Again rusting in first week, but still a great little kettle. I now have the Breville kettle cleaner product which does well, weekly.
We love our new Compact Kettle, it's fast and doesn't take up too much real estate on the kitchen bench. Was surprised how small it was, but it's a rocket, boils a cuppa in no time. It has all the great Breville features packed into a small kettle. Easy opening top and large enough to get a cloth in to clean it too. Also love the full handle, makes it sturdy to hold especially if filled to the max level.
Bought this cute jug for my mother who is 95 and has arthritis in both hands. She finds it a lot easier to lift this jug because it is smaller than most electric jugs. My mother also has low vision, so now she can see how much water she has because of the see-through glass compartment. I highly recommend this jug if you or someone you know has either of these health issues. Apart from this jug's functionality, I love the appearance - it's very stylish!
