Really like it, been a few months now, it does have a tendency to get milk, no matter how careful you are in the base unit, can get burned and so far no damage. I think the jug also creates condensation with cold milk so wipe the bottom immediately before you put it on to stop water damage/shorts. The milk (fc) is super frothy for capuccino and the hot choc is is very foamy and delicious! Only other thing is the whisker is magnetic so has a tendency to go wallkies in washing up, hiding by attaching itself to random metal objects. Replacement is expensive. This is a major upgrade from using the milk wand on my dedica - one large or 2 small drinks is ample for me. I could see with overuse it might perish but it suits me.

Thrilled with this little machine. It makes a lovely frothy milk to have with instant coffee or pluinger or machine. Less hassle than frothing with the coffee machine. We bought it to be able to take in our Motorhome to use with plunger coffee. Works on our generator and gives a great coffee. The milk is great with moccona coffee also.Really pleased with the purchase.

We needed a new Milk Frother to replace ours that had died. Looking for one that was larger than what we had and easier to clean. This Frother fulfilled both features we were looking for. The jug is dishwasher proof or easy to clean by hand, as it is stainless steel with no coating inside. The amount of froth it makes for a cappuccino is amazing. It does take a little longer, but that's ok, we just put it on while making the coffee. A little more expensive than what I was hoping, but given it performs so well, really happy with our purchase and would recommend to buy.

Great product (So far)
8 February 2023

I really like this milk frother/warmer so far. Easy to use and easy to clean the stainless steel cup (We had a cheaper non-stick frother previously, but the non-stick coating came off, and milk burnt to the bottom of it) Runs quietly for about two minutes then beeps and shuts off after the milk is hot and frothy. IMO worth the little bit of extra $ for the overall quality of the machine. Ask me again in a year or two if I like it, reviews, when a product is brand new, are one thing, reviews, after the warranty has expired, are another! So far so good.

I am returning this item.
28 January 2023

It's advertised at 700ml, which is more than enough for two cups. The maximum usable capacity is actually half that at 350ml, which is significantly less than two cups. At max line this frother takes four minutes so heat. If I exceed the max line to 500ml, which is two cups, it takes over TEN MINUTES to heat. The benefit of this is you could have a coffee while waiting for your coffee. This product is a joke. It is a waste of time. It is a waste of money. The stated 700ml capacity is blatant false advertising. I will be returning this product as it doesn't adequately do what I bought it to do.

after years of using either cheap 'non stick' (that became unstuck) milk fothers or the wand frother on the side of the machine this is a joy to use. No non stick coating coming off, no scorch marks by the element and no disappointing froth. This makes foamy hot choc and perfect froth for cappuccino. Easy to clean. The frother is a little cheeky, being magnetic it forms an attachment to many metal kitchen items! the burning. small people report is quite common residual chemicals in the manufacturing process and so far nothing has melted. Mine is minimal use which helps. Certainly makes my mornings a bit easier!

Makes a good hot chocolate
9 April 2023

The kids love this machine for a delicious frothy hot chocooate. My only gripe is the spike attached to the bottom of the jug that the disc sits on came off when I was washing it out with a dish washing brush. Annoying but it still worked if you put it in the disc and into the jug, that's was until it got lost down the drain. There is never any replacement jugs available on the breville website so it may be relegated to the bin. It would be a 5 star if not for the terrible spike design that easily breaks off but is essential to make the discs spin.

Over foams
13 October 2022

It doesn't make the silky, dense foam like a steam wand, it makes this airier foam that sits on top kind of like an iceberg puck. Takes a while to heat the milk. I might go off-warranty and clip a few of the legs on the magnetic disc, see if it can foam less. So far it's okay. I had a different one of the same style and the magnets were weaker and demagnetised before warranty was up, which was pretty poor, yet to find out if this will happen here too

The best milk warmer-frother that I have owned so far.
13 April 2023

Overall I am happy with this milk frother.Pros -The stainless-steel cup is easy to clean (much better than my last non-stick frother) -The magnetic drive for the frother is pure genius -The control pad is easy to use. -Heats the milk to a perfect hot temperature without burning it. -Comes with two interchangeable frothing heads, one for flat whites and hot chocolate, and another for cappuccinos and the cappuccino head makes terrific foam from full cream milk.Cons -The cup needs to be slightly taller, it has fill lines inside, but if you fill it to the maximum cappuccino line the foam always overflows (even with the lid on) and runs down and gets burnt onto the heating surface. -The lid is showing heat stress cracks already. They would benefit from having a small knob or grooves at the top to assist with gripping them.

only worked for a handful of uses
11 June 2022

bought just over a year ago, but looks like something that holds the magnet for the frother has melted, rendering the machine unable to froth milk after only a handful of uses (was bought for frothing milk when travelling, so sat in the box most of its life).Looking at other reviews here it is a known problem. Will be interested to see how Breville handles the repair/replacement as it is out of warranty, but highlights that you should use a product extensively when first bought. And check the reviews. Hopefully this is sorted for future Frothers, as when it works it is great!
