I was so torn up in which Nespresso I should buy as I had my first generation Nespresso for around 10 years and wanted something as reliable. We love our Breville Creatista Pro capsule machine. We only use Nespresso capsules in it and wouldn't use anything else. We had a delonghi latissima touch prior but could never justify the cost of the creatista pro - until it was on sale at David Jones ($846). Love that we can pour two coffees simultaneously while heating/frothing the milk. We like a larger coffee sometimes, so will use 2 or 3 capsules in a larger cup/glass/mug. Despite the Vertuo being designed for larger coffees - there was no way we'd consider a leaky Vertuo given the Creatista does large coffees and so much more.

When you take this out of the box it is compact yet very impressive machine to look at. It is quite narrow so it fits nicely on the bench.I filled the tank up with water and it also came with some nespresso pods, so you are ready to start making coffee almost straight away. It seems to heat up and be ready to go within seconds.So I have made many coffees on this machine using the inbuilt menu on the top which was easy to navigate. However I found it a bit hit and miss with the inbuilt milk frother. Sometimes it froths the milk but other times it didnt come out smooth and creamy. I purchased Creatista pro by Breville dec, 2021. After few month I noticed green algae in water tank. We cleaned it and descale the machine more than six times. If you have water left in the tank for 3 days or more it develop green Agae. I called William Sonoma and they directed to call Nespresso customer service. It was the worst service I had. She went thru everything possible. At the end Nespresso does offer warranty on parts I have to buy the water container from them. Not to mention the machine is under one year. Beware of the warranty. From now I will buy or consume Nespresso products. I was very loyal customer and this is our fifth machine. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T BUY!!!!!!!

Upon picking your desired flavoured capsule, select your type of coffee from the easy to use screen, set the water level, set the milk froth temperature and press start! The water is heated very fast! You can then also put your exact coffee requirements into the memory. Not complicated at all. We no longer use dairy milk and tried out using almond milk in the frother, even though it is advised not to in the instructions. There was no problem at all. Was looking to upgrade our Nesprosso pod machine. Had a demo of this one, and the milk frother was so much better than the one on our present machine. Loved the fact that as pods, you can personalise the coffee taste to each individual including decaf. The frother is easy to use. We love the swipe screen on the top and the ability to personalise each coffee with type, strength, and milk temperature. It has a hot water only function and we were considering not replacing our kettle and use this facility for tea. It works great for herbal, but not quite hot enough for black tea. Great looking and small footprint.

The ability to customise the amount of coffee being dispensed as well as the milk frothing level and temperature very useful. The milk jug has to be viewed in direct light to see the internal milk level markers though. As I use light milk finding the right balance of cappuccino milk froth has proven tricky. I find the Long Black option is confusing as dispensing a second capsule has to be done by reselecting the coffee submenu, which is not clearly explained anywhere on the machine. A real disappointment is the comment in the instruction manual that states that the equipment is specific for cow milk and not to be used with alternative milks. The Creatista Pro has brought back the enjoyment for me on delighting in a coffee at home. I have always enjoyed going to the local cafe and for me it wasn’t just about the coffee but rather the social experience. So with buying a machine for home, there was a bit of hesitation. In all honesty, I can say that I have no regrets. Breville have created a beautiful and easy to use machine that creates a very satisfying coffee. I actually look forward to making mine each day. I have been a loyal Breville user for numerous years and then I tried and tested other brands. After purchasing this coffee machine and receiving the complimentary matching toaster, Breville - you have won me back! The Creatista Pro is worth every cent and comes highly recommended.
