I absolutely love my new kettle. Practical, sleek and good quality. It's great that you can see the level of water inside. Love the bell that rings to tell you the water is boiled. :) I won't regret this purchase! Thanks Breville and Myer.

I bought this kettle two days ago (black truffle). It looks great, boils water quickly and efficiently, however one major negative is the bell inside the kettle switch. It's supposed to notify you when the kettle has finished boiling by going "ding!" when it flicks off - however it is very, very sensitive to vibrations. Handling the kettle to fill with water or to move it from one surface to another triggers the bell. If you gently shake the kettle, the bell will ding.If you're a fan of Breaking Bad, you can buy this kettle to give you the impression that Hector Salamanca is in the room with you.

Great kettle, looks nice and boils well.Two nitpicks though:The beeping is driving me nuts! Pick it up, it beeps, put it on the base, it beeps, press a button it beeps, reaches temp, it beeps THREE TIMES unless you pick it up fast enough (and then it beeps to let everyone know you picked it up! Ugh!)The lid seals nicely to prevent overflow, which is good, but they forgot the breather hole, so when pouring a single cup (which i do five times a day) it glugs as it comes out. One upside of the clear lid insert was all the fix took was a 2 ml drill bit, so if making single cuppas, i recommend that fix to you
