I purchased my first Wok February 15, 2011, I received a new identical Wok February 2, 2023! The only reason I required a replacement is the “non-stick” no longer existed. I enjoyed preparing many meals stir fried seafood, unique tuna fry , delicious salmon & numerous chicken dishes. The selection of fresh herbs complimented all dishes and made the wok shine.I am proud to own many Breville products- Fast Slow Pro, toaster, kettle and hand blender mini shredder. The product in general makes cooking a pleasure.I donated my old Wok! It may find a new home after 12 years in our kitchen!

I have used a variety of woks for 50years. Use at least 2 times a week. 1st time for an electric wok. I chose the Breville 5ltr due to my lack of space in kitchen. I have found good and bad points. In hindsight probably should of got the 7.5ltr for size especially due to the amount of room it has for stir frying the food. Due to wok being shallow and having a round base not a flat one is quite hard to turn everything in the 5ltr also food seems to slip up the edges quite a bit with splashing the food every where over the sides. On the good side The wok is very hot which is what you need and heats up very fast, I think better than a gas burner and you more control over heat. Also very easy to clean. Easy to use. It’s the same as on top of the stove wk but quicker and more efficient. Looks wonderful and we are so pleased to have bought it. We have a gas stove so this is saving us money and the planet energy as we have solar panels. Win win for everyone.

My rental home has an electric cooktop only which is not producing enough heat. Luckily, I bought this product from Amazon- no more soggy pasta noodles and cooking became so much faster because it heats up very quickly. The cooking surface is non-stick and can be removed from the base and placed into the dishwasher. I have never used my electric cooktop since owning this wok.
Perfect size wok. Great at maintaining the temperature and gets up to a very high heat for a stir fry. Non stick surface and very easy to clean. This is our second one after hammering the first one several times a week which lasted a few years which is why we bought the same one again. Highly recommend
I bought this nearly two years ago. Been using it ever since, so I can confirm it is very efficient and easy to clean! It heats up quickly to the set temperature setting and maintains it well. I’ve been recommending this to friends and family because it is definitely a great product.
Our previous Breville Wok element failed. This wok worked well and lasted for many years. For that reason, we replaced the failed wok with another Breville Wok.The new wok is slightly smaller and a slightly less powerful heating element. The reduced power heating element is noticeable; searing meat is not as quick.Overall the new wok is good, but not quite up to the performance of the previous model.
I was a little dubious about purchasing an electric wok because the last one I had - about 15 years ago - just did not get hot enough to sear properly. What a difference in the technology! This wok is the perfect size for our family (just two) and SO versatile! I can do the stirfries I have not been able to do for years because I don't have gas - and I can also use it to deep fry, simmer and even to make stews and curries. The base is removable so easy to wash up and keep clean, the lid fits perfectly and has a vent if you want to reduce sauces. So for the first time since moving to a house without gas I can make great stir fries again AND so much more, such as steaming perfect bbq pork buns! Very happy customer, well worth the price!
I bought the wok from Myer many years ago. It was good. When it became too old, I decided to buy the same one to replace the old one, but this time I was not too lucky: the new one had problem on its plug. It couldn't plug in all the way. After a couple times of use, I found the plug became very hot, so that the plastic of it started to melt. It was dangerous. When I went to shop for a change, there was no more stock left. I can't complain anything, but only my luck.
Purchased one about 1 year ago and the non stick coating has started bubbling and peeling off into our food, we only use silicon utensils and clean with a soft cloth. We had this same wok about 4 years ago and the exact same thing happened, which is why we brought a new one but same issue. Wont be buying from this brand again
