I brought the Breville Soft Top Duel as an interim kettle as our old kettle broke.We were all surprised at how quiet this kettle is. This is the second time we have purchased this kettle which has been great, lightweight and easy to see water level. The only reason we replaced after a few years was because it was accidentally boiled dry and went nasty on the bottom. As always fantastic service from Appliances Online.

We have had our kettle for at least 2 years. It replaced another exact same kettle. The original one still works perfectly, but the little plastic bit on the lid kept popping off after a number of years. Doesn’t effect performance but just looked a bit blah so we replaced it with the same kettle. Still have the other one and take it camping with us.Boils relatively quick. There are so many kettles with extra features that this doesn’t have, but at the end of the day, I just want to boil water for hot drinks etc. this is basic and does the job. It is a little loud which is why I gave it 4 starts and not 5. If they could quieter it a little, it would be perfect.

I've always been a huge fan of this kettle. It does it's job well! The price is great! The handle makes it quite easy to control with the pouring. It boils the water quickly. And is aesthetically pleasing in the kitchen! Would highly recommend!
Purchased this as a replacement for our 5 yr old one of same (where after 5 yrs of solid family-of-5 use the kettle to pad connection was only about 75% reliable - often needed a little wiggle to connect). Old one now happily at student flat as it's still in good safe working condition. Latest one the same: good features, looks just fine, good for price. Nothing fancy but not a fancy price either. Recommend.
1.Can see the water level through the guide on both sides of the kettle. The reason for buying a new kettle was because it was impossible to see the water level on the old onewhich was the same make & model.2. Can be filled through the spout.
Heats quickly.Water level easy to see no matter which way you have the jug facing.Only thing I miss is there's no light on it to say that it is being used.. but that is no biggie.Love the retractable cord (rather than the ones that you have to wind on).Being brushed stainless steel it does show fingerprints but I have my own way to overcome this minor issue.Overall the perfect jug. I don't miss my old jug at all.
I bought this kettle a few months ago to replace similar from Breville which we had for 20 years. It's fine except compared to the previous one it is very noisy. To the point where its not possible to be on a video call in the same area of the house if the kettle is on. We have to move it into the bathroom on such occasions. It really is that noisy which is disappointing because the old one had 'quiet boil' technology which was great.
I have an earlier model of this kettle, that the top broke on. It was not stainless steel. It was white. There was only stainless steel to choose from this time. This kettle appears to be of a much thinner material. It appears to be not as good quality as the previous one. The kettle itself works well though so I will not be replacing it till it breaks.
Stylish looking and easy to use. I love that it’s a quiet kettle compared to my previous kettle. I would appreciate if it had a light to indicate that it’s turned on though. Otherwise it’s a great kettle.
