The kettle has a elegant luxurious quality, the comfortable handle feels balance and lightweight with a solid grip and feels secure. The lid opens easily with a soft elegant opening, has a light touch control with audible alert that the water has boiled which is handy. The wide spout pours easily and looks great, the base is non slip and allows the kettle to be placed on any position 360 degrees. Highly recommend this kettle to purchase.

We really like this kettle. Its good looking with a comfortable handle. Love the side window as opposed to it being under the handle. Pours well and sits nicely in its cradle. Keeps water hot for a long time. We like the gentle 'ding' it makes when kettle has boiled! Also like the push button to open lid, very smooth. It has a long cord which can be shortened by winding it under the cradle. Would buy again!

To say I'm disappointed is probably an understatement... Looked for a long time for a kettle & Toaster for my new kitchen & thought I'd found the perfect set, Yes it was a bit pricier than I wanted to pay nearly £200!!but I liked the look of it, The kettle & toaster both sat boxed for a few months while I waited for my kitchen to be done,After using the kettle for a few days I noticed that you couldn't see the water level through any of the the viewing windows & to see what water was in the kettle I had to open the lid & look inside... So i asked what would be the point When you still couldn't see the water level??They then messaged me bk to say I could have a different colour.. I asked would they be sending me the matching toaster as I bought them as a set for a reason TO MATCH!! to be told no... So basically Ive spent £100 on a kettle that was falsely advertised.... and I'm waiting on the day my kids don't decide to open the lid to check if there's water in the kettle & burn it out, 🤷♀️ To say I won't be purchasing any sage products in the future is a given,

We were looking for a new kettle for our new home. As soon as we saw the Breville Soft Top Luxe we were immediately drawn to its elegant style, it stood out from other kettles on display and the satin black finish looks brilliant in our predominantly white kitchen. The other feature we were looking for in the kettle was quiet operation, but as we couldn't test that, we bought it on looks and perceived quality of the Breville brand. We were delighted to find, when we first used it, that it was considerably quieter than any previous electric kettle we have owned, so we are extremely happy with our new purchase.
My Breville kettle has been through so many happy times, sad times and special moments.For probably 20 years it’s been my constant go to and has never let me down, quick and efficient exactly there when I need it. Reliable and constant!Having to say goodbye was like saying goodbye to a dear old friend, so very hard to do.So without hesitation I’ve got myself a new version of my old faithful to continue with the amazing level of service I have been given by my old friend. I bought this kettle and matching toaster (silver finish) less than a year ago. I had read some reviews about the kettle lid not staying down so have been so careful with it, really careful and yet in the last week I noticed steam escaping around the perimeter of the lid. It definitely isn’t sitting flat like it used to and now steam spots the silver so even though it’s still working now I just know it’s not going to last a year. I can’t believe how gorgeous this kettle is, how cared for and yet how it has disappointed me. As for the toaster, tell me please how on earth do I keep the top clean. It’s impossible!
This is a lovely looking kettle but I’m so disappointed. It’s very heavy so by the time you add water it is difficult to lift for my older mum. It’s also really difficult to see the volume in the kettle using the viewing window. It needs a little coloured indicator in it - the background is darker so you need to hold it up at eye level to see the level of water . Which is difficult due to the weight.
Looks good, solidly built, BPA free, doesn't leak, but like others have said it's really hard to see the water level from the outside. Even if you hold the kettle to the light and look through the window it's hard to see. I've put some red tape on the outside so that when I open the lid and look in to see what the water level is, it's a little easier to see. Opening the lid is really the only way to see the water level. If the photos get posted, see in the photo without the red tape, if you can see the water level (it's just above the minimum).
I bought this along with several other Sage products a few weeks ago and I love it. I mean, it hasn’t become my new best friend or anything. Tried taking it to the pub for a drink but to be honest it’s conversation was very limited. However, it is very stylish - love the soft close top and I also enjoy the faint ‘ting’ when you place it on it’s surface and when it’s boiled. Comfortable to lift and pour too.
Outstanding product, perfect build quality, form fit and function. Worth the price and it matches my other kitchen products color wise. Highly recommended for your kettle needs. I have used breville toasters before and knew when I upgraded my kettle I needed to buy Breville this time around. I made the right decision, I'm a happy customer.
