Arrived promptly after ordering this. The listing’s description says it comes with one Maxtra filter, which was the case. The strange thing is that the box lists that it includes 3 filters (and not one). Since the listing had clearly stated 1 filter included it was fine but felt a bit uncomfortable about receiving item where the box did not match actual product. Other than that, item was great!

I have been drinking tap water all 73 years of my life. My friend made me a cup of tea with water from her BRITA Water Filter Jug. I asked if she was using a different Blend of Tea? No, the same as always. I could tell such a difference and asked for another cup, purely as a test. Same as the first. I phoned my Sister to ask if she has a BRITA? Yes, I've always used one. After tasting my tap water again, I immediately ordered a BRITA Marella Water Filter Jug and can't believe I've missed this pleasure for so many years.

First class item at the very best price. Looks very elegant on my kitchen worktop, better than a plain white jug. New flip lid is a good upgrade on previous model which got gunked up with limescale and it was difficult to clean. This model should work much better.Very quick delivery and was kept updated too. Hope to use Robert Dyas again soon. Can fully recommend.

I live in my own and the timer is just a predetermined countdown which decreases with no relation to how often you actually filter water through the jug. It's just pointless for someone like myself and is a pointless piece of tech.Having had water filters for years I'm well aware when they need changing and this just irritates me as it's so obviously just about getting you to buy more product.It's annoying to the point I'm looking at other providers now. I bought the water jug a little while ago, been pretty good but then I noticed the dial on the top, indicator for the when to replace the cartridge wouldn't work. I emailed Brita, not really sure if it could be replaced .... and they did! I got sent a replacement for the dial through the post within a week. So very happy that I didn't have to buy a whole new unit. No hassle and very helpful!!
Decently priced compared to other retailers. Have been using Britta for years. I've gone back to this model as the some of the newer ones look nicer but don't have the little flap covering the spout. Nice to see they have improved the button on the readout, so now it's nice and soft and you don't need to break your finger trying to press it. Would be nicer to get at least 2 cartridges with it though.
I've upgraded from the slim fit older model to this one. It's larger, so heavier. Wouldn't advise it for someone with hand strength issues but it does what's expected.I've taken off one star as I still find inserting the filter a faff. I follow the instructions but it still barely drips out on my first try. I have to remove, resoak and shake before I can get the water moving through at a flow.If Brita can sort that out, it'll be five stars.Water definitely tastes better than from the tap.
Bought as a replacement for similar model which had not only stained (orange, due to rotten stuff in tap water!!), but unfortunately the internal part had become fast in the outer container, so maintaining hygiene proved difficult. There is a hint of that problem recurring, possibly due to limescale build-up and the very brittle material of which the jug is made.However, I just cannot drink tap water, so the filter jug is vital for everything from making tea, to cooking veg, even watering the plants! Love the "flap opening" on top for filling, and the jug does pour well, but maybe I have to accept that these jugs have a short life.
