I bought this hat thinking I would look like a modern wizard, or perhaps a daring adventurer. Perhaps I just haven't found the right outfit to pair it with yet, or perhaps I just don't give off adventuring vibes. I dunno. Also, the leather band around started flaking almost immediately, which isn't great.

Then, I became one of those women who must keep my head/face out of the sun and the hat search began, again. I paid a fortune for a gorgeous sun hat (because it actually fit me). My sunglasses aren't an issue underneath this hat, either, which is important since I wear this hat more over my brow than on the back of my head because I'm intending to keep the sun off of my face.So...I'll say this...This hat didn't clear my bank account, did help me protect myself from the sun, does keep me feeling a bit warmer on these brisk fall days AND makes me feel like I'm doing it in a comfortable and stylish way...I'm already looking forward to a Brixton sun hat for next summer.
Hat arrived with a bent brim. David Jones packed hat into a box that was too small for hat. This hat has a cardboard type brim and once bent the hat is ruined. I visited my local store for a return. At first the assistant told me I would need to return by mail and as I purchased via PayPal was only entering a store credit, Eventually the assistant offered a refund as I highlighted that this item arrived damaged and beyond my fault (I returned item to store in the box it arrived in and on the day it arrived.
This caramel hat is much more warm, with orange/red undertones in person. I think this color would look incredible of a deeper, warmer skin tone! It simply doesn't suit my fair, pink undertones.I gave the hat four stars for the color regarding my skin tone, personally. That said, I own this hat in black, charcoal, and beige. I think its a fantastic hat, but there is an obvious presence of warm and/or cool undertones for each color of the hat. This is more present in person as the color is more vibrant in person.
A little pricey for what it is, BUT the quality is unmatched! It is sturdy and actually a little bit on the "floppy" side (the brim), rather than a flat fedora. I have a hard time finding hats that fit well, so I typically have to find ones that have velcro or are adjustable, but I ordered this in an Xsmall and it fit PERFECTLY! Purchased it for a wedding and outdoor graduations and I am so excited that this will be my go-to for so much more without having to worry about a little breeze making it fly off or flop around. The brown/taupe color is a perfect neutral color. WORTH IT - JUST BUY IT!
I always like Brixton hats, but this one was disappointing. The color is called “Brass” and in the picture, on line, it looks like a rich caramel color, which is exactly what I wanted. When it arrived I was shocked that it was a drab olive green!The hat is well made, fit perfectly and the exactly what I wanted…so sad I had to return it.
I purchased this hat as a transition piece for early spring. We headed out to Napa and it was perfect for cool chilly mornings and windy afternoons. I have a small head, so being able to purchase a small is necessary. I received so many compliments on this hat!
This Brixton hat I ordered was to large at XL BUT I then ordered the L it was perfection!! It is also so comfortable, In the store they didn't have L available in the women's section but on line they did! I wear a lot of hair add ons AND what is so cool as when I don't wear my add ons the Brixton hat can be tightened underneath. a fantastic feature! The soft wool felt is a great comfortable feel I am now the newest and biggest fan of Brixton Hats Rest assured I'll be purchasing more of this brand for winter and next upcoming spring.
