Adrenaline GTS21. Great shoe for all fitness activities

I am also having an issue with the left ankle side rail support. It digs in to my foot just below my ankle bone. I have been cushioning with cotton pads hoping it stretches out. I don’t know if this is common or if somehow a defect in this one pair. I have considered returning them for replacement. The right foot side rails do not dig in. If anyone else has had this issue and knows of a fix, I would like to know. I welcome a response from Brooks as well. Because of these issues, I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars

These are comfortable with plenty of toe space: I order 9 wides. The Guiderails seem comfortable and not noticeable as in some older models. There isn't anything inside the shoe that is bothersome. I ordered white and am trying to keep them clean! haha. And I do love the side decoration. I'd prefer a medium blue, but I don't see that color in wides unfortunately. I run at least mile a day outside in these Adrenalines plus I use them for walking as well. So I put well over 400 miles on a pair. I do replace the insole after 6 months. Excellent shoe for Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction

Excellent walking shoe.
2 March 2023

Each style has its merits and is drawbacks. This is an excellent shoe for stability and cushion. I do not like its round tubular laces, which twist and twist becoming unsightly. The sole projects slightly beyond the shoe upper providing a larger footprint than, say, the Ghost. This shoe is excellent for people going to be on their feet all day or for travelling where one only takes a very limited number of shoes. Excellent walking shoe.

Great Support! Helps reduce pain and discomfort caused by plantar fasciitis
28 January 2021

Due to my plantar fasciitis, it's difficult for me to find shoes that I can wear comfortably and that don't cause me considerable pain. I discovered the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 19 a couple of years ago, and found them to be very supportive and comfortable. But, of course, they were discontinued. My husband was able to track down a few pair in my size, on-line that helped me get through to the end of 2020. But then there were none. Again, my husband reached out to Brooks, who recommended the GTS 21. I was very nervous, but ordered a pair. To my delight and relief, they are GREAT! The GTS 21's have exceeded the comfort and support of the GTS 19's! I see more GTS 21's, and possible future iterations, in my future. If you're trouble with plantar fasciitis, you may wish to try these out!

New model is wayyyy too cushioned
30 December 2020

My journey to find a replacement for the Adrenaline GTS 19 turned into a 2 month ordeal. Brooks revamped most of their key shoe models in the past year, so I ended up trying out 4 pairs of shoes before I found one that fit. This new Adrenaline is nothing like the previous models and was swiftly returned after 2 runs. You’ll feel like your feet are wearing inner tubs, tug boats, life rafts, balloons...you get the picture. The soft cushion throughout the entire mid-sole is a fiasco for getting up and off the ground, let alone the hills of San Francisco. One of the most sluggish runs I’ve ever had in a Brooks shoe. These shoes also run extremely big and wide, I’m normally a size 8 in Brooks and in this model, but I was swimming in the shoe the whole time and couldn’t ... MoreMy journey to find a replacement for the Adrenaline GTS 19 turned into a 2 month ordeal. When I came home, I didn’t even have to unlace them to quickly pop off.The colors are stylish at least, unlike last models. And the overall shoe is good looking for a support running shoe. I wish they hadn’t changed the model so drastically though. If you’re looking for a similar feel to the older Adrenaline models, I’ve found the new Ghost 13 is pretty darn close.

Not Just for Running

To be honest: I’m not a runner. But this is my fifth pair of Brooks. I bought my first pair on the recommendation of a very knowledgeable sales person. I’d suffered a bout of plantar facsciitis and had already spent considerable money on shoes that ultimately did not provide much relief. Running shoes were recommended over walking shoes because they were constructed with extra cushioning to absorb high impact & therefore also eased my discomfort in merely walking. I’ve been sold ever since. The Adrenalin is most like my first pair (Glycerin). In addition to cushioning my feet, the shoes hold my feet securely in place - almost feels like they’re being hugged. Not like they use to make shoes!
15 April 2021

I bought the light purple in color shoes, in size 10. I am flat-footed and pronate when I walk so using the right shoe is important for my workouts. I tried them out for 2 weeks with daily jogs and Crossfit training and these shoes were horrible. My feet began to hurt and I felt the pain on the outer toes. Not to mention, walking in Texas heat and my feet were "heated". They initially felt comfortable when I tried them on at the store but once I wore them outside in the elements, they did not hold up! They felt like they lacked cushion support and the insoles were thin. I added my thick orthotics insoles and they still didn't make a difference. Wish I could say they were great for the money I spent but they were not and returned them back. I had always used Brooks ... MoreI bought the light purple in color shoes, in size 10. Soft Cushiony Shoe

I was a longtime Saucony Hurricanes wearer until they changed the model and I switched over to Asics Kayano. Due to COVID-19, I started running outdoors this year rather than on a treadmill, which emphasized a need for a good shoe since I severely over pronate. I typically run 10-12 miles 3-4 times per week so I need a sturdy, yet cushioned shoe for my runs. I recently been having some ball of foot pain and so I got the Adrenaline GTS 21 as many reviews mentioned that they were great for this type of pain. When compared to both the Hurricane and Kayano's these are ridiculously lightweight and are easily 40% lighter. As my foot and the shoe warmed up, these issues seemed to resolve themselves, but after running 2 miles, it felt like my toes were stuck in melting butter. The cushioning, that I initially thought was great, felt squishy/mushy the longer I ran which forced me to cut my run in half as the pain and impact of the ground became unbearable. Unfortunately these didn't work for me as a running shoe. but I am still keeping them as they a gorgeous design and I can still use them for walking. Overall I think these shoes would be great for those who do not have such a severe over pronation issue and tend to go for shorter runs.

Super comfortable, not super durable
21 March 2021

Loved these shoes! They are super cushioned and very comfy for walks/runs. I use them everyday to walk 2 miles to work and 2 miles home. (I live in a city) however, at the 3 month point the backs of the sneaker, the part that rubs against my ankle/Achilles started to wear down and rip and now there is not any cushion there and it’s painful to walk bc something sharp and thin rubs against it. I really wanted to love these forever. I’m disappointed that they wore down so quickly from my daily walks. I didn’t even get to use them for running. I ended up buying a different sneaker from elsewhere as I am nervous another pair from brooks will just break down again.
