These are the most comfortable style of Brooks I have. It is like walking on a cloud. So worth the extra money. I wear these at work all day and they are my new favorite. I am on my feet for 9 hrs a day at the hospital and these never let me down. I get so many compliments on the style. People can't believe they are Brooks.

I had high hopes for these, and for the first run (11 miles) they were pretty good. Midsole was protective and responsive, upper was warm (which it was 35-40 degrees out, so this was nice), I had to re-tie laces once, but overall I was pretty happy with them. Thought they would make a good long run shoe for winter. Then I did a 14 mile run in them, and found the upper around my metatarsals to be too tight and I got a blister on each foot. It’s kinda weird, because I have a pretty narrow foot. And the laces continued to be an issue, so I had to return them. Gotta find a better long run shoe.

I've tried quite a few shoes in recent months for 100k to 100 mile distances. The Caldera 6 is the absolute winner. You can cruise for many kms in them and have no foot pain afterwards. Whilst the stack is very high, I don't find them any more unstable than shoes like the Speedgoat. The upper is simple but effective. They also drain well after going through water. The best feature is its outsole rubber which is extremely grippy on smooth wet rocks and slabs, unlike the awful grip on the Saucony Xodus Ultra.

I really like this shoe as the sole gives great grip and comfort and doesn't feel like a heavy shoe. I have used on MTB trails in flat twisty muddy forests, rugged steep rocky hill trails and limestone trails ranging in pace. I'd loved to see a stealth fit version as currently struggling with big toes blisters from what i assume is the protective toe box
I haven't run in this shoe, and probably won't due to the stack height, but I used them for a 200+ mile backpacking trip along the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada mountains. They felt amazing! Very comfortable and the traction was very good. Shoes are still in great shape, except for the collar which is getting a little worn. Still have many miles left in them. Thanks Brooks and RR Sports!
What an awesome shoe. I have the Caldera 4 and Caldera 5. The Caldera 6 is next level. Brooks have stepped up the comfort and the cushioning. The DNA Loft V3 is really squishy and bounces over roots and rocks with ease. Highly recommended trail shoe. I run on road and trails in these and they perform exceptionally. I have a size US12 foot and these fit true to size. Not too narrow feel just right. Great lock down too!
After MONTHS of trying to find the right trail shoe, I have found trail shoe Nirvana with the Brooks Caldera 6. I had used the Caldera 4 and loved the fit, but there was not enough cushion. The Caldera 5 was terrible, so I really had to debate whether to try the Caldera 6. I am so glad I did! I have wide forefeet and a bunion, but the men's 91/2 size fit perfectly, gave me plenty of room in the toebox, and an excellent overall fit. I love wearing them for both trails and road, walking or running. Previously I had used the Hoka Stinson (lots of cushion, but felt like I was running in sand) and the Hoka Speedgoat (shallow toebox and too firm).I have a medium arch and these were great. Just enough stability, comfy cushion without overdoing it, and just overall bliss! ... MoreAfter MONTHS of trying to find the right trail shoe, I have found trail shoe Nirvana with the Brooks Caldera 6. Now please make a road shoe with similar dimensions, okay??
Never had Brooks before and heard lots of good things so decided to have a shot at them and looked at reviews for trail comfy option. Received them and tried for size but they just feel too wide for my narrow feet so have sent them back. Looked nice and solid as well as felt comfy however I think they are designed for a heavy runner as felt little firm. I am quite light so can't fault them too much. Have got Hoka Speedgoat 5 instead and they fit great.
The shoes are very comfortable and provide max cushion as I anticipated. I primarily use the shoes for trail running and the tread has held up well thus far. I the past I have had issues with trail running shoes (too firm, tread separation). I run approximately 35 miles per week and these are still performing well.
I was excited to receive my third pair of Calderas. I ran on the 2's and the 4's. I also ordered the 5's, but had to return them, as they were far too narrow, and Brooks reduced the toe box and sole width. The 6's were the same. For some reason, Brooks has notably reduced the toe box, making them very narrow and tight. This is the D width, the same that I ordered with the 2's and 4's...which were my first and favorite trail runners. Being narrow in front simply reduces the feel of stability and makes my foot strikes feel off. I put the soles from the 4's up against the 5's and 6's, at there is a substantial reduction in sole material in the 5's and 6's. The sole itself is still very grippy though. They also increased the drop of the shoe from 4mm to 6mm.That may not ... MoreI was excited to receive my third pair of Calderas. I ran on the 2's and the 4's. They also increased the drop of the shoe from 4mm to 6mm.That may not sound like much, but there is a noticeable difference in feel, making me feel more pushed forward, especially when running down hill. This resulted in knee pain after only running on them twice. Pain which has gone away since running on my old Caldera 4's. This is my fault for not researching the specs before ordering online. So, I've reluctantly had to try something different, the Hoka Speedgoat...we will see how that goes. The huge plus here is the 90 day satisfaction guarantee offered by Brooks. I was able to return the runners, no questions asked...so, although I was disappointed with the changes of the shoe, I can't complain with a strong return policy like Brooks has.
