Our family are proponents of RR Sports for many years. In the past five years (+ -) we have enjoyed the Brooks shoes. Family members wear the Glycerin, Beast, and the walking shoe Addiction models. We wear the shoes for walking: comfort, and cushioning. We continue to purchase the same model, after years with the Nimbus model with Asics. I am not a tester of different shoes, and remain loyal to one brand until the greater need for change. My Glycerin 14 wore out from the years of good use. I had the opportunity to purchase the # 18 model, and decided to go with the latest, the # 19 model. My concerns were the inserts, and also what I believe is a less cushioned feel. I believe it is unfair to need to purchase inserts for a shoe costing over one hundred dollars. I ... MoreOur family are proponents of RR Sports for many years. I did make a purchase locally for a gel insert which is addressing the cushioning, and the overall feel of the shoe. I believe there is a difference that shows my satisfaction with the # 14 model. I will learn, and pray the # 19 will be loyal to me.I would like to suggest that RR Sports communicates with the shoe manufacturers to place better inserts in their shoes. Thank you, and Peace and Good Health for all. Respectfully, Louis Cohen

Moved to this shoe from the Glycerin 18. Chalk and cheese better than the 18. Far softer and better on transition. The 18's didn't feel soft at all and felt like a dead shoe. Really comfortable, however my 18's were half a size too big, so I went half a size smaller on the 19's. Unfortunately the 19's are now half a size too small. This combined with the smaller toe box size has resulted in a burning/rubbing sensation on the balls of my feet after about 4-5km. So whilst I quite like the shoe, be careful on sizing.Overall note: really wish Brooks would bring more modern colours to the glycerin shoe line, there is normally only one modern choice of colour.

I did a lot of research into running shoes. In the end I decided there was no need to spend a crazy amount and that I likely wouldn't even notice all the subtle differences in shoes that you read about. So I went with the Glycerin 19, which is a couple of models old now but had great reviews and heaps cheaper. My last shoe was the Glycerin 18 which last for a very long time without breaking apart. So I had faith in the 19s longevity.

The cushioning in these shoes for the price is awesome. Very spongy in the heel, which I like… and a nice wide shoe for keeps bf your toes in a more natural position. I’m a teacher for work and they’re great to spend the day in. I also wear them running on trails and on the basketball court. I’ve bought 3 pairs now. Such good value, especially when on sale. Be careful if you’re heavy on your forefoot… I have punctured the fabric with my big toe. The sole stays in tact better than ASICS shoes do these days. I wear these heavily and think they’d last a general wearer at least 18 months. You can’t go wrong.
I purchased Glycerin 19s in 2022 after years of experience with Brooks Transcend and to a lesser extent Brooks Adrenalins. my reason for switching to Glycerin was that I could no longer easily access Transcends in my 12.5 size or at all. Using older Transcends and a new pair of Adrenalins, I read about the qualities of Glycerins and decided to give them a try. I bought online in an acceptable colour, got my size and am absolutely happy with them. I am an advanced aged runner of up to 10k; I have tried many shoes across the range from New Balance, Aspics and Hoka but in recent years have stuck with Brooks. I wouldn't be running at 83 if I had not had superb foot protection and cushioning. The Glycerins have a cushioning effect under the ball of the foot better than I ... MoreI purchased Glycerin 19s in 2022 after years of experience with Brooks Transcend and to a lesser extent Brooks Adrenalins. my reason for switching to Glycerin was that I could no longer easily access Transcends in my 12.5 size or at all. I wouldn't be running at 83 if I had not had superb foot protection and cushioning. The Glycerins have a cushioning effect under the ball of the foot better than I have experienced in nay other running shoe; for me they were an ideal fit, I ran a 10k in them without bothering to "wear them in". No ill effects; I ran another 10 k yesterday and pulled up without any adverse effect. All Brooks shoes that I have had wear well but for extra caution and hopefully for my own running longevity, I tend to refresh mine after about 6 months.I am unlikely to feel a need to switch from Glycerin; for me, there is a qualitative improvement above what I have been used to.
Great cushioning for long runs and supporting the knees. Have run many half marathons in these shoes and training for a full. Was recommended size 25.5 cm with D-width based on my foot scan but found the fit better at 26 cm because of all the cushioning around the shoe. Even with a wider size, the shoe was still a bit narrow in the front. Moulded/softened overtime though as the front of the shoe is a soft fabric design with no leathery frame.Have found that the shoes are extremely water absorbent. If it's raining or there are puddles on the ground, the shoes absorbs the water a fair bit and feels like a wet towel, so can weigh down your feet a bit. It also takes decent amount of time to dry afterwards.Have also read online that glycerins are great walking shoes ... MoreGreat cushioning for long runs and supporting the knees. It's comfortable but my feet do still get sore and I've found memory foam shoes from sketchers to be more comfortable in that aspect.Great pair of shoes for longer runs, but hoping to find something with a better fit. However, until then, these are my go to pairs.
I've been running for years, and the Brooks Glycerin 19 running shoes are the best I've ever worn. From the moment I slipped them on, I felt the plush comfort and exceptional support they offer. The DNA LOFT cushioning provides a soft yet responsive ride, perfect for long distances. The fit is snug without being too tight, and the seamless upper prevents any irritation or blisters. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, the Glycerin 19 is a game-changer. Highly recommend!
After 36 years of existence and many other shoe brands in that time I bought my first pair of Brooks earlier this year at the recommendation of my Podiatrist, and wow these are comfy. I have an auto-immune disease and often experience calf and feet pain working in my feet 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Since buying the Glycerin 19's I have to say my foot pain is barely existent. The neutral cushioning is amazing, resets my feet at the perfect position. I also use these daily on a forest walk / stair climb and they definitely perform. Thanks Brooks for making an incredible pair of shoes, will be back for more.
Extremely happy with my Brooks shoes. I’ve been an ASICS guy for many years but I just couldn’t justify the price that was being commanded. I decided to check out Brooks, from their website and not only did they have my size, the shoes were a bargain!! Upon receipt of the shoes, I immediately noticed how much lighter they were compared to my previous shoe. Light and airy. I will certainly be looking at the Brooks website for my next show.
I really like these shoes, actually I love them, I've had Glycerin 16/17/18 and now 19. The Glycerin 18's were a dud in my opinion, they were dead shoes, didn't absorb much and terrible on transition. The 19's are so much better. Far softer and better through transition. Honestly I didn't know what transition was until I got the 19's.That being said, I had size 10.5 Glycerin 18's which were half a size too big, So bought size 10 Glycerin 19's. Now they are 0.5 too small and i'm getting hot spots on the balls of my feet as they are too small. So get them fitted or ensure you get the right size.Overall a great shoe once you get the sizing right.
