A great shoe, but maybe not so much for walking?

So, maybe they’re not broken in yet, but I was told the Glycerin GTS is basically the Adrenaline with extra padding. I have to disagree. Mine have a very odd pressure that concentrates from just in front of my arch all the way to the end of my foot.I also own Adrenaline 21s, Ghost 14, Ghost 15, and Trace 2…none of those needed breaking in, or have that strange pressure. Yes, they’re nice and cushiony. Bit after wearing them for about 3 1/2 miles this weekend, my feet were hurting ☹️I haven’t been running because of knee issues, but maybe the mechanics of the shoe are more favorable for running, not sure. Beautiful shoes, and well padded, but not super comfortable for my size 8 wide foot.

I purchased these shoes based on a recommendation from a local running shoe shop. I have been having issues with my arches, sides of my feet, and knee pain.I was fitted at the specialty store and it turns out my feet are a size bigger than they used to be! I have always been a true 8. At the age of 37, I am now just under a 9.The specialty store said that your shoes should feel like a slipper. It took a little getting used to, but I think my feet were in really bad shape after doing too many hit classes that involved weight training. They did not emphasize proper form or adequate rest periods in between sets and workouts. However, I am now able to go on long walks, do some basic exercises, and enjoy wearing sneakers again! My only complaint is the price point. ... MoreI purchased these shoes based on a recommendation from a local running shoe shop. The manufacturer dictates what prices can be charged by all of their distributors. I ended up ordering them through dicks because I had a $10 off coupon and received free shipping. I highly recommend going to a local running store to find out your true size and what will work the best for Your goals. I will purchase more brooks running shoes, only when there are sales and I have a coupon lol.As a warning, these shoes are great, but will take some time to feel amazing if you are having pain issues. Nothing is a miracle worker, focusing on recovery is number one. But once you get back into the groove, these are really doing the trick.

I'm thankful Brooks finally offered a different color in the GTS. I want the cushioning and the stability, but give us something besides white, black or gray. Us GTS folks like fun colors too! Love that these are a bit lightweight and less bulky -- good for summer. I'd give it 5 stars except one small thing. The little tab on the back of my right shoe is extremely SCRATCHY! Almost to distraction on the back of my ankle when wearing with no show socks. Also, concerned how long the very thin laces will hold up. Overall, extremely happy with these shoes!

Amazing Shoes - BUT Dick's sells USED shoes when ordering online, BEWARE.
10 April 2023

Okay, I am sorry but I never knew Dick's ships products from their stores versus a warehouse when ordering online. With that being said, I received used shoes! I was so excited but when they arrived and I opened the box, they were VERY used. Dirt on the bottom and sides of soles, squished/indented sole foam, and internal soles had yucky lint inside. I mean it looked like people walked a good mile in these. Attached photos are straight from the box.... enough said. I was expecting brand new shoes for what I paid, this is a first for me when ordering online from anywhere and I've bought A LOT of running shoes online. I love this store, but my shoe needs when ordering online will go elsewhere!!!!!!

Cushioning is amazing but weird jab on toe
8 April 2023

Ok so these shoes are truly the best in terms of cushioning. They are super comfortable when I am just standing and not walking. HOWEVER, the big issue is that when I walk and put pressure on my toes, a part of the shoebox becomes concave and jabs my toe. I read a similar review on this shoe but didn't understand the review and decided to buy the shoes anyway. Now I understand. A part of the shoebox literally folds inward as you lift your heel and apply pressure near the toes and it hits my toes making it painful. It's really too bad as I love the style and colour. I'm really dissapointed.

Most comfortable and less jerky shoes for the flat
26 March 2023

I was looking for good training shoes after a recent lower back and left leg injury. I have a flat foot with a high arch, and I seem to apply more pressure on my forefoot. I tried a couple of shoes (Saukaney formfit, Mizuno waverider 26, Mizuno inspire 19 and Hoka arahi 6) were unsuitable for my condition. They hurt my back more, or I experienced arch and forefoot pain within minutes of walking. Apparently, I needed a less bouncy neutral shoe with more cushioning at the forefoot. Thanks to all the friendly and helpful staff at the Glen and Chadstone, I finally found the Brooks Glycerin 20 to be the ideal shoes.

My favorite shoe to date
5 April 2023

These are my new favorites! I upgraded from a pair of Glycerins to the Stealthfit GTS 20 and was not disappointed. I use my shoes for everything from treadmill runs to lifting, everyday wear and running around the hospital for work. These have been so great so far, even outdoor running and hiking--they keep up! The Stealthfit is unique and something to get used to, but I like the slimmer profile, they look nice with joggers and leggings. The GTS helps keep my stride straight and true, making my running/walking more effective and causing less strain. These will definitely not be my last pair!

My happy feet
5 January 2023

I bought my brooks glycerin 20 shoes 5 days ago and i wish someone would have told me about them 2 years ago. I walk 20 to 32 miles a week at work on concrete floors and do 8 hour days at a time. My feet and right knee were killing me. I can already tell that these shoes will be the only shoes i will ever buy. I love them! I love the wide feature that fit my caveman feet. Lots of toe room since my former shoes gave me soft corns and squeezed my feet till i would prefer to crawl than walk. The choice of how to lace up around the ankle is genius since 1 of my ankles is smaller than the other. I wanted to wear them to bed and never take them off!! Try them and you'll love them. The most expensive shoes i've ever bought. Worth every penny!!!

I'm a new Brooks customer. I've found Brooks terribly ugly in the past, to be brutally honest. No one can match the warranty and trial period, however. This really is a runner's brand. However, I am very much wishing for some more sleek and cool looking designs.... Again, very honestly here, but most Brooks I've seen have been kind of a mom / grandma look, with weird bright colors and just kind of out of date design. Usually I'd go with another more hip brand, but... I needed some more 'pro' grade running shoes for actual running. I've had a lot of foot pain lately, and these glycerins have made the cut but there are some ways these could be improved... The sole is very wide and grandma stability shoe looking. I've had a lot of foot pain lately, and these glycerins have made the cut but there are some ways these could be improved... The sole is very wide and grandma stability shoe looking. Although they are light, they don't feel so when running (I feel like an elephant running in them). I kept them because the color combo was acceptable, and the cushion really helped my foot & heel pain, but... I wish the sole was more narrow and sleek (kinda like the Levitate style), also wishing these had a more "spring" in them (also like the Levitate kind). I know that's a very tall order - a hip, sleek shoe, that looks modern and neutral, goes with anything (but doesn't look masculine in just black), has cushion to help foot pain, stability (arch support), and yet is springy and has bounce to help with stride and sole that's slimming and not super wide. I'm hoping someone designs something else cool and cute next time I need a pair. ;) For now, these will do, they're helping. I'm officially, but somewhat reluctantly still, a Brooks customer. Looking forward to some hopefully improved designs in the future. :)PS. Also quick note - these are not super good for training indoors (gym type workouts with side to side motion like classes). They are a great running shoe (forward motion), but when I tried them with workout videos indoors (intense, hiit workouts), I felt like I was going to turn my ankle in them (too wide of a sole with stretchy upper that didn't hold my foot in well enough for side to side jumps and fast squats)

Wanted to love
22 September 2022

When I first put these on, I was very happy. I loved the Stealth fit. I have been wearing the same style of Asics for years that work for me, but the tongue of the shoe really bothers my ankles and I am constantly readjusting. I was really happy with the Steath fit and how it felt on my ankle. It was a little cramped in the toe box but overall good. I tried a size up but that was too loose in the back. I even ran a 10k in the shoes. However, towards the end I started feeling something hard pushing on the inside part of one of my feet/ankle. It was to the point where I could not wear again the next time I ran. I really wish these had worked because I do love the stealth fit. Unfortunately, I had to return.
