Brooksrsquo softest cushioning meets its reliable stability in the men's Glycerin 19 GTS. Designers gave the Glycerin a bed of DNA Loft foam to cushion your steps. The foam is the softest one in Brooksrsquo lineup, which guarantees the plush feeling you crave for your everyday miles. An engineered mesh upper provides breathable support and maintains a light weight, while a blown rubber outsole increases the Glycerinrsquos durability and traction on pavement. The defining feature of the Glycerin 19 GTS, though, is Brooksrsquo GuideRails technology. The subtle stability feature helps keep your body in its natural motion path and reduces excess movement to keep you running smoothly. In the Brooks Glycerin 19 GTS review, Fleet Feet runners said the DNA Loft foam delivers a soft, engaging ride, while the GuideRails are there when you need them but disappear when you donrsquot. For the softest, most stable ride, look no further than the men's Brooks Glycerin 19 GTS. Love the cushion but donrsquot need GuideRails See the neutral men's Brooks Glycerin 19.

I am writing this review with having logged 100 miles on my first ever Brooks Glycerin GTS shoes. I made the switch after running exclusively on Asics Gel Kayano's for the last 5 years. The new Asic Gel Kayano 28 however just felt like an entirely different shoe to me and forced me to look elsewhere. Upon recommendation I tried the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19 and I don't think I will ever go back to Asics. 100 miles in they look and feel brand new in which they were absolutely perfect straight out of the box. For years I had been suffering from pain in my left calf muscle and left hips. My primary care physician sent me to a brain/nerve doctor to determine if some nerves in my spine were pinched, causing pain to radiate downwards. The brain doctor found nothing that would support that theory. When my grand daughter in the Army came to visit me in January of 2022, I told her about my hips and calf muscle issues. Intensive examination by one of the store personnel revealed that I was flat footed, which was the culprit of my hips and calf muscle problem and the shoes I had been wearing, whether sports or dressed, did not have the right support for a flat foot. I was advised to wear Brooks Glycerine GTS 19, which was designed for flatties. I have been wearing it since that day at the store and I have had no pain at all since then. Thanks to my grand daughter, to Road Runner Sports, and to Brooks. Praise the Lord.

I walk a minimum of 30 miles per week with my wife, and have done so consistently for the last two years. I have also been dealing with strong case of plantar fasciitis during most of that time. Every Sunday, after our 10-15 mile walk, I come home with significant pain on the bottom of my foot, which never really dissipates. After about 18 months of nagging pain, I decided to try the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19 based on a recommendation from a friend. Wow, what a difference!! My pain is gone!! For nearly two years I have dealt with that pain, figured it was just part of the process with the amount of mileage we cover. I was wrong. NOEL MCGAUGHEYThu, May 13, 10:27 PM (10 days ago)to BrooksI got the shoes. I've made them really better. I added a set of jel-fill inserts that I bought at the grocery store. They really give them the additional spring that they needed.Next you still have way too many lace holes that makes the shoes impossible to get on. I relaced the shoes using only every other hole. Works great!!!!!Next they really need the finger loop at the back to get the shoe on properly or strengthen the back so it doesn't collapse inside the shoe when you try to put them on.So far they are with the above mods better than the last pair so evidently you did make some internal improvements. so that they "bounce" when you walk, which in my opinion is what they should do, when you ... MoreNOEL MCGAUGHEYThu, May 13, 10:27 PM (10 days ago)to BrooksI got the shoes. After wearing the new Brooks Glycerin 19 I think they may be on to something with the guiderail technology vs medial posting to try and control motion and yes I know that these are not a motion control shoe so to speak. I have a solid background in biomechanics as a foot and ankle surgeon. I typically lean towards a more motion control shoe based on some pronation and weighing 220 lbs. Even though these shoes are categorized as a cushioning shoe for the neutral to higher arched foot they provided what I need albeit only for 3-4 weeks of testing. The ride is plush and feels good on the feet from heel strike to toe off. If you have a neutral to high arched foot the guiderails will not hinder your run/walk. I received these shoes free of charge in exchange for an honest opinion and with that said what I detailed above is honest.
Honestly, not a runner but been using it for long distance walking or short runs on road paths. Shoes is very snug fitting for a size 7.5 as my normal shoe size is a 7. Had to change my socks for a thinner fabric before wearing as shoe would be Super tight fitting. I did take notice when I first purchase the 7.5 it felt great wearing but over the course of 5 months notice my toe nail on Left & right foot were turning color (slight purple). Plus, on Left foot the (ball) of foot severe pain possibly due to snug fitting shoe.Stopped wearing and switched to the size 8. Shoe feels much roomy, feet feels comfortable. Toe nails are bruised after wearing the size 7.5 for 5-6 months and Left foot (ball) of feet still very painful. I am 6'3", 200lbs and prefer a stability shoe. I am 56yo and run 15-20 miles per week unless I am training for something longer than a 1/2 marathon in which case I will typically add a long run to those totals.I have mostly run in Brooks Beasts for the last 18 years. However, I have recently been interested in a more cushioned shoe to reduce the impact on my aging knees, feet, and ankles. I have gone through two pairs of Hoka Bondis and one pair of Cliftons. I liked them, but ultimately found them too cushy (seems to rob me of some power and responsiveness) and insufficiently stable for a runner my size. After reading some reviews, I bought the Glycerin GTS with the hope that it would be a better balance of Cush, stability, and responsiveness. After reading some reviews, I bought the Glycerin GTS with the hope that it would be a better balance of Cush, stability, and responsiveness. Now that I have several runs in with them, I can say that they are an excellent balance of those characteristics. Every bit as stable and responsive as the Beasts, but with noticeably more cushion. Highly recommend if those are the traits you prefer.FWIW, I am not down on Hokas. My trail shoes are the Speedgoat and they are terrific. Much much more responsive that the Bondi or Clifton but with good cushion and terrific traction on rocky trails.
I love this shoe! I am in my mid 50's, slightly overweight and have lived with hip issues my entire life. Currently I'm walking on a new hip with another on the way, so when it comes to shoes, quality and support are very important to me. My hip issues tend to cause me to supinate as I do not have proper rotation and extension, however the Glycerin GTS gives me the support I need and to me is like wearing a pair of slippers; lightweight, all comfy and cosy without being too squishy. People sometimes say that after they wear the shoe for a while they start to roll towards the outside at the fore foot, what I find when I get to that point is the shoes are in need of replacement, they have done their job, still look great, but support system has reached it's limit. ... MoreI love this shoe! What I do not love is that it has taken forever for the Glycerin GTS 20 to fiiinnnaaalllyyy become available. What I dislike even more is how this shoe, (glycerin GTS 19) which was hopelessly out of stock, suddenly became available again when the new model rolled out! Really bad business guys. I will try the 20 before long but since I love this shoe, know how it fits and what to expect, why not take advantage of the great sale price. I depend on quality shoes to keep me upright and moving forward, this shoe has the fit and finish perfect for me... unfortunately availability and information on any of the Glycerin shoes were sketchy to non-existent even dealing directly with Brooks.
Ended up returning this shoes due to an imperfection on the right side toe box. There was a high spot on the right shoe which I noticed when I initially tried on the shoes for the first time. Didn’t think it would bother me so I put on about 15 miles on it. It seems to be more noticeable while walking rather than running in them. Decided that no break in period was going to solve this issue. Ended up purchasing this exact shoes from a local dealer near me making sure both feet felt fine. Now, the shoes are extremely comfortable perfect for recovery days, easy days and longer miles too. My only minor issue would be the laces not being stretchy enough. Got used to my Adrenaline 20 GTS laces which is perfect! I only run a little over 16 miles a week in 5.25 mile increments. My last pair of Glycerins were the best running shoes I've had in the 18 years that I've been running. They started out a little firm and w/in the first 15 miles broke-in to be perfect combination of fit and firmness. I logged more miles w/them than any other running shoe I've tried.Unfortunately, the Glycerin GTS 19 proved to be the opposite. On my first run the soles seemed soft and by the third run, they'd softened up to the point the balls of my feet felt like they had no cushioning under them and my lower back was becoming sore. These shoes just aren't firm enough. Fortunately, I also have a pair of Hokas that are working well for me. Oddly, I purchased the Hokas to rotate w/the Brooks and now the Brooks have been relegated to walking duty. That said, the Brooks have a great fit just are not firm enough. I'll chalk it up to poor "fitting" choice. I'm currently looking for another pair of Brooks to put back in the rotation.
