I was happy to pay $99 v $165 for what is essentially the same shoe. I liked the first pair so much I turned around and bought a 2nd pair na different color! I absolutely can recommend this shoe!

BIG guy - Best shoes I have ever had on my feet!

I love my Glycerin GTS 20. I am a BIG guy. I was over 400 pounds when I got my first nice pair of shoes. I knew I was going to go through them fast and that was worrisome when you are talking these kind of prices. But I was steered towards these shoes, went in to a local store to try them on and fell in love with them. After about 70 miles, I was starting to get concerned that they were wearing kinda fast. I contacted customer support with pictures and they agreed with my hypothesis of my weight being a factor in the wear level, but they were not at a level where I should be concerned. So I soldiered on. I put about 275 miles on them before I started looking for a new pair. So I soldiered on. I put about 275 miles on them before I started looking for a new pair. I ended up trying on about 50 pairs of all kinds of different brands and ending up landing on Hoka Clifton 9's since they felt great inside the store. And since I have such a large foot (14 Wide), it can be tough to find shoes with interesting colorways. Hoka offered a lot so I tried them out. After about 50 miles in the Hoka's, I noticed they really weren't wearing in or getting really comfortable and I my feet were actually hurting a bit. So, I went shoe shopping again and ended up trying on a size 14 regular width of the Glycerin GTS 20 and it fit nicely and reminded me just how much I liked the shoes right from the start. So I returned the Hoka's and immediately ordered a new pair of the Glycerins. And since now I had lost a bunch of weight and I could fit into a size 14 regular, I was able to get a whole bunch of fun new colorways. I ended up going with the jadeite/drip series and I love them. They are SLIGHTLY different than all the other colors (the toe box is missing all the little vents that the other colorways have but I haven't found it to effect the shoes at all).I now have 350 miles on the original pair and they have been semi-retired to become my indoor biking shoes. I also have about 125 miles on the new pair that I bought a month ago and I am going to definitely be looking at another pair by the end of next month.I would DEFINITIVELY say that being that I weighed so much and put a lot of hard miles on these shoes, not only are they EXCELLENT for my feet (solved issues with plantar fasciitis) but they wear extremely well. Even when it is wet out, they still have enough grip where I am not sliding around. The foam sole layers have not become flat or lost their cushioning. I would keep wearing them but really, the outsole grips are pretty much at the end of their life span. They still work great as everyday shoes or like I use them on the bike, but the grip was the limiting factor.Still, I got WAY more out of my first pair than I expected. They fixed my feet issues, they were comfortable for a big guy to walk 35 miles a week in them and not cause any further issues. That was a BIG plus for me. Being that feet are so important to keep healthy while you're in the middle of a weight loss, having the right, comfortable pair of shoes that keeps you moving is key.Glycerin GTS for the win. I am just hoping they have more colors by the end of August, although I really like the new Adrenaline GTS 23's that just came out! If Brooks wants to sponsor me, you know where to find me! Haha

Disappointed
26 December 2023

Hard to adjust to after wearing only ghost. They run wide, and are very roomy, they do not fit your foot securely. They claim to be super comfortable. Or the most comfortable shoe that Brooks has to offer they really need to work on that. They are not that cushioning. The new way they print the shoe, allows the company to cheapen the shoe. They have reduced the tread on the bottom it makes it very slippery when the concrete is wet because it has no tread. It’s like walking on a bald tires. I have had this pair for under 2 months and the shoe laces are already tearing up, stripping and shredding. The shoes cushion is breaking down rapidly. Becoming less comfortable with every ware.

Extremely comfortable for me
6 July 2024

I’ve worn the adrenaline GTS for the past five years because I need some support and the price was right. I’ve always liked them, but lately felt like I could use some more cushioning than what they had. I grabbed the glycerin GTS 20 on sale and I am extremely happy I switched. These are the perfect balance of cushioning and support for me. They do feel wider in the tow box, so overall they feel slightly big. I think if I went down a half a size it might be too tight though, so I’m sticking with my original size. These were a great price, and I loved the color. I do wish the entire midsole was the beautiful blue color instead of white. I’ve never understood white midsoles. They just get dirty so quickly when you run outdoors. I sprayed mine with a protectant spray ... MoreI’ve worn the adrenaline GTS for the past five years because I need some support and the price was right. Great longer distance shoe

I am a bit heavier than I would like to be, but my weekly distance is getting up there nicely and I can now manage a 20km run on the weekend without too many issues - which I am verry happy about! In 2014 a podiatrist recommended Brooks Ravenna for me which was life changing. Gone was my knee and shin pain. Amazing. I've run in them and then the Launch GTS since. Now 10 years older, and in my second half, I wanted to try a softer shoe for the long runs. I tried the Adrenaline a couple of years ago but didn't like it. I bought the Aurora BL for fun and love the feel of the cushion but it doesn't have enough support. Most reviews are written by much lighter and younger people than me, and I don't really know what all the technical things they talk about mean. The Glycerin GTS feels great. Not too soft and it retains the control I am used to from the Launch GTS. I feel less bruised after a long run.It is slower. Sorry, I am slower while running in them. But not much and the trade-off is faster KMs at the end of the long run, or at least I am still enjoying them a lot more. The Launch GTS is still my faster run shoe but I am thinking of trying out the Hyperion 2 GTS next.

Lightest Shoe Yet, Unbelievable Cushioning
28 August 2023

Strong durable but surprisingly light top end running shoe, that breaks in super easy. Huge step up in cushioning, and certainly a noticeable difference compared to other shoe brands, particularly through the impact from the heel and rocking through to the toe. This however does not impact stability, and still gives that great feeling pushing off from your toe, with added spring. The shoe itself required little time to break in, approx 9-12 kilometres, before the shoe had moulded to my foot. The breathable upper adds to the overall lightness of the shoe, and I could not feel much difference on cooler days vs warmer days, in overall breathability.Design is aesthetically pleasing, with a simple print, and subtle mix of colours. I certainly regret not choosing the stealthfit.Overall, an amazingly light shoe, with great cushioning, stability, a sense of feeling grounded, some simple but good colourways, that are well put together ina flyknit type finish. Highly recommend for medium to long distance runners, as you won't feel any reduction in cushioning and spring off the toe. Convinced the wife to even buy a pair!!!

Perfect blend of cushioning and support without going overboard

I purchased this shoe after not buying shoes for almost 7 years. I had previously worn Asics mostly. I noticed the that Hoka's were very popular among medical professionals so I went to the store initially expecting to leave with a pair of Hoka's. I tried the Hoka's which felt okay, but I wanted to keep an open mind, so I tried on these Brooks. I was sold immediately. Not only did they fit better, but in my opinion, they are generally a superior product. Thank you so much Brooks!

Saved My Running Career (Debilitating Achilles Pain Now Gone)

Truly an Achilles saver in my case. Fast forward today and the closest shoes they make to the old discontinued Hurricane Iso's were made so cheaply that within 2-months of use, they caused debilitating achilles tendon pain for me to the point that I was on the verge of having to stop running for the first time in 20-years. So much pain in fact that walking was becoming a struggle. Needless to say, out of desperation to continue my weekly jogging regiment, I frantically researched other shoe brands to help alleviate my pain and ended up settling on the Glycerin GTS 20's. All I can say is thank God for Brooks. Literally within 2-week of switching to these shoes (not even properly broken in yet), my Achilles pain is expeditiously dissipating. Every day feels a little better, and every jog feels more comfortable and more stable. I am now getting to a point where I can throttle my pace up and down, run hills, and interval train like I always have without grinding my teeth to distract from the intense Achilles throbbing. HUGE thank you to all the folks at Brooks. You saved my running career. Please continue to prioritize making top quality shoes like these. Your shoes help people, and I can't wait for the next Glycerin GTS to be launched. A narrow width in these would be nice. Just an FYI.

Supportive with comfort you can wear all day
19 March 2024

I have worn this shoe for years and the quality has been consistent. I need a narrow heel cup and the Glycerin stays put unlike the Adrenaline. The padding at the top of the heel seems to somehow crush easier than before when putting the shoes on and I usually have to remove the shoe to straighten it out, not a deal breaker. These shoes feel super soft and are comfortable to be in all day. They do need time to rebound, think two pair.
