I’ve had a Brother overlocker before so was thrilled to find this updated one. Brother make reliable, long lasting, well functioning machines. I’m really pleased with this one. It stitches really well, the threading is well diagrammed and easy and the machine is compact. Very happy with it!

Super fast delivery! Haven’t had much time to play yet - only used a four thread overlock stitch - but it was (by overlocker standards) easy to thread and easy to adjust to get a perfect stitch. Nice and compact. Think it’s a winner!

I am an overlocker virgin, but so far I am pleased with what I have done. I have a lot to learn and found the DVD and manual essential. I have re threaded it from scratch and was after the first attempt surprised at how easy it was!

I got this machine when my old overlocker died. I was looking for an overlocker that had a great rolled hem and this machine did it perfectly on all types of fabrics.The needle threader was an awesome bonus. No more struggling to thread the needles. Highly recommend !
I'm more used to using an industrial overlocker, but I wanted one for home. After a bit of research, I decided on the Brother 4234D. I couldn't be happier. It does everything you need from an overlocker, easy to use, easy to thread, great stitch, and a fabulous little compartment to catch the trimmings. Great for the price.
After buying a cheap overlocker for my use of an overlocker. I decided to invest a good quality machine. As i have a Brother sewing machine, I decided to go for a brother overlocker. Once i got the hang of threading, the machine was very smooth and quiet. Stitch quality very good. Very please with it
This is the first overlocker I have ever used so it was a big step purchasing one. I read reviews and was assisted by staff online so was able to make a choice. I found it to be a right choice for my needs. It’s easy to thread and it sews like a dream. Everything is streamlined and the mechanics are smooth and run soundly. If anyone wants an overlocker without spending a fortune, I would definitely choose this model. It’s a pity that the wide table is an optional extra and not included in the package. I hope to purchase this in the future. I love the feature which allows the side to be removed to make it easy to sew cuffs etc.I am delighted with my machine.
I had previously been on a sewing course as an insight into the workings of an overlocker and I am delighted with my purchase of a Brother 4234D.The supplied CD is useful to watch but it is necessary to comprehensively read through the instruction booklet before sewing.Not owning an overlocker before it is difficult to compare but all advertised features have performed well and I feel confident I made the right choice. Arrived well packaged, a clean and tidy looking machine which is functioning as I had hoped.
I have really enjoyed learning how to use the Overlocker. Lots of help is available from Brother and You Tube videos. I can't compare with others as this is the first I have ever used. It's a 4 star as I find it difficult to start sewing exactly where I need to but this could be lack of experience. It's great to be able to sew knits easily and so satisfying to see the professional finish on the inside of the garment.
Love this over locker. Haven't tried all the stitching techniques yet, looking forward to using them. Love that needles r self threading. Only comment wish Brother would put on UTube demonstrations of each sewing technique.
