I am still amazed at all the new skills I am to learn this is a huge jump in abilities from my other machine. It sews with such smooth silence and speed , I love the free motion . So much to learn But seems to explain well in the guides.I have to say I am very disappointed in the flimsy cover it comes with for spending quite a significant dollars to come with a flimsy nylon cover. My $400 Janome had a hard case . I also saw on face book This model product van but decided to shop directly to site with all the scams etc. since spending so much money and I didn’t get a free trolley bag like my sister who went through Facebook. .

My mum has, for many years raved about what an exceptional machine Brother is. She has always been been a very talented seamstress. I was at a point in my life as to when I could afford a top of the range sewing machine and this is why, after researching the different models, decided on the BQ3100. It has a huge range of stitches and accessories, each one is easy to master, even if you are learning. This machine will make you want to sit in front of it and work on a project. When I chat to my Mum (95 years old and still sewing and independent) I am normally on my days off working with my machine. I am always telling her what a pleasure it is to use this machine, every stitch is as perfect as is the tension. I highly recommend Echidna as your one stop shop for all ... Still have much to learn on this beautiful machine. I really like the MuVit digital dual feed foot! Works so smoothly moving my quilted fabrics through the needle. My local dealer was great to work with, now I need to schedule classes to learn more of the features.

I was considering getting a new sewing machine with definite features, even willing to give up other favorite features if necessary. I never expected to find a machine that had all my needed features as well as my desired ones. It was such a pleasant surprise to meet my new "best friend" that day. With vision issues I have been concerned about having to give up sewing altogether. Fortunately this is no longer the case. This Brother machine comes with all the basic equipment plus more than I even knew about. There is no need to buy a lot of additional accessories. Now I am working hard trying to learn all the features and enjoying every stitch along the way.
Everything you need is on this machine, from the fabulous lighting to the laser guide, and the compact dual feed foot just makes quilting a dream. The pivot function means you don’t even need to take your hands of your work to turn corners. So smooth and quiet.
Sewing machine arrived quickly. It is even better than I thought it would be. Learning how to use all attachments. Automatic "pivot" feature a great time saver. Nice to have large "throat" area when quilting. I have sewn for years, but have not quilted before. Never too old to learn something new. Machine was a great deal.Thanks again. Teresa H.

As a Brother Educator and quilter, this is my go to….I love the laser light and move it foot for quilting straight lines on thick quilts.For thread painting and free motion quilting, I can drop the feed dogs with the touch of a button.The quilting menu has my favorite binding stitch too. I’ve saved time by applying bindings by machine on quilts, placemats and table runners.This machine has everything I need…of course the needle threader and thread cutter are a great feature too.
