I recently had a terribly frustrating experience with purchasing a new HP desktop personal printer to replace a customer friendly HP printer we had for many, many years in our home which never failed us . The HP Smart App (not very smart!) that should have allowed us to install the new one to the computer and wireless easily wouldn’t allow this to work because it consistently blocked the ability to connect to my wireless and my PC. After speaking to a terribly rude Customer service Rep who told me it was not the HP Smart app or the printer , but my computer that was not working and who hung up on me. I had to personally pay for my tech company on 3 separate occasions to no avail until they suggested that since the HP Smart App was creating the problem, I should ... MoreI recently had a terribly frustrating experience with purchasing a new HP desktop personal printer to replace a customer friendly HP printer we had for many, many years in our home which never failed us . In no time at all, I was able to get the Brother model to easily connect to my PC and skip the wireless which I preferred not to use, , an option which was the reason I picked the model I chose. It works like a charm, has a huge online manual abd other tools and easy accessibility to a support link. I am very pleased that the Micro Center “Knowledge Expert” suggested the Brother laser printer model I purchased. It is user friendly, fast and efficient and l avoided all the stress that the once reliable and customer friendly HP company no longer offers. My tech company and the store both told me that a lot of their customers have complained and returned HP desktop printers because of frustration. Yay for Brother and their excellent product, concern for customers and very good price!

We got this Brother mono laser printer to replace a slowly failing inkjet we'd had for so many years. This printer is quiet, fast, and the print quality is fantastic. We've already used it to accomplish some projects that would have been maddening to attempt with out previous printer. I found the setup to be quick and straightforward. I opted not to get the printer with the ethernet port but that's fine, WiFi works great. You can even put in your WiFi password right on the one line LCD on the top panel. Is it easy, not really, but heck it's convenient. I also love how great this printer is with AirPrint. Printing from Mac and iPhone is just plain simple. I can't wait to get some more printed projects done. Bought this a few weeks ago and use in a Home Office + 3 kids household environment. Easy setup, small footprint, proper A4 paper drawer, flawless integration with multi-user Mac and Windows network environment, economic on toner refills and probably just as good in a small office. I have another multifunction colour laser to do the more expensive and complicated stuff! Gave up on inkjets years ago for home as they just dry up unless in constant use and seem to cost way more to run. Would have liked to have seen an ethernet port but wireless AirPrint has worked perfectly from any device. John Lewis service first class as always.

FĂĽr die wer kein Englische sprechen koennen: sehr scheisslich aber irgendwie hat viele gut Bewertung?! Ich verstehe das nicht. Somehow every printer I buy is absolutely terrible and works when it feels like it and doesn't when it doesn't. I'll never understand how printers can still be so hard to use and barely work. I always have to try multiple times for this thing to print. It can't print large PDFs. No error message. It just doesn't do it. Entering your wifi password is super slow. But other apps have figured out how to not have to enter it at all. But printer companies haven't. They don't care about users I guess.
This has been a miserable experience. The machine decides the toner needs replacing when the quality of the print is fine. If you do not change the toner you cannot print. The machine should not be making this decision - especially when the print quality is fine The machine decides when the Optical Photoconductor needs replacing. Once it decides this, no matter how well your machine is working, you are no longer able to print. The combination of these to features means you are replacing parts that do not need to be replaced, and once replaced, the error messages do not always clear. Which means you are spending the price of a new printer every few months to change toner and drum, or you are constantly searching YouTube for workaround videos. Do not expect a response ... MoreThis has been a miserable experience. The machine decides the toner needs replacing when the quality of the print is fine. I've had this printer for a couple of weeks, an so far, I am very happy with it. I give it 5 stars for performance, but 4 stars overall because setting it up is somewhat complicated. The quick-start guide that comes in the box is unfathomable, so I downloaded the installation package from the website. I followed that successfully, but it was time-consuming. It also comes with an installation CD, but my computer has no CD player. Printing-wise, the copies are sharp, and come through the machine swiftly. I initially scorned the inclusion of wifi for wireless printing, but now find the ability to print directly from my phone a great convenience. This is an excellent machine.
I was tired of resetting my big inkjet printer when it kept dropping off WiFi. I was also tired of the ink cartridges kept drying up. I decided I didn’t need color as I could use the local shop for anything needing color. I read that laser printers were much more reliable and lower cost to run. I searched the reviews for a compact laser printer. Brother was best in class. But which model? I found that the HL2350DW had the size and features I wanted. We bought it about a year ago. We use it every single day. It hasn’t lost Wifi connection yet. It just prints. I’ll never get tired of it.
I bought this printer because I was tired of dealing with all the hassles of inkjet printers (out of ink, clogged nozzles etc). My only complaint is that the quick start sheet could be better. It comes with a CD. I'm pretty sure we don't have any computers with CD readers in them anymore. The quick start sheet really should cover putting in the wifi SSID and password, especially because once I did that it just worked. Really. I went to add the printer to my laptop, which runs Ubuntu Linux, expecting it to be a big struggle, because printing from Linux is often a pain, and the printer was already in the printer settings. I did have to check the box for two-sided :) Adding the printer to my wife's Windows 10 laptop was almost as easy and printing from my iPhone just ... MoreI bought this printer because I was tired of dealing with all the hassles of inkjet printers (out of ink, clogged nozzles etc). The print quality is good, not as good as the washing machine sized Konicas at work, but certainly good enough for anything I need, and since I'm old I expect that the included toner cartridge will last the rest of my life
This printer was, at first, an excellent value. Adequate print quality, inexpensive to operate, convenient and reliable WiFi connection. That was until the printer suddenly lost the ability to connect to our network. (MacOS, IOS, Eero mesh router). I spent hours going through the connection trouble shooting steps, rebooted and reinstalled multiple times. Then I spoke with a Bother tech. Went through the same steps, got the same outcome. Then I repeated the process with a senior tech. Also ran remote diagnostics. No luck. Then I was transferred to someone who might be able to replace my machine under the warranty. Was told it was over a year old and not covered. He also told me that they had been having issues with Eero routers experiencing unstable connections with the printer. (Pay attention here if you have an Eero.) Per Brother I am SOL. I am checking on line for another printer, definitely not Brother, but on a whim I check the Eero documentation. Found a little tweak in the app in a few minutes and, presto, printer connected. I hope the Brother tech support team is writhing in shame over not being able to find in hours of effort a solution a 78 year old user solved in ten minutes with a little creative thought. Remember they told themselves that there were issues specific to Eero. How embarrassing.
First- the printer prints great. That was expected. However... the darn thing works only when it feels like it. I spent literally hours yesterday trying to make it print before deleting it and re- installing it. For unknown reasons it slips into offline mode and won't come out . I tried all the youtube solutions but they aren't compatible with the current Windows setup so they are seeing the old pop up boxes etc and I have the new ones that are different. This is not the first time this has happened and I've only had this printer less than six months. Yes, there were many expletives .
