For the price. Its awesome. Quick printing. Easy install. Scans quick for a cheap printer. And no need for paying for ink cartridges that go off when not used. Very happy. I dont normally write reviews but this one is worth it. 6 months of use so far. P.s. just unsubscribe from mailing list i hate all advertising emails.

we have both Mac and pc devices at home. Once we had worked out the menu system on the printer and got it on the network we had the issue of getting all the devices to see it. The apple devices were easy to get up and running with the Brother Iprint and Scan app (iMac,laptop, ipad, phone). The PC laptops running windows were a bit more complicated and not as straight forward. The Scan App on the apple devices is very easy to use.

This printer is the epitome of rubbish. Every single time I turn it on to use it, it disconnects itself from the internet. It's small screen adds onto the difficulty to navigate and type in the passcode for my internet. I want a refund. I have tried everything; turning off my internet modem and turning it back on... nope. Or worst it halfway through printing a a 5 page document it stops and disconnects itself from the internet, despite my internet working perfectly fine for all my household devices. The Brother company needs to take responsibly. This product is horrible and I feel as though I have wasted $200+ on a non functional printer.

Excellent multifunction printer. Printing and scanning work extremely well. Although I may not use it much, I am most impressed with the FAX. FaxStream report from Telstra has all items marked as excellent. At this stage I have had absolutely no problems with NBN faxing. My NBN is FTTP with a UNI-V phone connection. Downloaded the latest drivers & software from Brother. Integration with Windows 10 is a breeze. Highly recommended.
I had a similar brother printer before this one for over 9 years but needed wireless and other printer started giving trouble. This one is all that wanted in a printer. Only a few things I would like and then would be perfect. 1. Option for different colour, 2. Shape of printer hasn’t changed, would be nice to have a more modern look but I’m very happy with this printer’s performance.
This printer is a replacement for an older brother printer I had. Brother printers seems to be the most reliable and this one is no exception. Print quality is great. The only frustrating thing has been getting it to work wirelessly. Tried for hours following the instructions and YouTube clips but can’t get it to work so it’s plugged in via cable. Same thing happened with my last brother. It worked wirelessly for a while and then only via cable. Kind of annoying but I haven’t had time to return it yet as I’m busy between work and study.
This is my first mono laser printer after years of using color inkjets. I switched to laser because of the price of ink and the endless head cleaning issues. I’ve always been a Brother fan when it comes to printers. This one is quick and quiet, print quality is great, and the ADF on the scanner is super handy. Software is a bit clunky, but I’m used to that. Simple to set up, easy to use, and a great price. Highly recommended for home offices where color printing isn’t really needed.
Have had ours for over a year without running into many problems. Doesn't like thick paper and tends to wrinkle it or jam. Tried using aftermarket toner, but didn't seem to last as long as original. Now have a persistent 'Printer Offline' message, but it shows toner level is zero. Will try a genuine toner cartridge, and if that doesn't fix the communication issue, will buy another printer of the same model. Fax facility is a waste of space - who uses faxes these days?
Bought this to replace my old inkjet epson - set up was ok, not fast but not painful either. Printer is fast as it’s b&w. Scanner pretty fast too. My only gripe is WHY do all these printers have wifi when it never works properly without re-setting the printer - which requires that you turn it off and on again and physically be in same roo, …. so what is the point of wifi connection - PLEASE just give us a cord to plug into !
In many years of printing, I haven't bought a Brother printer before this recent purchase on the recommendation of a friend who has worked a long time in IT. It's been set up to print wirelessly from a MacBook, responds far more quickly than its name brand predecessor and I'm thrilled to have the versatility of double-sided printing too. That previous printer could not be set up wirelessly for some reason so that now there is one less cable on the work desk. What a saving of paper and space. All in all, after a few weeks of using the new printer, I have been very happy.
