I own several Brother sewing machines. The Innovis 1300 is my favorite all round machine. It does patchwork, dressmaking, and quilting. It is also very portable, so easily moves from one place to another. Highly recommended.

This machine is fantastic! The only other machine I think is better is the Brother PR600 series. The Innovis 4000D runs fairly quiet while in embroidery mode and embroiders very smoothly. It does the embroidery design neatly on both the back and the front. Some trimming is needed but that is normal. The screen and software is very user friendly. Oh! And did I mention the automatic needle threader? It is a dream to use, no more sand in the eyes feeling, no more magnifying glass! Simply thread it around the arrow directing markings to the cut off point, pull the thread until it cuts it and let it be. Push the threading button and viola! Your needle is threaded and you are ready to go!

Love this machine. Bought this model for my mom who had a Brother LB6800 (4x4 hoop size). She loves the 7x12 hoop and the usb connectivity. Hands down Brother makes the best and most user friendly embroidery machines.
This is a wonderful and challenging machine, not one for the beginner. It will take me a while to master it but so far my sewing has improved just at a slow pace.

Idea for the more advanced enthusiast. Great stitch quality, quiet operation and love the needle threader.
No longer star of the art but it does have some wonderful features. Automatic threading, thread cutting and a large color touch screen to name just a few. LOTS of decorative and quilting stitches including 9 mm. Runs smoothly and quietly as well as having great control over tension, presser foot height stitch speed. Highly recommend this machine as having good value for the money.
After researching this product I purchased it on ebay. The only thing I have had trouble with is it doesn't always cut the bobbin thread and I am still learning how to resize the pattern. I still don't know how to download patterns from my computer (a mac). I think it requires a different format. Still some things to learn but I am having great fun making and embroidering gifts for my grand baby that is due in July. She was my motivation for this purchase. Love this machine and would recommend it.
