it does the job but the screen is quite primitive. no light and a very small range of angle where its clear and its the angles where youll see your reflection. poor product design imho. maybe ok for a really bright office setting but hard to read in a home setting regardless of contrast adjustment im not sure if its the same problem with other brands/models. this is my first electronic labeler so ive learned maybe its something to consider if youre in the market for one. cheers!

I have an older Brother which is over 20 years old! It cost a lot of money back then and is still fantastic to use, however this new model, whilst only uses a maximum size of 12mm tape has an amazing range of fonts, frames and images, so many choices which I can use for my sewing, messages and reminders for the family, labeling items for school, work etc. endless possibilities with this label maker. I love the fact that the tape is 8 metres long as opposed to another brand which only has 4 metre tape, meaning I go through the tape a lot faster. The tape quality is brilliant and easy to peel too. I also bought the AC adapter which means no more batteries, however when needed I can always pop some in! I highly recommend this label maker and a potential purchaser would ... MoreI have an older Brother which is over 20 years old! A great label printer

I bought this printer when I realised that the dozens of plugs I had lying around were not identifiable when plugging them back in for use. I also come to the conclusion I didn’t know what the many always on sockets controlled. This label printer as turned out to be a godsend, sockets, chargers, multiple plugs, are picked up and plugged in in seconds. I don’t know how any household with computers, tablets, phones, page printers plus all the normal kitchen equipment can manage without one of these label printers. All hidden control boxes now labelled. Just get one if you have anything that needs identification.

Doesn’t come with the adapter
29 August 2024

I specifically bought this one because it had the option of using electricity. But it doesn’t come with the ac adapter. Seperately it costs CH22. So you are better off buying the one with the case which is supposedly have the adapter included. It was my mistake, but when you buy something electric IT has always come with the plug. So don’t make my mistake!!!

Excellent for what it is
19 February 2020

This is a great little label maker for what it is. There didn’t appear to be a significant difference in functions between this one, the one below it, or the one above it in price point. I went with this one over the one down because I can set it down to operate it over holding it while operating it (although it appeared possible to operate it without holding it, I wasn’t absolutely sure so went with this one). And as stated, the one above didn’t appear significantly different in function. Yes, there is a bit of tape waste in front, but not enough to make me hate the machine. Oh, fonts are not what I thought. It’s shape, rather than type, that are different. I gave it 4 stars overall and if you just want to label household items I recommend it.

Excellent styling, however...
13 April 2021

Unit has smaller footprint over the PT-2030 it replaces but is considerably thicker which is a minus for me because I move around while using it. Unit uses AAA batteries, down from the AA batteries in the 2030. Jury is still out on this. Function keys are much improved and fairly intuitive. Alphanumeric display is not as bright as the 2030 even with maximum contrast. Requires well lit room. Fonts use unconventional names. It becomes necessary to pick one you like instead of a font you're familiar with. I still gave it 4 stars because it gets the job done, increased functionality and more intuitive operation over the PT-2030. DON'T throw away the instruction sheet!

Great printers…but……
4 December 2022

Bought this PT-D210 3 years ago. Did not have much use for it until I started to organize my SD cards. Wanted to number them with large number but all I get are numbers to small to read. Tried to change the font size but the insruction in the manual DO NOT WORK. Tried YouTube. The instructions there are by a young lady that goes way too fast, assumes too much and doesn’t know about a remote mic. Geez. All I want to do is make a font bigger. I’m about ready to call my 7 year old grandson to help me.

Very Good Label Maker at A Reasonable Price
23 September 2020

This is a fairly easy to use (once you learn how it works) machine that creates near-professional quality labels. Fortunately, a small roll of tape is provided with the included tape cartridge so you can explore and practice how the machine works. The Label Maker offers a wide variety of choices with respect to fonts, font sizes and spacing, font style treatments and special characters, as well as label borders, if desired. While the replacement tape cartridges are a bit expensive, they offer an impressive array of printed type and background color combinations. I purchased an optional power converter so as not to burn through batteries, and the Label Maker is working perfectly right out-of-the-box, and this Label Maker is actually fun to use once you get the hang ... MoreThis is a fairly easy to use (once you learn how it works) machine that creates near-professional quality labels. Way better than paper sheet file labels.
13 January 2021

I've wasted money on sheet file labels since I only use them once a year on setting up my filing records. This label maker has a lot of features that I like and the labels will hold up much better on file folders. The keys are large enough for my fingers to cleanly strike with few spelling mistakes; different font sizes to select; additional label embellishments built in if I want to use them; a wide variety of available label sizes, colors and uses as well as the easy split peal feature and strong adhesive. What I don't like is that there is no way to shorten the actual length of the label BEFORE AND AFTER IT PRINTS WHEN YOU CUT IT so for my purposes it wastes a lot of money spent on labels which are expensive.

decent but wasteful
26 May 2021

I've been using the D210 now for several months and while it's a decent printer, it seems the settings are designed to waste about 40% of the tape cartridges. I've read the instructions twice and find it very annoying to have to edit the settings every single time I use it. My complaint is that the margins or tabs - I still can't figure which is which - are defaulted to waste an inch of tape before AND after whatever you input is printed. You change the settings to where they're almost acceptable but every time you change the copy the settings once again default to where you waste half of each label when you print it. I get it; you guys want to sell more tape cartridges but it's beyond ridiculous. I almost suggest purchasing a different brand until they either fix ... MoreI've been using the D210 now for several months and while it's a decent printer, it seems the settings are designed to waste about 40% of the tape cartridges.
