I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. Now he gets excited when there are flies in the house as he can go hunting. I often hear cheers from him when he slays another fly!I also love the fact that we aren't filling the air with expensive toxic fly sprays.Highly recommend the bug a salt.

My retriever hates buzzing insects and you would think the ducks were flying when she hears me cock my bug-a-salt. She retrieves the flies, hence the sorry state of my first wing shot trophy.The laser sight was a snap to sight in. Instructions were clear.Now, much to my Lab’s joy, I will be missing less flies than I do ducks. This spring when the wife says, “Close the door! I just love it - at 70 I wasn't very stable to use the sights on the gun but this laser sight is amazing. Funny story, I was almost arrested at OR Tambo for bringing a lethal weapon into the country from New Zealand.It was a Christmas Gift from me to my husband. After a 14 hour flight, a plastic toy plastic salt gun was not a priority on my list, wasn't declared because it was a plastic toy, but it certainly was for SAPS. Be that as it may, it was confiscated and I eventually had it retrieved 2 months later.....................hope you enjoyed the funny side of that! It is amazing - BUY IT
Been waiting for this for a good while to come back into stock. Ordered- swift delivery well packaged fitted and aligned easily. Frist 3 kills bang bang bang 3 less flies which is when my regret started. Can't get the wife to give it back see gone all Rambo on everything with six legs or more. Going have to buy myself another one
Great little laser, makes aiming quicker and more accurate as long as you set it for the optimum shooting distance and stick to that distance. Also don't forget to turn it off....easily done!Loses one star because mine doesn't tighten onto the gun barrel firmly enough and easily twists to one side or the other. I have put electrical around the barrel before fitting which helps a bit.
Using the iron sights at 1st with the bug-a-salt was great fun and very accurate, however takes that extra second or so to line it up, once I had the laser attachment, my aim time was reduced and I didn't have to line up with the face, giving more windows of opportunity. I'm still unsure if the flies know what's up when they see the laser but they get obliterated just the same. The whole concept and build of the entire product of the gun, the laser and the phone attachment is excellent and everybody that has a go loves it. I know 3 more people that have purchased since I recieved mine and everyone loves it just the same.
I bought the Bug-a-salt gun last year for my husband! He was like a kid in a lolly shop!! The biggest smile ever! At the time the laser was out of stock!I purchased it for Valentine’s Day and got to see that wonderful smile again!!No more flies few sore legs but amazing product! Great quality!! Precise fit, did not have to adjust at all, was right on the money. Very well made. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of this little jewel. Highly recommend this item. Bought two for myself, as it's always nice to have a back-up. Came with great instructions, too.
I’ve been a Bug-A-Salt user and Dan for about 5 years and been using the 2.0 and 3.0 which are excellent for flies (I’ve hiked hundreds, with pleasure) , though a lot harder to kill yellow jackets with.Then comes the SHRED-ER CO2 powered pistol. Billed to be ideal for bigger or tougher bugs including yellow jackets. I got the Bug-Beam adapter (laser) with the new pistol, attached it, sighted it I. Using perhaps 8 shots and it was ready to go. A few days later, a yellow jacket thought our breakfast looked good and was annoying us. Out comes the SHRED-ER, turned on the laser, one shot and he was a goner. Outstanding! Usually it takes a number of hits to take those quiy out using the normal 2.0, but not with this. I use the 2.0 and 3.0 for flies still for sure, and ...
