I spent an hour looking around Ulta for hair products because I’m always trying to find something that works for my hair and I haven’t been able to find something that I like the way it works 100% yet, but I’ve been using this product for a couple months and I have to say that I love this cream. Bumble tried to make a lighter creme for wavy hair, but ever since reformulating the original curl line and the 2nd generation curl line, BB lost its magic for boosting wavy shape on 2A-2C hair. Behentrimonium Chlorides and Cetrimoniun Chlorides are WAY too heavy for wavy hair; that stuff seems great for strong curls and tighter curls. But Bumble has GOT to stop lumping in 2A-2C hair along with 3A-4C hair, because 2A-2C has different needs. Using any of these new BB products, my curls/waves are limp, flattened, and most of the natural beachy texture I've had in my hair since I was a kid looks limp, straighter, and boring. For 2A-2C hair, BB's whole curl line is the OPPOSITE of curl enhancing or of boosting.

Their BB Curl defining cream does not disappoint. I was a bit worried because my curls/waves sometimes oddly do better without any product. It left my curls soft (no crunch), it smells incredible and they seem way more moisturized than letting them dry without any product. I have thick 2C/3A curls. I was gifted the Bumble and Bumble Defining Cream and used it on freshly washed and deep conditioned hair. The product smells fresh and clean... very pleasant but not overwhelming. I applied it in small sections and used my Denman brush to clump the curls and I will say day 1 curls looked great. My curls were defined and shiny; however, my hair felt dry. Day 2 curls required a refresh- especially at the roots. It was very frizzy and puffy but the ends were still nicely defined. I was able to do Day 3 but had to do a serious refresh (saturated hair with water, applied more product and brushed). I added Bumble and Bumble anti-humidity gel-oil to that refresh and my hair felt less dry. I would give this product a 7.5/10. It would probably be ... MoreI have thick 2C/3A curls. I have a 2C/3A hair type and I’ve been looking for a better curl cream than my current product. I really like this one!After I wash my hair and it’s still soaking wet I work a nickel sized amount of product in my palms and apply with “praying hands” and lightly scrunch my wet hair to create clumps. Then I plop my hair in a towel for at least an hour and air dry.I love the results! It’s much lighter than the product I’ve been using and I’ve seen a big difference in my curls. They’re less weighed down and when my hair dries I don’t feel like I have any product in hair. My curls are soft and bouncy. I highly recommend this product for girls with a loose curl pattern.

This product is fabulous. It gives me nice curls without the crunch (that is something that I have to worry about each time that I try a curl defining product). My curls look very nice, defined and more bouncy. it also de-frizzes my hair and adds shine, as my hair tends to be very dry.The formula is not sticky and as it name suggest, it is very lightweight. I also like that I do not need a lot of product to see nice results. This light defining cream leaves my hair more soft and more manageable too,It does have a fragrance, but it is very light and pleasant. i will definitely recommend it to a couple of my curly friends!
I received this curl defining cream gifted by Bumble and Bumble and the first thing I noticed is the bottle is huge. I was honestly shocked at how much product you get for the price - it's like the size of a small shampoo bottle. It's got a flip top type cap that makes it super easy to dispense. It smells AMAZING. It's a thick, white, almost creamy texture - it's definitely thicker than some other curl creams I've tried and it's got great hold. It's a sticky type of cream that starts to hold and define as soon as you put it in your hair. It dries beautifully without any crunchiness. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a gel alternative!
I am a Caucasian female and I have thick and curly hair. For the ladies with curly hair, I think it's safe to say it is difficult to find a styling product that does not make our hair thicker/bushy, frizzy, or shapeless. This product is made for curly hair. I've never used a product that made my hair look as good as this stuff. This is a high-quality brand and it shows.I also tried a lighter version and to be honest I liked that one more. It worked better with my curl pattern even though both are just perfect. For tighter curls this original one is the best. Highly recommend!

It took a lot of frizz out of my hair which surprised me because that's always a problem I've had.
