It's a reasonably priced tire, and works well on most surfaces. It is not the equal of the D606 for more demanding rides, but not bad. I ran the Tail of the Dragon on the 605s, and while not super Moto-street rubber, I did quite well and could easily out corner cruisers. Rarely ride in the rain, so no opinion. The 606 is very good in the rain and on wet rock.It is for casual dual sport use, not serious stuff. I've received good mileage from both front and rear on my WR250R, but switch to the 606 if the going gets tough and I still need a DOT legal tire. The 605s generally last 3-4k miles, slightly more than the 606s when ridden on pavement.Neither is a true heavy duty off road tire, although the 606 is close.

This is an amazing tire. It really will help you build confidence, you can lean it deeper on the street then a regular knobby. Yes this tire seems slick on paint and on poorly done asphalt (no grit) but what tire wouldn't? The only reason you will lean hard on slick surfaces is because you will have gained so so much confidence on every other surface. They last long and do well with patches. Amazing predictability on and off road. They look good too. Highly recommend.-m-2006 HONDA CRF230F--

This tire set performed perfectly for what it is! It is a 50/50 tire, not a knobby or touring tire. Mud was a slower pace and riding for the conditions. I completed the MABDR on this tire and it worked very well. It handled as expected in the various terrains. It performed much better on the street than I expected. I was able to hang with BMW's through the paved curves without feeling any loss of traction. We busted the interstate back home and it was 12 hours of 70 mph. It rained on us for 3 to 4 hrs. I never felt unstable. They tracked well in the rain grooves. It griped on the gravel as expected, yet I could break it free for more spirited riding if needed. Braking was good on all surfaces. Tread life was better than expected. I thought they would be toast after ... MoreThis tire set performed perfectly for what it is! It is a 50/50 tire, not a knobby or touring tire. I thought they would be toast after the trip, but they have at least 50% tread still left. I ran proper air pressure while I was on the pavement. I also uesd a tubliss system and they held air very well. I will purchase a new set for the NEBDR as it will 12 hrs up to the trailhead and 22 hrs back on interstate for the nonBDR sections. I feel confident the tire will easily make the entire trip. This is a great set of tires if you are looking for 50/50 tires that can go the distance!-m-1999 HONDA XR650L--

Recently traded my 2019 Yamaha XT250 stock Trail Wings (at 4k) for these beauties. First weekend on, I did a solid 300 miles of country backroads (35-55mph) complete with grass clippings, sand in the corners. Gravel forest roads (20-40 mph), washouts, some playing in puddles. Then hauled back home, late for dinner on the interstate at 70mph. I put these babies to the test and it's like owning a totally different bike. Transition is flawless and they outperform the trail wings by a long shot. For as knobby as they look, there's fairly little wear and I anticipate getting atleast 4k out of them. My style of riding is usually short sections of pavement just to connect the dirt roads and these are perfect for just that. Perform well both on and off road. I bought this tire based on reviews and my previous experience with Dunlop tires (on my cars).I received the tire and mounted it with ease. That was just over 2500 miles ago, with about half of those miles on gravel or dirt. While I did like the performance in dirt, I have to say I have been extremely disappointed in the overall performance of the tire. The tire is on the back of a Kawasaki KLR 650 (appx. 450 lb) and I weigh 200. Total weight as I go down the road is about 700 with full fuel.I knew I was in trouble after the first 200 mile ride when there was visible wear of the tire. Each subsequent ride has just disappointed me further, always with a visible reduction in tread. No ride was greater than 250 miles. Now with only about 2500 miles, the tire is down enough that I am afraid to take the bike off road for fear of mud or gravel of any consequence.I know other riders with different brand tires on their KLR that show nearly no visible wear after over 3000 miles of street riding exclusively!I couldn't be more surprised nor disappointed in this Dunlop. They really let me down. I can't rate the tread life low enough
This has been a great tire, this is my 2nd time to buy this tire. I appreciate RMC easy to use site and fast shipping.I use these on a 2022 CRF300L, I am 57 years old 175lbs.The tire wear well, stable on the highway I ride fire roads duel track in the North Ga lots of gravel big imbedded rocks. I have hit few hard no damage to the tire. I run 25 psi-m-2022 HONDA CRF300L--
Great budget tires, these have pretty poor life due to the soft compound. I got 2500 miles out of the rear in my KLR with 50/50 riding, fully loaded and with luggage for much of it on BDRs. Front is still going with ~50% life left. The soft compound does have its advantages, good grip on and off road, not even bad in the rain. Also the easiest tire to mount which made my trail repairs a lot less of a hassle compared to a stiffer tire that would last twice as long. I will keep coming back to these, used to run tkc 80s and I can't tell much of a difference in grip, for a fraction of the price, not bad.
Installed on my 2014 Suzuki DRZ400. Purchased a like new, used, DRZ that the previous owner had installed a set of D606's on. The 606's are a great tire, but only lasted 1000 miles in the rocky east Tennessee backwoods. When I went to replace them, price became a concern at that low mileage point. I like the Dunlop brand. Use them on some of my other equipment. Trail Max Missions for one. D605 is maybe not as an aggressive tire as the 606, but in the rocky hard pack that I typically see it works great. Good on the road too. Dual Sport. Gotta ride to get to the riding. I am thinking about add the tubliss system to the DRZ along with the new set of D605's. Running a lower PSI would improve traction as well as reduce the heat that gets put into a tire from running tubes. That in itself would add miles to the life. Other people say, "For the price." I take that out of the equation and just say it's a good tire for the everyday true dual sport rider.
