My mom put me onto using this product years ago. Every winter my hands and feet get severely dry and no lotion on the market had done anything to help. Until I tried this. It’s made with natural beeswax (which I LOVE) and has a light scent, and it definitely is more of a heavier salve than a lotion. It’s a little greasy, but it’s INCREDIBLY moisturizing. I like to apply this at night before I go to bed, and my hands feet feel moisturized by the morning. Definitely buy this, it’s worth every penny.

Basically I love trying new hand creams. With my sensitive / atopic skin, I'm constantly looking for a rich, hydrating and moisturing cream (without fragrance 🌿) so I decided firstly to buy that cream because Burt's Bees is famous, but I didn't know their hand creams though. And also because because Beeswax works miracles šŸ’›šŸšŸ’› so I felt confident with my purchase... I also liked the old fashioned jar by the way. I want to begin my review by saying that I love Burt's Bees products especially the lip line. I kind of have a love-hate relationship for this product. I love Burt's Bees because it's naturally derived but, I absolutely hate this product in the sense that it just leaves a sticky film behind when you put it on your hands, not to mention the fact that it smells disgusting šŸ˜. My ideal hand product is one that is very moisturizing number one, number two it has to be quick absorbing as I do not enjoy a greasy hand lotion and last but not least eco-friendly would be great. I honestly had very high hopes for this product but it completely failed me I would not recommend this product to anyone particularly if you are like me, and you don't like a strong scented hand lotion ...Ā MoreI want to begin my review by saying that I love Burt's Bees products especially the lip line. Other than that the one thing I would say to the company is please work on the scent of this formula and also the formula because honestly it could be a lot better than it is like I said before I love Burt's Bees and I had high hopes šŸ˜”

I love the scent of this, always love anything lavender. And the scent lasts for a while. When you first got to use this you will have to break through the top layer. It’s a bit of a hard waxy layer on top. But once that’s done it’s a bit softer underneath. This feels greasy until it’s absorbed, which takes some time, about 5-10 to fully absorb. But once it does it leaves you hands soft and smooth. It’s very hydrating, and leaves a barrier on your hands. I prefer to use this at night because of how long it takes to absorb. But it’s definitely worth it. My hands have never felt better.

I got the small tin of this in a kit of about 5 items. I think it’s a great way to try anything new, less money to spend as opposed to buying 5 full size items you may not like. If you don’t like it and don’t have someone to give it to then that’s just more waste on earth for the landfill. I personally didn’t like the texture, it was sticky and felt awful on my skin as all the products in tins in this travel size set didn’t work for my skin type. My husband on the other hand absolutely loved all of the ones that I didn’t. I want to add that he’s not a skincare product lover like myself but also won’t use something like this unless it absolutely works for him. He’s retired from the army of 24 years and spends most of the day in the garage working on or fixing something.

Burt's Bees Hand Salve is a game-changer! This product has become a must-have in my daily routine. The natural ingredients provide deep hydration, and the soothing scent is simply delightful. It works wonders on my dry, rough hands, leaving them soft and nourished. I appreciate the convenient tin packaging, perfect for on-the-go use. Burt's Bees Hand Salve is an excellent investment for anyone seeking an effective and eco-friendly hand care solution

Cyclists take note!!
10 August 2023

I took a long cycling holiday in France this year with very little space for creams and moisturisers. So, I took one tin of this lovely hand salve which, up until now, I had only used on my hands. During the time I have been away this salve has served as face and body moisturiser, a balm for saddle sore, a lip balm and to keep my hair moisturised in the sun (disclaimer- I have very thick curly hair, so this probably be to heavy for usual hair types). After three weeks I still have some left and have had so many lovely compliments about my plump skin and shiny hair, I will continue to use the salve in this way. I almost forgot to mention one of the most amazing applications of the salve was in place of chain oil. A fabulous all rounder.

Hand salve
3 May 2022

I am a nurse and we wash or sanitize our hands frequently. My hands are extremely dry and will crack if I don't moisturize. I use the salve and put cotton gloves over them. I read another review stating that the salve gets on bedding. I hope the person reads my review. I purchased a bag of cotton gloves and they wash well and I don't have the problem with any messiness. I also have carpal tunnel and sleep with hand splits. The cotton gloves work well under the splints.(I do get some of the salve on the splints but I get a new pair of splints if there is too much accumulation on them) In addition I get dry and cracking cuticles so I apply cuticle oil nightly as well. I highly recommend your product it is the only product that has kept the dryness under control.

I love it, but my daughter seems to be allergic
22 January 2022

Like the title, I love this product. I use it at work quite often and before I go to bed. Just recently my daughter started breaking out with what look like hives on her hands and we narrowed it down to this product causing it. Today I oiled up my hands, then I washed her hands gently after a meal and then her fingers exploded. I thought it was something else, so I washed her hands again, then it just went further up her to her wrists. I then realized it may be the oil, so I did a spot test on her forearm arm, and sure enough, it broke out too. I washed my hands, washed her hands, changed her clothes, washed her, washed my hands, bagged the lotion, washed my phone, washed my hands and some other common surfaces I touch. I’ll likely get my daughter in to an allergenist some time soon, but she’s still so little they probably won’t do any tests on her. Again, I really like this lotion, I would recommend it to most, but it’s clearly not for everyone.I also have never had a problem with the tin except when I drop something on it and the lid gets smashed down too low, that adds an unwelcome degree of difficulty.

Oily mess that smells awful
6 November 2022

Seriously, I cannot figure out why Clorox discontinued the, "Miracle Salve" & replaced it with this stuff. It smells awful now, it doesn't soak into the skin like the MiS did. This stuff is greasy, oily, & just sits atop your skin, no matter how much you try & rub it in. The MiS you would get instant relief of itchy dry chafed skin, the moment you put it on. And it smelled wonderful! This Hand Salve is ridiculous. It feels like it's mostly mineral oil & coconut oil. Hideous recipe & useless.
