These bindings have been unreal! They're rated as a mid-flex binding (but feel slightly stiffer in the hi-back) that can handle anything you throw at them. The hi-back has a rubber hammock built into it, which I've noticed helps hold my boot stay in place and makes the binding extremely responsive. The canted footbeds, and asym hammockstrap make for a super comfortable ride. I really like the double-take ladders and buckles, they make strapping in quick and effortless. This binding can handle anything you throw at it whether its pow, park laps, or aggressive carving.

Best binding I have ever owned!

I’ve ridden Flux and Union bindings before demoing a pair of burton malavitas from my local snowboard shop. The first thing I noticed was how beautifully constructed they are and once I tried them I was sold on how responsive and comfortable they are. A major issue I had with the bindings I wore in the past was padding to dampen those rough landings and burton has that covered with the b3 gel and footbed. I really loved the toe cap from last year but apparently some people didn’t and burton fixed that which is awesome. Overall this is still the best binding I have owned and if I ever need a new pair I’m going straight for these bad boys. I ride at least 120 days a season and these have never disappointed!

Better than the old cartels

What else do you need to see? You know what you're looking at and it's the bees knees. The cartels are not what they used to be so take advantage of the 2023 malavita being the last year of production before they make some new subpar product to take its place next year.Everyone should rock this binding especially on a channel board.#sweepstakes

Great design and smooth buckle system

This is a fabulous binding, and I'm really impressed with the quality and how smooth and easy the binding buckles are to remove. I have top of the line Ride bindings that were on my board, and the buckles would always catch. Now after years of use, they're almost impossible to undo..super sticky and uncooperative. I was referred to the Burton bindings by several board sports stores, as the ultimate easy bindings that most people rave about, and they steered me in the right direction or sure. Love these!

Great do-it-all binding

I really like these bindings, although I do like my EST version better, but only because those are a L and these ones I got in a M. My size 10 mens US boot works great with both but a little better with the L. If I don't set my toe strap lengths perfect on the M, I get some pressure points but I fixed it by dialing the straps to my boot better. These might be slightly to flexy for my 161 T.rice pro, but overall I feel great with them and they can go on any board. I can strap in fast too

Love the design but need new boots to make it work

I love the toe strap design and the fact that all adjustments are easy to do on the mountain and even with gloves on in some instances. The bummer for me was that they aren't really compatible with my old boots. I run a set of Burtans from a few years back and they are too flexible in the toe to handle this type of binding. When I tighten these down all the way to my expectation, they pinch the toe and never really lock my foot in. I have fiddled with it a ton never found a way around it so I'm looking to upgrade boots now to something lighter and more stiff.

Got a new Burton Custom board after 20 years or riding my Ride Timeless. i thought it would last forever until I went to the mountain after a few year break and saw that everything i had was so obsolete and out of style that i have to upgrade. I know Burton has one or two bindings steps higher than these Malavita's but none had any good colors. they all looked Blah. these things look sweet on the Custom and unless your a pro i don't think anyone can tell how the better ones would be better. these things are awesome. I can't see how anything can be better. But neverminded that, this Peter Glen place rules!!!!! I bought both the board and bindings from here. I was expecting weeks or at least a week to get the stuff. And no time for that during late winter. Preferred binding of mine and my wife.

The Malavita's are great bindings. I've tried quite a few different bindings: cartels, missions, strata's, just to name a few. I always come back to the trusty malavita's. They are not cheap but they are worth every penny. I bought this pair for my wife, she prefers them as well after riding mine a lot last season.

Questionable fit, hard to adjust, misleading color

First off, I wear a size 8 boot (also Burton), which is right on the border of fitting a S or M of this binding. I decided to go with the S so I could get a smaller footprint and closer fit, but I think that might have been a mistake. The boot DOES fit, but only just, and it actually has to squeeze in a little, so if I get ice build up in the binding over the day, I might not be able to get my foot in anymore. Adjusting the angle of the high-backs and getting the binding placed in the correct location at the correct angle on the board were all surprisingly difficult. Lastly, the Dark Grey color looks nothing like the pictures in real life, it's actually closer to a dark green, so if you care about color you should probably just skip the grey and go black.

So much adjustment

Good looking bindings that have lots of adjustability, so much that most people won't even be able to take advantage of all of it. Regardless, it's better to have the adjustability than to not have it when you need it. They look really really good, though a bit pricey, and they're very durable. these bindings didn't miss a beat all season long. Even when the binding bolt came a bit loose, it caused zero damage because of how much heft the bindings have in those critical areas.
